Beautiful view of the river. Conveniently located. Quaint & charming decor!

Confort, propriété, le lit
Il manque une bouilloire à thé ou machine à café, des aménités à salle de bain et la rue à coté est un peu bruyant pendant la journée.

We spent a nice stay in the hotel as we expected. The hotel is traditionally old, charming and historical. The room is big and very clean. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant: the meals were good and the staffs were very friendly. We like this hotel and expecting to come back again.

Great Hotel in a perfect location to the old town. The staff were excellent and very helpful, particularly as German is not our first language. The hotel was clean and the food was excellent.
Wish there had been fly screens on the windows. It was very hot and at night would have liked to have the windows open, because the mosquitoes were bad.

Hotel is on the Rhein, our window looked out on the water.
Facilities were excellent. Old bldg, but rooms and bathrooms were up todate. There was an elevator.
Dinner, at the hotel on the terrace next to the Rhein, was excellent.
Also within steps of main street in Stein am Rhein.
Parking was outside the walls, but just a couple minutes walking (wheeling suitcases).

Everything at the facility was fine. But it was unclear that was self check- in and I was confused, when I arrive at the facility no one spoke English. It was cleared up very quickly. Also there was no common sitting area to enjoy the facility and rest.

What a wonderful hotel, the interior is beautiful. The staff were all welcoming and we felt very comfortable.
We had to pay extra for our small dog, but always happy when we can take her with us.

lovely old hotel with character and right in middle of town
our room was by road and very noisy- as there is no air con needed window open or close it and over heat. Poor nights sleep. A chance at a good night sleep is a basic for a hotel. I

The breakfast was amazing!! (Especially the melon, super sweet!!) The staff were kind and helpful, the room and interior was fabulous!! And don't mention about the view from the room, facing straight to the river, absolutely fantastic!! I will definitely stay here again if I have a chance.

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Rheinfels. Our room was spacious and comfortable with old world charm, and a modern bathroom. Location is central with a view overlooking the Rhine. Bike storage is in a secure rear storage area in the hotel, accessible from a side road.
The only negative thing was the restaurant was closed on Wednesday night. This varies according to the season, the staff said that all booking sites note the restaurant closure but I couldn’t find this on Booking.com. The Rheinfels website does clearly state restaurant operation hours and this should be checked if eating in the hotel is important. The staff recommended a good restaurant in town.

vintage boutique hotel with a personal touch all over it.. staff always smiling and genuinely serving.. clearly a wonderfully family run business.. perfect location with a great River view... room was quite large.. retro feel from such as old style phone, all well functioning and very special.. overall the hotel was a great representation of the very special Stein em Rein town.. definitely exceeded our expectation..

We love this hotel. The location is great. Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is good.

location is stunning and restaurant and housekeeping staff are friendly.
rooms are clean and breakfast is fine.
Our room was extremely outdated. The heating did not work at all, lamp by the bedside was broken. Furthermore the bed unit contained a piece of furniture with a 60’s radio and a telephone that belongs in the 70’s and you get charged Chf 200 per night for this curiosa.
Please note that the hotel does not have a parking lot so you have to park your car on the other side of the road to bring your stuff in. You can use the public parking site of Stein Am Rhein who is very affordable (8 Chf per day) and a 5 minutes walk away.

Great Staff, great location, beautiful old building and the views of the river out our room windows was amazing.
Stein am Rhein is expensive, the price this hotel is comparitable to a bit more, but the room view and cleanliness make it worth an upgrade

We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Close in
Office was closed Wednesdays. No service. We used the code provided and it worked but another couple arrived from Malta at 6 PM and their code did not work. Several couples assisted them to contact off duty manager who admtted they had been given the wrong code. Morning breakfast was minimal. Check was curt, no thanks, office was a mess. You can’t run a nice hotel like this one.

The suite was so spacious and clean with a beautiful view on the Rhein. Personnel was very friendly and helpful.

Eating on the terrace feels like being on a riverboat, lovely and spacious room
nothing to complain
