Το μπάνιο μικρό κ άβολο ο νιπτήρας πάρα πολύ κοντός σε σχέση με το ύψος ενός μετρίου ανθρώπου. Δε ήταν ήσυχα κ κουραστική η διαδρομή ως το δωμάτιο.

The bed creaked and there are many unavoidable staircases both inside and out, which made us less inclined to pop in and out

Very nice staff and good swimming pool!

The staff was very kind and the view was absolutely amazing.

The breakfast wasn’t super great, it was not a lot and a lot of things very finished often. The towels gave of little particles and the matrasses were a little too hard in our opinion.

Very disappointing.

Close location to catch the ferry the following day. Nice places in the area to shop and eat.

We booked the hotel specifically because they advertise a swimming pool. When we arrived and asked for pool access we were told that the pool was "out of order" due to no fault of theirs. Very disappointing. They also advertise a small place on the second floor to eat. It was all locked up with newspaper on the glass so obviously they are renovating.

The Kastro is a bit of history for Ikarians. Old fashion in many ways but we always come back.

We like the funky vibe…no one trying too hard. We like the views from the terraces.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility issues. We have stayed there a number of times but the many steps to reach it and then to get to the room was challenging this time.

Location is everything

Excellent location overlooking the town, harbour and sea. Nice clean, comfortable and spacious room. Regret we never asked the owners name but he was so friendly and helpful and went out of his way to assist us where possible. The pool was an extremely welcome, and rare addition Great value for money and would highly recommend this place.

The only thing we could comment on is that the room furniture is a little dated - and that’s being picky.

Walking distance from the village and to Therma (20min), balcony with the see view, very quiet place and of course the swimming pool!

Hotel a bit old-school. There is a steep climb to the hostel but manageable.

Disappointing

The elevator was not functioning, the lobby was a mess…dirty workman’s boots and plastic waste on floor…and no breakfast was served « due to covid », though restrictions have been lifted in Greece.

Good out door space, excellent location, easy check in and check out, helpful staff, flexible check in and check out time.

The pool was not able to be used as out of season which was not communicated. Breakfast was not available either as not enough staff.

It was an ok place to stay.

Location and view were great. Room was very clean. Staff was helpful on Sunday morning.

Building has a lot of construction going on. Between noise and construction materials everywhere Im not sure we saw the best of this hotel.

Pleasant

A very pleasant gentleman welcomed me. It was very close to the centre and I was able to book at very short notice even though it was winter and most places were closed.

It was very very cold in the room.

Superb

Come here and "real" Greece is in front of you! Amazing stay “few” steps from harbor. Corner room which gave us a fantastic view of town and water. Room had a safe box and a fridge which was extra plus. Friendly reception people.

Superb WiFi, Excellent Location

Very friendly check in and great communication prior. I needed strong WiFi for work and past reviews indicated it’s great. They weren’t wrong. As good as my fiber internet back home. Great central location as long as one doesn’t mind walking up some stairs outdoors. Free parking at the marina, 200 meters away. Close to all the shops and restaurants.

The wooden bunk bed, from one to the other side of the room, with a cute wooden laddet... I loved it!!! Kids were excited to sleep there!

The bathroom was small and not as nice as the rest of the room There were no window nets and so we were occasionally finding some creepy insects inside the room

Exceptional

Very good value for the money. Everything was smaller in scale and cozy, which we liked. More importantly, everything was super clean and cleaning was done properly. Otherwise, great location, very nice view, nice staff, will stay again when we visit Ikaria.
