Pleasant enough but room needn’t clean up improvement

The building is beautiful and the bar area is amazing. Such fab decor.

The room was dusty round the edges of the carpet, the iron had an once buildup of dust in it. work tools under the bed from a previous occupant, hairs in the mattress protector 😞

Ideal for contractors

Nice hotel, very modern and tidy. Rooms are very well equipped for a long stay if your a contractor like us. Just off the main high street enough so you don't hear the traffic. Beds are very comfortable.

Parking isn't the best if you're in a van. There are car parks nearby, but it's nice to be able to keep an eye on your tools and van eqch night if it's parked outside. Beer is a bit pricey, considering it's on a high street with 5/6 pubs.

Very clean, easy access to Race Course. Nice staff but a little overpriced considering facilities.

Good location for Race course, Hotel was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel also had electric car charging facilities free of charge.

The bathroom were small, the room didnt really have anywhere to hang clothes apart from a 10" gap. No breakfast offered apart from a small packed offering which was priced reasonably @ £5. High tech door entry system for the room with a key pad which I've never seen before and everything was locked down from 11 at night to 9 am .

Pay a little more and have peace of mind you can park your car safely.

Parking is not good. I was told I had to move my car to a car park 5 minutes away. When I has walked back to the hotel a car was parked where I was. It stayed there all night and was still there in the morning. I was a lone woman having to walk down a very dim lit alley way and didn’t feel safe. I stayed at this hotel last year but unfortunately will not stay her again.

Regal yet Quaint

It was quite regal yet comfortable, location was nice the atmosphere was lovely, food was great and service was wonderful

It's an old building so we repacked into smaller bags to carry up to our room which wasn't a problem, if you had any walking issues it would be a bit difficult

avoid the small rooms

bar and restaurant and location were very good indeed

it was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. barely space to stand up. not sure rooms of this size should be allowed as a hotel room. the bathroom stank of drains every time a toilet was flushed in rooms next to me. thoroughly miserable stay to be honest

couldn’t get in the car park because it was full of people in vans smoking weed.

The room was clean

The multi functional toilet seat that could quite possibly irrigate someone. Also, almost impossible to find your room after the doors are locked when you only checked in, showered and went out to meet a friend. Ridiculous system.

Perfectly good hotel if you prefer to help independents rather than chains, i would stay again.

Stayed in Room 5 other rooms may not reflect this Interesting building, good facilities in lounge & bar, bit of a slow check in process, possibly a newish staff member. its an independent operator and as such does not have some of the slickness big operators have but i like that my money is helping an owner rather than a big chain. Room felt clean, and well equipped.

there is limited parking i felt this was not highlighted as well as it might be

It was nice but just needed the heating to turn off which it wouldn’t. I would come back again.

It was very clean and had a comfy bed

The heating wouldn’t turn off and we were the bottom floor. I woke up several times during the two nights because of how hot it was. We tried the ac but it didn’t work well and it seemed a bit off putting being on the bottom floor with the window open while I slept. I would come back again but I’d just need to be somewhere where the room wasn’t so hot.

friendly staff and it was clean and comfortable, particularly good bed.

The car park is ridiculous it seems like the cars are dumped from the sky! the public car park is not too far away but would have preferred our car to be on site.

nice quiet hotel very enjoyable stay I really wanted to extend my stay right upto Christmas eve

The room was much bigger than expected, staff are very friendly polite and professional for a budget room I had two very comfortable beds, great heating and air conditioning, flat screen Tv and all thats needed, at a low price, I will definitely be going back there

Hotel easy to find where we had a pleasant stay.

Perfect location. Good room. Surprised to find a fridge, microwave and toaster

Very snug. Not really anywhere to put cases. We were only there for one night so this wasn’t a problem. The room smealt vaguely sweaty.(maybe the previous guests had used the microwave?).
