Even though they didnt speak english, the staff was extremely helpful. Aircon was good and quiet, the fridge minibar was full of drinks at very reasonable prices and the balcony was nice.
It's right next to a very noisy street. Its like Ecuadorians get paid per honk on their cars. It's also not very clean, but that is reflected in the price and the neighbourhood. I can recommend it if you dont mind these things.

I was not supposed to stay in Guayaquil but it was late, I was not able to go to another city so I booked a room very late and I got a really nice room at Hotel Onix Gold which has a good location, 10mn by taxi from the bus terminal. The staff was very helpfull, he manage to upgrade me in a room with a TV even though I booked a room without TV, he gives me good suggestions also which was very helpfull for me and the hotel is very clean. I recommand 100%

Very helpful and friendly staff.

The location was ok but the neighborhood looks bad and dangerous.
The pictures don't report the reality. Uncomfortable bed, rough and old towels, and the shower were bad too. Plus, our door didn't lock so we didn't feel safe.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay. This hotel might be one option.
Everything. The room is old and not well maintained. Our door didn’t lock at all. The location is not good, dangerous and surrounded with drugs dealers.

Not a very welcoming area to stay, no English speakers

Comfy room and clean bathroom with warm water at the perfect temperature.
Simple, but good for what you pay.

The location is terrible... I have travelled all over Guayaquil and I would say this is one of the worst streets despite being quiite near Guararte (still a taxi ride). Expect drunks, high crime, noise. The room was an upgrade from the standard double yet was shabby with broken light fittings, no window and a twenty year old tv. There was noise from the corridor through the night. The front of house staff however are lovely. This should really be in the $15 dollar range. The street needs a clean up and some policing... It could be great.
Front of house staff were friendly and helpful.

Good accommodation in general. Comfortable and with a/c
Location is something like contradictory thing. On the one hand it is in the very city center. However the very street the hotel is located on is full of bums and city weirdos.

they offered a fridge in the room, but the room didn't have one, and at the moment to pay they asked for $17 when the booking was for $15 include taxes, but he told us that this is the price, too many surprises
The neighbor is dangerous at night, no recommendable to walk around
the desk manager asked for extra money for the fridge and extra money for the television, both were included in the reserve online
