Home away from home!

Breakfast ordered on the prior evening and delivered to our room on time. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean and well maintained. Onsite restaurant was outstanding and the staff were so friendly! We will absolutely be back!

Room was perfect. Food is top notch.

Check in was straight forward and management had plenty of time for chats about the local area. Couldn't ask for anything more. Some of the best chefs within the region work at the overlander.

I wouldn't change a thing. A great little stay.

loved the bright lighting. rooms are usually so dim

The reception. There was a car parked in the porte cochere at reception - but not a guest car. It was still there the next day, you have to walk around it to enter reception. We were not greeted in a welcoming manner. The person chided us for using booking.com. We were made to feel stupid. So we elected NOT to eat in your restaurant.

Good option for an overnight in Roma. Great restaurant.

Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. The onsite restaurant is amazing - great steaks.

Our neighbours had an early start and we discovered that the rooms are not very soundproof when they woke us up at 5am.

Friendly and helpful staff member met us on the day and assisted us with arranging a room allowing us to park our two cars and a trailer.

Ideal location, great restaurant and excellent room.

Location is on the main road but traffic noise does not interfere with the quality of the stay. Lovely quiet rooms, excellent restaurant and helpful staff.

Passable

I could hear everything (I mean everything) like when the person next door blew his nose, spoke in not even a loud voice, sprayed deodorant) it didn’t feel private at all. The snoring of the man in the room next door woke me up several times, it’s not his fault it’s just that the walls are so thin! Not a very peaceful stay.

Comfortable but a little outdated.

The bed was really comfortable and the bed linen was very good quality. Shower was lovely . The staff were very accommodating.

It is a little outdated but very comfortable still. The restaurant again the food was nice but very outdated furniture and all the flowers in the hanging pots are artificial which I found very unusual and unnecessary.

Delightful Decor & Atmosphere

We loved our stay at the Overlander Homestead Motel. The decor was so delightful and in keeping with a pioneering homestead atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. We especially enjoyed our dinner at the motel restaurant. The food was excellent and the service exceptional. We highly recommend this beautiful motel 🙂

Very enjoyable overnight stay, would have had no problems staying a few more nights and will definitely be back.

The homestead is lovely and the way it is set in the park sets it apart from your usual motel. The room decor is homely - all in all a very pleasant place to stay. And of course the fact that the restaurant attached to the motel is first class is also a plus.

dinner - steak were top quality and cooked exactly the way it was requested. The service was very good. The staff extremely friendly and efficient

the very loud noise coming from the water pipes when people in the adjacent rooms wre using the shower or flashing the toilet.

Staff rude and unprofessional

This is an edited review. Staff rude! I got a threatening phone call from the manager after I left an average review online. Instead of asking me what I disliked, I was threatened by saying he will google my name and leave false bad reviews of me online. I found his actions extremely unprofessional.
