About this house rental
Welcome to Casa Suerte ('Luck'). The location of our three-story home combines the best of both worlds—beach and town. In the heart of Sayulita, with stunning ocean views, Casa Suerte offers an exclusive corner just a minute's walk from great restaurants, a variety of shops, and the colorful town plaza. The beach is a two or three minute stroll from the front door.
Designed by a renowned local architect, Casa Suerte combines light, views, art, and functionality in a delightful way. The home has wonderful ocean views -- and rooftop terrace in particular has simply stunning ocean views.
The street entrance opens into a peaceful garden and cobblestoned area with secure parking. A spiral staircase leads to each of the home's three levels, all beautiful and unique with open floor plans.
Casa Suerte is made up of three levels, but Levels 2 and 3 are the main studio apartments. When you book, you should specify which level you would like.
Level 1 is a small self-contained studio that is best as an add on bedroom to one of the other two units. It has a little shower, sink, microwave, small refrigerator, dishes, air conditioning, fans, and windows for a breeze.
Level 2 has great ocean views and includes a full kitchen with large hand-crafted counters, king bed, comfortable pull out full bed, comfortable chairs and an eating bar. A lovely garden area leads to the bathroom featuring local stonework and artisan-made fixtures. The shower area is private and yet a little open air. (Bugs are not a problem ;) French doors open to a spacious patio equipped with a dining set, comfortable chairs, and ocean views. This level has air conditioning and ceiling fans.
Level 2 is ideal for those who may want to cook "at home" and enjoy ample outdoor 'living' space. The ocean view has some wires but is very nice and open. It's best for two people but three can fit.
Level 3 apartment has great ocean views and includes a kitchenette, king bed, twin bed, full bathroom, deck and private garden patio area. Windows and French doors open on each side creating an airy, beautiful and peaceful environment. On the ocean side, large glass French doors open onto a deck offering wonderful views of the ocean, village, and mountainous coastline. Another set of glass doors open onto a private garden with a table, chairs--and a private stairway off the garden leads to the rooftop patio.
Level 3 includes comfortable chairs for reading and relaxing. The small kitchenette is simple and ideal for those do not plan to cook a lot. It includes a refrigerator, microwave, sink, coffee pot, blender, pots/pans, cutlery, utensils, dishes, and hot plate. A wood armoire houses space for clothing. This level also has air conditioning and ceiling fans. Level 3 is ideal for those whose are very view-oriented, and is the closest unit to the rooftop patio.
The rooftop terrace has a breathtaking 360-degree view of the town, ocean, and surrounding mountains. Equipped with chaise lounges and a comfortable outdoor couch, it is ideal for sunbathing, reading, napping, and watching the sunset. While the Upper Levels 2 and 3 are private, this is a shared level. It is an outdoor communal space and we appreciate people pitching in to keep it tidy.
(To add Level 1 as an additional room, which is off the garden/cobblestone entrance area. is $50. Its dimensions are 18' by 10' and the ceiling is 6"10." )
Every level of the home has incredible views, but the rooftop is a favorite place to watch the sun rise, sip coffee, and listen to the town slowly waken. From our perch, we can watch whales migrate, hear the waves, see if the surf's up, and feel the pulse of Sayulita. In the evening, as the day slows, we drink margaritas, snack on tacos from the local stands, watch children play in the streets, and enjoy the sunset.
At night, you are minutes from Sayulita's vibrant night life where you can enjoy great restaurants and cafes, food stands that open only in the evenings and live music. And, every Monday is Salsa night at Don Pedros on the beach. It can be loudish (music) during the "high season" in the downtown area in the evenings/night. We find that closing windows, doors, and pulling curtains dims the noise -- but it is part of being in the center of town.
We keep our prices very reasonable for the quality and size of our house so that others can enjoy our wonderful location, home, and the fabulous village of Sayulita.
We hope you choose to stay at Casa Suerte (translated from Spanish: the House 'of' Luck). Welcome.

