About this apartment rental
CIN: C.I. M0270427244
Historic apartment of the XIV century, recently renovated and furnished in Venetian style, with exposed beams and Murano glass chandeliers.
The apartment, called Ca 'Ai Putti (House of Cherubini ), located on the first floor in the Dorsoduro district (20 steps), can comfortably accommodate 6/8 guests, with its 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms , kitchen and large living / dining room.
All spaces have been decorated in Venetian style, the polished wooden floors make the house warm and cozy, as well as high ceilings with wooden beams and period features Venetian Gothic windows.
The fully equipped kitchen allows you to accommodate large groups. The bedrooms, each of a different color, is bright and spacious and expertly coordinated style ' Rococo '. Throughout the house you can admire the splendid chandeliers in Murano glass, which give shine and lavishness.
The two bathrooms, one with shower and washing machine and the other with the pond, there are close to two of the three bedrooms.
The apartment is decorated in Venetian style, with Murano chandeliers and colorful fabric wallpaper on the walls.
The apartment is about 300 meters from the Cà Rezzonico ferry stop. Very easy to reach both from Venice Santa Lucia train station (ferry line 1) and from Venice Marco Polo Airport (Orange Alilaguna ferry).
It is located in a quiet area of Venice, in the Dorsoduro district, in one of the most beautiful 'calle', very close to several restaurants and bars.
Dorsoduro boasts a rich presence, second only to the sestiere of San Marco, of churches, palaces and museums.
Right in the center of the sestiere we find Campo Santa Margherita, a space very popular with young university students and tourists, considered one of the most lively places in the city. It is the ideal place if you want to stop and try the "spritz", an alcoholic aperitif prepared with prosecco, aperol (bitter) and sparkling water. At night the Campo is one of the places most frequented by young people, who consider it a meeting place for the Venetian nightlife.
A walk along the Fondamenta Zattere is highly recommended, which will allow you to enjoy a very suggestive view of the Giudecca Canal. In spring-summer it becomes one of the most popular places to walk, thanks also to the rich presence along the Fondamenta of bars, ice-cream parlors and restaurants.
The Zattere and Accademia area is also considered one of the most exclusive in the city as it contains within it the rare examples of modern residential architecture.
300 meters from the Cà Rezzonico ferry stop; you can reach all points of interest (Piazza San Marco - 10 min, Rialto Bridge - 10 min, Architecture Biennale, La Fenice Theater ..).
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with a "small welcome basket" with Italian products and the booking will send you via email a guide of Venice.

Great home close enough to walk to St. Mark’s Square but far enough from the tourist crowds. Local market is just a short walk for food and other essentials. Great food, gondola rides nearby. Comfortable beds. Perfect for family and friends. I highly recommend!

The pictures displayed on the website for this property are accurate, however, they don’t do it justice.
This apartment has elegant appointments. It is a visual representation of a time that has passed. Upon entering, it is apparent that the property is well loved and cared for. The walls have elegant coverings. The furnishings are a throwback to an earlier time and are meant to make guests comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and accommodating. The location is central to most amusements that are desired by visitors. Restaurants and shops are a short walk from the property. Not too far away my husband found my new favorite pistachio croissant and Americano coffee!
Our group truly enjoyed the property and location. The only downside, however, was the smells and noise from a restaurant located nearby. We compensated by indulging in more local wine.
We were able to find our way to all sites using iPhone maps, and avoiding Google maps, which did not work well.

We brought our daughter her husband and 3 grandchildren. The apartment is beautiful and was comfortable and convenient. Our host was extremely nice and very helpful. We’d come ba k.

The location of the apartment is really perfect--a quiet neighborhood but very close to everything. We loved shopping at the fruit & veg boat and visiting the local cafes. Lots of great restaurants to choose from right nearby. The apartment is so elegant and beautifully restored and furnished--felt like stepping into a time machine. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms great. A perfect trip. Would happily return!

The apartment was spacious and well appointed as depicted in the photos. The check in process was smooth and very well communicated with meeting at the vaporetto stop. It was a relatively short walk from the train and also easily accessible via vaporetto. A lovely area and convenient to the sites.

Excellent spot that is out of the touristy areas to really enjoy Italian living!

Great lication!! We lived it. Just beds are too hard and AC is not strong enough in hot months. They were great to deal with

Thoroughly enjoyed this apartment and our stay in Venice. Clean, comfortable, with a very good location. Worked great for our large (7 people, 3 generations) group. Added plus: it was very, very hot outside but the A/C kept us comfortable.

We LOVED the location and the accommodations. Hosts were communicative, accommodating and space was just lovely.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the location and home of Scillia’s. They were kind enough to give us lots of recommendations leading into our trip and meeting us to walk us to the apartment. The apartment is gorgeous; well appointed and within walking distance of two beautiful squares. We do wish the air conditioning was stronger during the heat wave as the rooms stayed hot for sleep. Otherwise, fantastic!

Beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood. Approximately 20 minute walk to St Mark’s Square. Beautifully decorated with a well stocked kitchen. Air conditioning and wifi work well, although both sometimes had trouble reaching the back bedrooms. So close to vaporetto station, which was incredibly convenient. Would highly recommend this property!!!!

We loved staying here, away from the hustle and bustle of St. Mark’s, but still conveniently located. The apartment was beautiful and easy to get to from the vaporetto stop. It was the perfect size for our group and everything we needed was provided, so we had no reason to contact our host. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a stunning apartment, well equipped, meticulously clean in a non-touristy area. Great restaurants nearby, easy walk to the Zattere. We were sad to go but hope to return someday.

The stay at Scilla's beautiful apartment was perfect! We were met at the vaporetto stop and escorted to the apartment which was a quick walk. The apartment is stunning with its Venetian decor, high ceilings and Murano chandeliers. The location was near a piazza with plenty of restaurants and shops. It was away from the touristy part of Rialto & San Marco, but close enough to easily go for a tour. It was nice to stay away from the really busy areas. I would highly recommend staying in this apartment. Everything was absolutely perfect!!! Thank you Scilla! Ciao 🇮🇹

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scilla and family’s beautiful residence in the Dorsoduro Sestiere of Venezia. The home is even more lovely than the pictures can convey. Our family ranging from 5 years to 85 years found the stay comfortable and relaxing. We ate our dinners I and lunches out which gave us all time together enjoying both Venice and family culture. The bakeries, grocery store, cafes, and even neighborhood sundry stores were just across a bridge in the Camp S. Margherita or down the calle to Camp S. Barnaba. And the gelato at Grom was sublime. We happen to return for another visit to Bella Venezia and to stay in Scilla’s Bella home.

The apartment captures the essence of Venice. The location is wonderful, close enough to all of the "touristy" areas but far enough so that you feel like you are living like a true Venetian. The walls are fabric and the decor is just amazing. You will have everything you need for your stay, Scilla even provided a baby bed and high chair. Communication was outstanding and she was very accommodating when our train was cancelled, delaying our arrival by a whole day. Would stay here again and would absolute recommend to my friends/family.

This property would be at the top of my list for a repeat trip to Venice. The only thing it was missing was a place to relax outdoors (which is hard to find anyway in Venice). Otherwise it was absolutely perfect. The location was ideal for many reasons: the area has everything you'd want including businesses and even an excellent grocery not far away; being across the Grand canal from tourist central meant it was protected from the throngs but was easy to walk to those areas when needed, the square within 2 blocks became a new favorite place to hang out in the evening, and it was a surprisingly reasonable walk to the train station for the traveller with lesser amounts of luggage. The unit was in extremely good condition and very well appointed. A/C was powerful. Communication with owners was easy and they were very helpful in figuring out if this size unit would work for our family.

What an amazing property! We couldn't have asked for a better location...coffee, food and shopping within a block.
We loved everything about the property - the location, the rooms, the air conditioning, the cleanliness, the property manager. Thank you for the complimentary prosecco in the fridge.
If you are going to stay in Venice - this is place to stay. The location was not crowded and was perfect walking distance to everything we wanted to do. And, the pizza place at the front door was delicious and so much more than a pizza place.
If you are going to Venice - you should stay here.

Charming, lavish, historical apartment in the heart of Venice
My husband and I stayed here with our 3 girls (17, 11, & 6). The apartment was the perfect size for our group and provided good sized bathrooms and bedrooms. Everything was decorated to the hilt in antique fashion to make our vintage stay in Venice that much more authentic...down to the coffee pot and toaster...and living room television. Yet it was very fashionably up to date and provided all of the modern day expectancies.
The location was perfect. It was easy to find and Scilla went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and content. My 6 year old daughter forgot her purse in the room (a small souvenir purchased in italy) and Scilla retrieved it from the apartment and brought it to us at the train station. We so appreciated her random act of kindness and would not accept anything in return for her trouble.
We loved the location. It was a great area of town and close to groceries, fantastic restaurants, and beautiful sights.
We would recommend this apartment and stay again in the future.
Thank you so much for a great stay and experience!

We loved everything about this apartment! Traveling with our three young children (9,5,3) this apartment was the perfect place to stay for three days in Venice. The area is free from the chaos of the touristy areas but still has great bars and restaurants and an easy walk to every attraction. Scilla was an excellent host who explained easily how to get the apartment and met us there right on time. It was a 3 minute walk from the water taxi stop. Scilla left us wonderful Easter chocolates and prosecco and some crackers for the children. It was such a nice touch. But the real star was the apartment. Spacious and with incredible ceilings. The pictures do not do it justice it is spectacular. The kitchen was fully stocked so it was easy to cook for a family of five (which we did twice). And great laundry facilities (key for families). Overall the kids and I loved being there and the surrounding area. And check out the African restaurant right next door it was a hidden gem that Scilla pointed out. We would absolutely return - and hope to one day!!!

