Ik kwam, ik zag en hield er van

Het uitzicht vanuit de kamers, de vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van het personeel en het heerlijke eten maakten van onze eerste 2 dagen Sicilië een feest. Prachtig overzicht over de omgeving en de Etna die we vanuit hier hebben beklommen ( ruim 1,5 uur rijden). Fijne bedden. Heerlijk geslapen. Het laatste deel van de Google Maps route ging bij ons niet goed. Na twee rondjes door het dorp en een telefoontje werden we opgehaald. Topservice. Aanrader.

Beautiful surroundings in a local town with a few opportunities to improve the quality of our stay

Kind and welcoming host and beautiful room with a large balcony and amazing views. The outdoor pool has a remarkable view above the mountains. Nice breakfast and sitting area

Our room was next to a family with kids and the walls are super thin, wherein you can make out conversations through the wall and this became problematic at night if you sleep earlier than your neighbours. The reception desk was not particularly easy to find and we had to ask other guests where to check-in. Although the pool was amazing, there were bugs in the water

Surreal place, was the highlight of our trip

Absolutely amazing place, I regret that we stayed there one night only, but what a night it was! The views are breathtaking, in addition we came there on supermoon and there was a live music evening. The place is authentic, but everything is new and clean. Staff very helpfull. Definitely recommend

Perfect Honeymoon Stay

Breakfast was delicious with fresh pastries, sliced meats, cheese, bread etc. The evening meals were lovely and there were a couple of amazing restaurants nearby (try Belvedere). The owner Mario was amazing and so lovely to talk to, the cleaners came everyday and did a great job. Entertainment was provided on Sunday and it was brilliant. The view was absolutely incredible. The rooms have a smart TV.

Driving up the hill to get into the village was not for people with a weak stomach - it was DIFFICULT. I'd recommend parking lower down the hill and walking or catching the bus. Also, on the weekend almost everything in town was shut making it quite difficult to find somewhere to eat.

Exceptional

First off, Mario set the tone early by coming to meet us as we wandered around looking for check in. This was a lovely touch and we were a little lost so we appreciated it. He was also very flexible to meet our requests and a gracious host throughout. The room was absolutely stunning. The views were unparalleled and being on the mountain top was great fun.

The wifi was not working while we were there but that helped us unplug for a while. Getting up the hill through Agira is a bit of an adventure so be ready for a bit of an exciting drive (narrow streets, very steep). It makes for a good story though. To be fair went a bit out of season, but it was very hard to predict the availability of the 2 restaurants near the hotel. They should update their google open hours/days.

the view and location are incredible, we loved being able to enjoy warm morning sunshine in early spring. great breakfast

although there seem to be kitchenette facilities, none of these are actually useable. it would have been nice to make a hot drink in the room.

I will return. The view and ambience of this place were amazing.

The view is stunning. The room was great and the facilities restaurant and pool were made for relaxing. Friendly helpful staff. I was only going to stay 2 nights but made it 3 I liked this place so much. I will return.

Amazing views of Etna and delightful host

It's been said before - but the views from this property are amazing!! It is a little hard to get to (roadworks making accessibility a bit challenging) but it is definitely worth it when you do :) Mario, the host, is lovely. Provided a great breakfast with both local bakery treats and fresh fruits, and recommended we walk up to the castello at sunset for 360 degree views, which I highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel, room was spacious and charming, loved the terrace and the fridge. it had fantastic views, delicious food and superclean. Agira is non touristy and quiet, and really interesting. the staff was really friendly, and hotel is not expensive.

The aircon was unstable and noisy. Dear hotel, fix this and everything would have been perfect. The walls are also thin, but that is more the rule then an exception in Italy.

Extraordinary hospitality concept, which consists of a cluster of several old houses on the mountain top. The rooms are quite simply furnished, but lack nothing. The view over the island's interior is probably the most spectacular you can experience in Sicily. Do go!

ENJOYABLE, charming property, excellent location, helpful staff and exquisite food. WILL RETURN.

From the beginning of our stay till the end, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Dinners were excellent and something to look forward to. The surroundings and the views are unbeatable. Room was very clean. The owners have done a great job converting these properties.

Small issues which can be easily rectified. The wifi in our room did not work. This was annoying in view that we could not even get mobile phone coverage in our room. The hot water flow was irregular. The room lacked sufficient lighting for evenings spent indoors. Two additional stand lamps would make all the difference. An electric kettle/jug would be a welcome addition to the many items in the kitchenette.