Casa Suerte was a perfect place to spend our time in Sayulita. We were able to walk to downtown in moments and the view was beautiful. The space is well thought out and we were able to choose between 3 outside areas to relax. Yes, it’s loud at night, but the white noise machine provided did the trick. Rene was very responsive when we had questions. The only thing folks should be aware of is the spiral staircase. There's no handrails, so if you have bad balance, or tend to get stumbling drunk, you probably shouldn’t do the 3rd floor. We highly recommend Casa Suerte.

Great location, so close to everything. If you are a light sleeper have earplugs for festival times and late parties. Great outdoor space, simple amenities.

Stayed awake and enjoyed our vacation. Location is excellent for dining and nightlife. Just a few blocks away from the beach. Really in the center of everything. Visited during New Year’s and some of the evenings were quite loud with music from the nearby nightclubs and bars. Other nights it was pleasantly silent. Really good communication with the property owner and their local manager.

Casa Suerte was perfect for us, central location close to everything. We enjoyed the AC, bed and sheets were great, rooftop terrace was awesome, great view. We cooked in several times, kitchen needs better cookware. A rack to hang wet things would be good too. Overall good.

Casa Suerte is walking distance to everything - just a block from the Main square. The noise was not an issue and the sunrise from the rooftop was spectacular.

We stayed here in March 2023. The location is excellent, steps from all the restaurants, 3 minutes to the beach and you can easily walk everywhere. It’s up a hill which wasn’t that bad to go up. We were on level 2, this level has a great outdoor space, a bit of an obstructed view but you can see the ocean and listen to the chickens next door lol! The roof top patio is a great space with better views. The house is not fancy but had everything we needed and the bed was super comfortable! It was awesome that it included water, laundry & beach towels. There was also beach umbrellas which was great, we just took an umbrella with us, you’ll pay 300 pesos per day to rent beach chairs with an umbrella so this was a huge savings! There is so many incredible restaurants nearby that we loved! If you need a 5* this is not your place, it was basic but clean, safe and was everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was one of the most unique places we’ve ever stayed! The views from both level 2 (where we stayed) and the rooftop were unbelievable. And the location is just unbeatable. My husband was able to surf check just carrying his coffee to the roof. It was clean, and very spacious for the 2 of us. I gave it 4 stars for accuracy of listing only because -and these are not necessarily bad things, just something one might like to know ahead of time. The bathroom is COMPLETELY outside. By this I mean you exit out of a side door, walk about 2-3 feet through an outside area to the shower and toilet. Not a super big deal, except if you are petrified of bugs and have to go out there in the middle of the night (which I am). So, if I had known this from the pictures or details I’m not sure if it would have changed my mind about this place versus another. This being said, only saw 1 very large bug and a gecko out there the whole time we were there (thank the heavens). The other notable thing is the spiral staircase is pretty narrow, so getting a longboard up to the 2nd floor was a little tricky. As for the noise, yep Sayulita is definitely a party town. But with the doors shut, the fans and my sound app it wasn’t bad at night at all. This place is definitely worth checking out!!

The title of the listing is North End. This apartment is not in the north end. The north end is across the river, and is a nicer area away from the noise of town, especially important during the feast of the virgin. This apartment was right in the center of town, extremely noisy ALL NIGHT LONG , smelled of mold and needs updating. We left after the first night, forfeiting our payment- couldn’t wait to get out of there.

A great property. The views of the ocean, mountains and town are wonderful. A few (steep!) steps from the town plaza. The beach was less than a 5-minute walk. Countless great places to eat close by. The rooftop terrace was another plus. I found the space very cozy, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I had a small issue with the ceiling fan and was amazed that it was solved the next day. The property manager Rene was quick (and cordial) to respond to any inquiries. Of course all of the locals were very friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

Very rustic, excellent location
There was some confusion upon check-in, but once it was straightened out the owner and manager were very responsive. The unit is in an awesome location, literally less than a one minute walk from Sayulita square, the heart of the town. Everything is within walking distance: Bars, restaurants, cafes, the beach. I didn't miss not having rented a car.
The place is extremely rustic, so be prepared for that. I'm not sure how it compares to other places. Hot water in the shower lasted about three minutes, but the bathroom is very unique. Also, no washer or dryer.
If you want an authentic Sayulita experience, I think this is a great unit for that. :)

Sayulita
We had a great visit. Having the downtown location was perfect for a first time visit to Sayulita.

