Basic accommodation, clean, safe and catered for most of my needs.

The location is alright and in close proximity to everywhere one would likely want to go. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are also kept tidy and clean and the cost was fairly reasonable. I quite enjoyed my stay.

The WiFi was a big issue for me. It kept going down and I couldn't access YouTube as it seems to have been blocked. I understand that they probably want to limit abuse but I needed to watch some skills development videos, so that set me back quite a lot, enough for me to have found that frustrating. They should set the expectation beforehand, as the WiFi was an important part of my requirements. Perhaps consider throttling YouTube or perhaps have a seperate paid for Internet option that does not have restrictions in addition to free WiFi? Internet access for most other purposes was alright apart from it going down quite a lot so please take a look at fixing that?

Loved it and would always love going back

I loved everything about Valdez I'm a customer and I recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing time away from home.

the lady on reception was very welcoming. Great location.

cigarette butts in the ashtray outside, not as clean as it could have been. there was an overpowering smell of incense.

Disappointing

back from street, nice and quiet, liked the private courtyard. electric blanket location - the event I was attending was close to the motel, so that was handy.

The bed was small in comparison to headboard, and it was hard I specifically phoned ahead to confirm there was a spa bath in my room, however very dissapointed to find it was only a bath, that use to be a spa. Tv was to small and to far from bed and lounge area, also poor tv reception and only four channels Although room was clean, it was abit run down, dark and sparse. I felt it was not good value for money, especially compared to other places Ive stayed at a cheaper rate.

Passable

The lady who we dealt with was friendly and very obliging. Upgraded us to a two bedroom unit which was required. Booking .com blurb indicated we were getting a twin room unit but that was not the case. Woman upgraded us with no extra charge.

A few of the lights in the unit didn`t go. Booking .com misrepresented what we were getting in the way of a twin bedroom unit.

Great for families!

Nice and tidy, and rooms were a great size for our family of 5. This place has good facilities in the room. Staff were approachable. It served as a great hub for us while we were in Hastings for a family funeral. Not too far from town and motorway.

Beds were a little firm but still had good sleeps in them.

I would not recommend this facility, nor would I stay there again

The location was the best part of the venue. The receptionist was very informative when I challenged the price charged when there was a considerably cheaper deal on offer. The coffee and tea was replenis daily

The lawns and garden reflect the state of the facility, I was in Unit 12. The spa bath didn’t work, nor did the phone.. no dial tone. The light bulb has blown. One side of the electric blanket only works. The pillows were in dire need of being replaced..one was filthy. There were ants in the bathroom. The musty mouldy smell is due to food etc stuck in the vent on the kitchen . Overpriced.. there was a cheaper deal on offer.. Booking com did me no. favours booking this facility.. I was very disappointed with the state of the Valdez given I have stayed 3 times previously albeit spanning years,

The staff member at the front desk was helpful, efficient and provided good recommendations of local food. The room itself was spacious.

One of the light bulbs in the room was blown. The fridge also made a lot of noise, which woke me up throughout the night twice.
