Quiet and Clean

Staff, location, comfortable bed.
Shower in room with private bathroom was broken and not usable. When I turned the water on, a lot came leaking through the ceiling.

room was very dirty - it had probably not been used for a few weeks before we got there and hence it was very dusty (they could have just vacuumed once more before we got there), the walls need a fresh layer of paint. The room was moist and a little smelly and you could hear the worms living inside the wooden wardrobe which was full of spider webs. The shower in our bathroom was one of those electric ones (which I hate anyways cause water and electricity don’t go together, though they’re normal in central/south America), but it was leaking into the socket into which it was plugged so just a literal life hazard. Also there were billions of insects in the kitchen and one cockroach in our room, but that really is normal for boquete and I think no hostel can really do anything about it

I liked the garden, the house itself is beautiful. The bedroom itself was clean. Host speaks English which made things easier for us.
First of all this is a youth hostel. i would advice against booking this property if you are not looking for that. That said: When we first arrived the kitchen was very dirty. Insects crawling all over it, making it an unsanitary place to cook. We asked staff if checkout at 7 was possible. They agreed. Next morning we want to checkout and staff member is no where to be found. Rooms are very noisy, you can hear every conversation. Houserules are not enforced we had to ask other guests to keep the noice down. Location wise its not great. Its easy enough to get to the town center. But around the hostel was not a pleasent area. All and all it essentially is especially with the language school tied to it, student housing on vacation. It was the complete opposite of what we were expecting and what seemed to be advertised. For the price we paid it was disappointing.

It was a good stay, a quiet place but with good facilities.
The hostel was very small and not fully booked, so it was not very social at the time with other people.

Nice staff, cleanness, Good value for money.
Only minuses are probably cold water in the bathroom and small rooms with bunkbeds.

I loved the people! It immediately felt like home when I arrived, that’s also why I decided to stay a day longer. Carlos really made me feel very welcome
location is a bit too far from the city centre, but you can easily get there by taking a cab for $1 (per person).

Very friendly staff, helpful and caring.
The hostel dog Lucy is lovely if at times a little stressed out by the rainstorms. Needs cuddles :)
The room was great, comfy bed and spacius wardrobe. Large and clean bathroom.
Very well stocked kitchen with everything you need.

great chill out area also for bigger groups, good equipped kitchen and a helpful host
weather was rainy and a bit far away from center, however, there are cheap busses

Our host was amazing! Super helpful and kind! The place has nice little common area perfect for chilling at night.
EDIT: previous review was for the wrong hostel.
This hostel has lost of potential but need a little love. The furniture was extremely old and the lights were mostly just a light bulb by itself. The walls are thin and you can hear pretty much anything in the other rooms. Having said that, I would still go back because it is a great value for the money.

Cosy little hostel, feels more intimate. Host was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Enough planks for your things. Nice garden to hang out.
Location is a little far from the hikes and tours, but for most tours they will pick you up and to get to Boquete by bus/taxi is like 0.50 to 1 or 2 dollars.

The host (Sammy) was amazingly helpful and organised discounted trips for us (like the volcano and the hot springs), and was just very friendly and made it a great experience.
The facilities could have been a tad cleaner but nothing that would put us off staying again. The lock on our door was broken but Sammy was very apologetic and explained he was waiting on a maintenance man.

It’s a nice, quaint little hostel. Very calm and peaceful. I like that they have small rooms and so you only share space with one other person.
It is quite a long distance from Boquete town, so if you like being in the hub, maybe find a place in Boquete. Having said that, it is easy to get a taxi into town.
The hostel advertises that they can arrange transfer from David airport but when I asked about it, they were not eager to help and just pointed me to the regular taxi, which is not a problem but then I wish they wouldn’t advertise it.

It's a quiet place if you really want to sleep well after a long hike and don't listen to some noise from the center of Boquete. And the breakfast on the terrace was a joy.

The staff was very nice!
The rooms have only two beds, so most of the times you can feel like being in a private room.
The kitchen and common areas are very clean and comfortable.
The bus / taxi to the village only costa like 1$.
There is a very cheap place to eat next to the hostel.
The fact that it’s not that close to the village center.

Nice chill atmosphere, very welcoming. We stayed three nights to hike the volcano and discover Boquete and it was perfect. Only $1 away (per person) by taxi of city centre.

Quiet and peaceful location, comfortable room and big bathroom with hot water. Well equipped kitchen and nice shared common areas.
The hostel is quite far from Boquette - you need to get a bus. The bed was extremely squeaky, it woke us every time we turned!

Very nice hostel with a lovely garden, one of the most clean kitchens we've seen at a hostel and cozy rooms.
Very helpful staff.
A bit far from the city, but you can easily get a taxi for a good price from the road close to the hostel.

The hostel had a nice kitchen where you can cook all your meals. There is an amazing bakery down the road. It is not in the center of Boquete but you know this when you book the accommodation. The bathroom was really big and there was a warm shower.
The bed is really old and made a lot of noise when you turned in the bed.
We were welcomed by a boy and girl who slept in the reception room and apparently run the place. They did not give any information on what there is to do in Boquete or how to get to other places.

The host Fernando is incredible. Felt just like home, guests included. Beautiful surroundings.
Amenities and bed are outdated and could use a refresh.

The hosts were really nice and welcoming! The room was well kept.

Dorm with only 2 beds :), quiet location, big and lovely garden with a lo t of space to be, Fernando is unique -> thanks so much for everything 🙏🏽 (especially the birthday-couscous-dinner for me!)

I found the manager, Fernando, to be professional, helpful, and very personable. He is fluent in both Spanish and English and can be a great help to foreigners with limited Spanish speaking skills. The atmosphere at the hostel is quite good. A small grocery store and a couple restaurants are within 5 minutes walking distance.
The water in the shower could be hotter.