Really fun!
Really fun! Pretty loud but to be expected over the holiday in a surf town. A perfect place for a family with two adult children. The kids stayed on level 2 and we took the small room over the garage. We all enjoyed the upper roof top terrace as well. The town is adorable and we also visited San Fransisco 3 miles away for a slower pace and smaller town.

Lovely place, great location and charming town
We had an amazing weekend. Host and property manager (Adrianne and Tony) were helpful and accommodating. The place was clean, beautiful and well decorated. Location unbelievable right in the middle of Sayulita. We love to be right next to good restaurants, bars, shopping, and the beach. However, having such a convenient location comes with some noise at night.
Sayulita is an authentic fun little town with friendly people. Looking forward to come back one day

Great Property!!Great Location!!
Arrived New Years Eve about 10:00pm the level 2 unit was clean and very spacious. We are a family of 2 adults and two big Teenagers. I did bring a queen size inflatable mattress so my boys would be equally comfortable. It is ideal for a couples getaway but definitely ok for a family as well. The owners are super and there communication is excellent. María the cleaning lady is really nice and does a great job of changing all The bedding sheets and cleaning up during the week. I will definitely rent again in the future. Also the location is right in the Heart of Sayulita just a few blocks from the Beach.

Great location & size of suite
The suite is well equipped and spacious (we stayed on the 3rd level). The view was lovely. John was a helpful host and Riley is the cutest, friendliest dog. It was nice to be able to park our car securely on site.

Love love loved Casa Suerte!
Best place to stay in Sayulita!
We loved staying at the beautiful Casa Suerte. We recommend hiring Antonio to pick you up at the airport. He is an awesome friend of John and Adrienne, the home owners. He took us grocery shopping, and to get some food before dropping us off. The house was completely ready when we arrived. We cooked everyday. The kitchen had everything we needed. Some special things we liked were the boogie boards, beach chairs, and even a cute hat that I wore all around town. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves for three of our nights. The roof top was a favorite! The view was amazing. So relaxing, and fun to be in a Mexican neighborhood. Adrienne’s tips for food, drinks, entertainment and adventures were spot on. We took her advice and went on some hikes, and visited the turtle sanctuary on the beach. Perfect location...close to town, and the beach. Adrienne was so helpful before, during and after our stay. We had never been to Mexico, so we had lots of questions. We were spoiled, not all VRBOs have that warm feeling of home like Casa Suerte. We will be back for sure!!! Thank you J and A(:

Charming spot, comfortable and close to everything
We loved our stay at Casa Suerte! It's a charming space in a great location, close to town and only a couple blocks from the beach. We stayed on the second level and found it very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was a wonderful asset and has all the amenities you need, including a blender (smoothies for the kids!) and a large fridge with a nice freezer to hold ice cream for a cold treat when back from the beach.
The second floor has a lovely outdoor area perfect for additional dining at the table outside or just lounging in the chairs, reading and taking in the beautiful view that Sayulita has to offer. There's a rooftop area that is open for everyone and was just perfect for an evening cocktail/morning coffee or an opportunity to relax at night while the kids were asleep.
Adrienne and John were so welcoming and accommodating, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and really taking the time to make sure we enjoyed our stay. There were beach chairs and an umbrella (and even a boogie board for the little ones!) that they graciously made available for our use. And while the town life does filter in, we didn't have any trouble with the noise in the evening as we found the double doors (when closed) blocked out most of the noise. The casa was easy to get in and out of and we had no problems at all during our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful visit - thank you so much Adrienne and John (and Riley!).