This apartment is brilliant. Totally Venetian gorgeous with everything you could want. It is in a great location. We traveled with 3 grandchildren and were comfortable leaving them in Piazza San Barnaba so they could buy their gelati and then sit on the steps on the bridge to eat them before making their way home. We felt very smug going out with our shopping jeep to the supermercato and the canal boat selling the fruit and veg.
Scilla was reliable, gracious and generous with our welcome gifts and basic foodstuffs in stock. We have stayed in Venice many times but this was without doubt our best accommodation and location. Jan - Melbourne, Australia

Perfect apartment for a family getaway
This apartment was a home away from home in a fantastic location - close enough to the sights, but tucked away a little off the beaten track with a great selection of restaurants, cafes and shops in the neighbourhood. The apartment was spacious, comfortable and immaculately presented. Scilla was an excellent host. We would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Venice and look forward to returning soon.

Venetian Charm
We recently visited Venice with friends. Scilla asked if we would text the moment we stepped onto the Vaporetto. We did and 25 minutes later Scilla greeted us at our stop. It was a 5 minute walk to our apartment. It's located on a quiet street near a square. The minute you unlock the street door you walk into a brick foyer. One flight up the stairs you unlock your apartment door and enter into a beautiful 3 bedroom apartment furnished with Venetian antiques. This was exactly what we were hoping for. The apartment has everything you would need - comfortable beds, pillows, blankets, etc. It has a large living and dining area, cute kitchen and 2 bathrooms with stand up showers. There are numerous restaurants and shops in the area. We loved our visit to this apartment and we would come back again. Grazie Scilla.

Amazing stay!
From the moment Scilla greeted us we knew this was going to be a great stay! The neighborhood is fantastic. So many wonderful shops and restaurants, it’s hard to choose. The apartment is spectacular! Everything you need to feel at home is there. We felt very well taken care of when we were shown around the apartment by Scilla and she gave us a lovely treat to eat and wine.everything about this stay was perfect . Scilla is the most gracious and accommodating host!

gorgeous place
On our recent trip to Italy, my husband, son, and daughter- in- law stayed in 5 different hotels. Ca dei Putti was by far the best accommodation I had arranged for. The photos do not do the apartment justice. The walls are covered with gorgeous fabric, the 2 bathrooms are spacious, esp the master bath. The living area is beautiful. The little kitchen is more than adequate. The rooms are very clean. The windows are large and the ceilings are very high. There are 3 bedrooms even though we needed only 2...it was good to know there was an alternative in case the bed was not good in one room, or if maybe the room was not quiet. In fact, the room my son was in did face Calle Lunga San Barnaba and they could hear street noise at night but not enough to move into the back bedroom, but keep this in mind if you need all 3 bedrooms and are disturbed by noise. Scilla met us at the vaporetto stop and had little mini pizzas and a small bottle of asti spumante waiting for us. There is a small washing machine which we used to do about 3 small loads of clothes. The location was just wonderful...kind of out of the way but close to everything. For Sunday Mass we walked 2 short blocks over a canal to Santa Maria dei Carmini, a beautiful church. San Pantaleone is also very close. Hearing the church bells ring throughout the day is just something out of heaven! Unfortunately, San Barnaba doesnt seem to be used as a church anymore....there was a DaVinci machine exhibit in there instead. Ca dei Putti is an incredible value! It was so nice to be in an actual home instead of 2 separate rooms. We hope to return to Venice one day and when we do, I surely hope we can stay at Scilla's beautiful apartment again. By the way, in case you dont know, Putti are the little cherubs you see in many Renaissance paintings! I learned that while reading my book The Pilgrim's Guide to Rome's Principal Churches....highly recommended! Thank you again, Scilla!

Good place, great hostess
This apartment was off the main touristy area but close enough that it made for an easy walk home. The apartment was quiet and very comfortable for our family of 6. The only thing I would improve on are the beds. They were ok in comfort. Scilla is an amazing host. She communicated quickly and frequently. I had the flight from hell, missing my flight, with the rest of the family going ahead. There were lots of hurdles for us but Scilla was there to guide us the entire time. She was amazing. She also picked us up at the ferry stop and walked us to the apartment. Thank you Scilla for all your help. I would highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful memories of our stay in Venice!
This property was wonderful! The apartment was clean, comfortable and in a great location.
We found great restaurants nearby but the whole area was quiet. We had the impression that we were in someone's home.
The steps up to the apartment could be a problem for older people but the apartment was worth it.
The meeting up with Scilla, the owner, went without a problem and she was most accommodating when we needed help with lost luggage. The treats she left for us went down easily and were appreciated.
We have fond memories of our stay there and we would highly recommend this apartment to our friends who are thinking of a stay in Venice.
