This lovely B&B is situated near the train station and close to the tram stops that go to the center of Ghent. Every morning we had a nice breakfast in the "old pharmacy" - inexpensive but very tasty with good variety of food suiting everyone's taste.
The rooms were very cosy - we booked two rooms, one en-suite and one with a large external bathroom for our use only. The rooms were comfortable and bathrooms were very tidy.
This is not a hotel but family-run bed and breakfast with the owners always happy to advice on what to see or do in the town, e.g. visiting the flower market on Sunday morning.

Very friendly host couple. Nice to start a day in a comfy breakfast room.
Rainy weather.

It might seem inconsequential to some, but I really appreciated that they have sheets and blankets on the bed, rather than a duvet. Much better temperature regulation. And they provide wash mitts, which is a nice touch. Plus the Host is so kind, accommodating, and helpful. A real pleasure to stay here. The shower is stunning! And the breakfast were very elegant and tasty.
The back bedrooms overlook the very busy train tracks nearby, which might be disturbing to some. But I enjoy seeing trains, so that was not a problem for us. There is not much English language content on the television, but again, we did not come all the way to Ghent to watch TV!

House is old so could be noisy.

Really close to the train station (which is not in central Ghent) which was great for us! Hosts were lovely and the room was huge! Loved the look of the place which was classy!

B&B Expo 13 was a lovely place to stay in Gent. The spacious room was super clean and comfortable, beautifully designed, and with a massive bed. Paid extra for the breakfast which was delicious and plentiful. The location is perfect for what we required.
Nothing really - the only slight negative was it would be quite difficult to have a quick shower, really designed for a bath.

Lovely characterful building, good location near train station, excellent hosts and very nice breakfast

Wonderful bathroom with a big bath and plenty of hot water after a hard day's exhibition-going. Interesting location and much of the old town could be got to on foot. The proprietor was very helpful about getting around.
Breakfast adequate only for a 'luxury' b&b - many little bon-bouches but not a good variety of breads or 'viands'. There was nowhere to put a cup or mug of tea or coffee by the bed in the morning nor was there an adequate bedside lamp - just a narrow (4 inch shelf with a black-shaded inefficient lamp against a black wall! No milk for the tea and coffee arrangements. The whole place was -designer-modern and not very comfortable except for a good bed and lots of room and a good bath with nowhere to put soap etc.

I love everything about this place! We received a very warm welcome. The modern rooms are beautifully decorated. You can find beers, wines (at convenient prices) and tea/coffee in the room. The location is perfect, right next to the station. However, as the rooms are very well isolated, we could hardly hear the trains passing. The breakfast room has a beautiful Victorian style. It is a varied breakfast with fresh and quality products. Highly recommended!
I loved everything! I wish we could have stayed longer!