Wanted to Love
We wanted to love this place. At first glance, it's ideal. Large space, full kitchen, outdoor shower, 2 decks to use, 1/2 a block from town. And the owners are very nice and helpful.
But by the end of the 4 day stay, we were ready to go. The noise from town was pretty rough, music going until 2:00 - 3:00 am on weekend nights. The dogs and chickens in neighboring houses start making noise really early in the morning. There was also consistent loud banging noises from above on multiple days.
The door to the unit didn't lock well and could easily be pushed open even when "locked." On 2 different occasions, paint chips flew off the fan above the bed. After the maid came, the place smelled of chemicals and the entire floor was super wet and stayed very slick for days.

The property was clean, pretty and had everything we needed for a fantastic week. The bed was comfy.
I would reccomend this property if you dont mind wlking uphill and up stairs. We loved it as the view was spectacular.

Love this place!
I've stayed here twice and it has been great. The first time was by myself and the second time I brought my husband and daughter. The second floor casita is perfect for spreading out (spacious) and lounging around (lots of sitting options for reading and relaxing). We stayed in October and it was very hot. The AC provided great relief. The location of this place is perfect for accessing all the plaza's amenities (food, shopping, pharma, and entertainment) and the beach within just a few steps. At night, you can close the doors, turn on the AC, and shut out most of the bar noise. We loved spending the afternoons and evenings on the large deck with comfortable furniture and a view overlooking the town and the beach. The bathroom is in a quaint garden setting, the main bed comfortable, and the frequent cleaning service helpful.

Quality Accommodations, Close to Everything
Upon arrival, Adrienne was extremely welcoming with valuable local information and the offering of many in-house amenities. The location is very close to everything, yet slightly above it all for a view. Our accommodations on the second floor were spacious and tastefully appointed. We had a big kitchen that was dominated by a large counter that urged camaraderie and the outdoor dining and seating area gave us a beautiful view and a great feel for the true character of Sayulita in an open setting. Our bath area included an charming open tropical garden with fountain, but was still private where needed. The shared top floor is open air with comfortable seating and a partial view of the plaza and ocean. We always had it to ourselves. Thank you, Adrienne and John, for the perfect backdrop for lasting memories. My daughter and I feel very "lucky" we were able to find this treasure! --- Midge and Tiffan

Can't wait to return...
We love the property.. Better than we had hoped for.
Only downside was we were here during an almost 2 week long celebration, that lasted well into the wee mornings.
We will be back!...just not at this time 😁

Absolutely perfect.
Do yourself a favor and book this place RIGHT NOW. It's the best. Close to town but quiet and private, close to beaches as well. Great patios, awesome host, super clean and comfortable. Will Definitely book again if available next time we're in Sayulita which will hopefully be soon.

April 2017
Straight up, Casa Suerte is the perfect couple's getaway for hassle-free access to all of the town's hot spots (beach, central square, bars, clubs, shops, tours etc.) Travelers looking for a quieter stay should be aware that the location is right next to the hardest partying corner in town, so bring your earplugs! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay, and Casa Suerte delivered the goods, but the property could use a solid dose of TLC to sort out a few of the issues identified below.
Pros:
- amazing, large balcony with ocean views. Even better views from the shared upper floor balcony
- laundry included
- drinking water included
- well appointed suite with tasteful decor
- ac in suite
- super convenient location
- studio space is great for one couple
Cons:
- super loud location, local bars crank music well into the night
- the local rooster population likes to keep the party going after the bars shut down
- the queen bed is not very comfortable and needs a new mattress
- curtain coverage is insufficient, unit is quite bright once the sun comes up
- wifi is very inconsistent
- the front door lock system is a bit fiddly and could be streamlined
- while the outdoor bathroom is lovely, it does harbour a fairly healthy mosquito population
- with the sofa bed right beside the queen bed, additional guests/couples won't have privacy

This was the second time I stayed at casa suerte and I couldn't be happier. It is a beautiful house with three different levels of inside and outside living areas. All have amazing views of the ocean. The inside feels as if you are still living outside but private and romantic. The location is also amazing in that it is 3 minutes away from the town square. All in all, it was amazing experience and I would recommend it.

Great location and outstanding views. Very spacious and well equiped kitchen. This is a perfect location for enjoying all that Sayulita has to offer. We had a wonderful experience for two weeks.
