We loved everything about this place. The view, the condo and the amazing staff. We were four and just arrived seeking to have beachfront comfort with classy property and that is what we experienced here! Super maintained, beautiful grounds and just feet away from the water. We watched sunsets on our balcony and fell asleep to the sound of Maui's finest sounds of the ocean. Love, Love, love this place. It was great to experience Kihei as well (missing Lahaina of course.) Totally fun. Rest assured we will be back!

Our stay at Kihei Sands was delightful. The unit provides enough space for two couples although the kitchen is a bit tight. Beds are comfortable. The microwave light doesn’t turn on or off so we chose to have it left on which resulted in more nighttime light than we liked in the upstairs bedroom. Our upstairs bathroom worked well; however our friends indicated the downstairs shower head was weak. The staff are all helpful. Special shout-out to Patrick who got us familiar with Airplay so we could watch hockey on the big screen! And also to Geo who does a great job keeping the grounds and pool clean. We found the kitchen a bit crammed with stuff so moved the extra stuff to high shelves or the hallway chest. Laundry is handy to the unit, if a bit overpriced. We did most of our own cooking but also found lots of restaurants to choose from near by. The beach is great at this location. We will stay again.

Where do I begin. Several family members traveled to Maui and stayed at Kihei Sands. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and was even able to check in early. The condo was clean, spacious and the kitchen was very well stocked. The view from B9 was incredible. Highly recommend this unit. As a family, we all met on the patio for morning coffee. We listened to the ocean and enjoyed the warm weather and breezes. In the evenings we would gather again for a BBQ or potluck dinner. This time watching the incredible sunsets and even star gazing. The owner and manager were always accessible and extremely accommodating. We could not have asked for more. Kihei Sands is located right next door to Sugar Beach Events. The perfect place to stay if attending a wedding. The property was always clean and very well maintained. Our whole experience at Kihei Sands was truly magical. If we are ever fortunate enough to visit Maui again, we will definitely be staying at Kihei Sands. Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

What a wonderful place to stay!! So close to the water, the beds were comfortable, the people who worked there were lovely and we were so close to so much! I loved it. We had both of the water front second story units and I could not have been happier. Two small complaints. The first was the one of the owners/neighbors was doing construction on his bathroom and would start with saws and hammers at 7am every morning. Second was that they put out coffee in the courtyard in front around 6:30am which should have been lovely except that meant a bunch of people talking loudly in front of our windows. Everything was perfect t about these two condos with the exception of getting woken up between 6:30-7am every morning while on vacay...that was not awesome.

I spent a week at Kihei Sands with my youngest son and two grandsons in unit B9. It was our first time on Maui and we had a wonderful experience. Staying at Kihei Sands was a huge part of that wonderful experience on Maui. The staff was very responsive via email prior to us coming out, especially with my concerns regarding the recent fires. We will definitely return to Kihei Sands on our next trip to Maui!

We stayed a week at the end of Feburary/early March. We saw whales very often from the balcony! The condo is nicely appointed. It is a bit small, but we were able to fit a queen-size air mattress in the livingroom area. Note that the second bedroom is a loft -- not an enclosed bedroom. This wasn't ideal, and that hadn't been clear from the listing. The kitchen is quite small as well, but nicely equipped. We like to cook and there were all the pots and pans and tools needed, plus a ton of spices and oils, etc. We were not bothered by any noise from people gathering down in the common area, which some other reviews had mentioned. Parking is included, but the spots are VERY tight. The location is perfect - basically in the middle of the island, and the sandy beach in front is gorgeous!

This unit has a wonderful view and adequate space for two couples. The kitchen is a bit tight but manageable once you get your groove. We found the kitchen cupboard overflowing with dishes and cookware so moved some out of our reach. Next time we will purge to the bedroom closet to make it more workable for us. This condo is at the front of the complex on the ocean, has a great balcony, 2B 2B with all windows facing the ocean. The small complex and this unit are well cared for; it has a full well equipped kitchen. We didn't feel the need to use the small pool with the ocean so close. There is a small lawn and patin with lounges, tables and BBQ's. There is beach equipment available to be used as well as great beach towels in each unit. We had a parking pass for the small lot off the highway.

Sugar Beach
Great ocean front condo. Steps away from grassy area with chaise lounges, nice beach or pool. Online photos are accurate. Spacious enough inside for 4 adults. The lanai is small with just enough space to sit but not spread out. Nice central location to access Haleakala NP, RTH, Upcountry, restaurants and beaches up and down the coastline.

With the intimate feel of only about 40 condos and the silky sand of Sugar Beach, you just can't compare it to any other location. Pool is super clean & refreshing, gas barbeques and coffee every morning on the patio, smores nights, lots of pool toys and beach chairs for all to use. Condos have always been extremely clean, they provide beach towels and all the basic supplies you need for your stay including spices, tp, soaps etc. Staff is always friendly and willing to help with anything. I will never stay anywhere else.

Relaxing stay in Maui
Well we finally made it to Maui after being delayed by Covid twice. Kihei Sands offers a bit for everyone in a condo atmosphere. Highly recommend renting B9 which has an amazing view and the only condo that is right on the ocean. The hospitality here is great with onsite managers responding almost immediately to any concern or need. Inside the condo consists of 1 king bedroom downstairs and an open air loft on the second floor. The only piece we would have wanted to change was having a bit for privacy for the second floor room. Condo is fully stocked with any kitchen supply or utensil you need to make it an enjoyable experience. The patio is small and can get crowded with large groups (depending on who is staying in the units). I would have liked to see more chairs and umbrellas for the tables but adhering to social distancing can make that difficult. I’m more of a resort person but this condo is perfect for a family stay where you want to all stay in the same place. Thank you for a great Maui experience.

This was our 3rd or 4th time staying at Kihei Sands, and it was our best time yet. The condo was updated, the beds were very comfortable, and the views were incredible. This facility always feels relaxed and welcoming to all, and it was this vacation as well. The laundry facility was also open many times for our use. The grounds were very well maintained and have become even more beautiful as the years have passed. Thank you for everything!

Stayed here with family in November. Love the central south Kihei location & beach access directly in front of this unit. Small complex. Friendly staff. This unit is good for two couples and sits directly on the beach ( you’ll hear those waves which can take a day to get used to!) stunning sunrise & sunset views! This unit also has the largest outdoor space, which comfortably seats for. 4. Comfortable furnishings & beds (2-Kings). Well stocked kitchen basics make it great for longer stays. We love Kihei Sands & will be back.
