The owner maintained great communication. The house was comfortable and provided for a relaxing getaway!

This property is nestled right on the Battenkill, which is exactly where we wanted to be. We bought tubes and tube down the river.
The house was plenty big for the four of us. It was stocked with everything we needed, Including laundry.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming home. As an old home, it had a lot of character. The art and decor complemented the home's quaintness.
The home was well-equipped and it was clear that Brigitte is a traveler herself as she provided many thoughtful tips and hints for guests.
The weather was uncharacteristically warm, which made the first floor a bit uncomfortable, but the MBR was fine with the AC.
The outdoor space was lovely, including the porch that overlooked the Battenkill. It truly is in the backyard, and our dog Molly learned how to swim, which was fun. Fishing was challenging but good in the early hours of the day before it became too warm.

We had a great stay at Brigitte's house! Location was great, house was clean and spacious, and the river was very scenic. Would love to come back some time!

We had a beautiful stay on the Battenkill with a stunning river and the coziest home base to explore the valley and the green mountains. Brigitte was extremely helpful and easy to connect to and joy to communicate with. We already wish we were back!

Brigette was wonderful to communicate with and the property is very comfortable and relaxing. Sitting by the fire or river is so rejuvenating. Tubing and kayaking on the Battenkill was so fun. Fishing from the property was also good! Thanks Brigette

We had a brilliant stay in this delightful VT farmhouse, which is completely up to date, and absolutely stunning. Super clean, fantastic decor, great and everything needed-in-kitchen, even a washer/dryer! Brigitte is quick to respond and delightful.
PS...great fishing and relaxing under the willows right on the Battenkill River...

Bridgette was a wonderful host, the house was very spacious for our family, very beautiful lush outside overlooking the BattenKill River, very private setting. We had a wonderful time and I would rent again.
Just a few things i would like to share, in summer its hot, it maybe helpful to have extra fans downstairs, the downstairs was hot, but we bought fans and it cooled it off nicely, also it would be helpful in the bathrooms to have toilet cleaner, for toilets, and some exta toiletries, toilet paper, shampoo ext. but those were very minor things,
Thank you Bridgette we had a wonderful time

We had a wonderful week in Southern Vermont.
Brigitte's house had plenty of space for our family of 4 and our dog.
The yard on the Battenkill river was amazing, we used the 2 kayaks all week. And even when the weather was not optimal, we stayed on the nice covered porch.
Brigite was very easy to work with.
Would definitely return.

This property is immersed in some of the most beautiful nature in the world with the legendary Battenkill river whishing through the back yard and singing you to sleep each night...!
We loved our long weekend, and Brigitte was gracious, informative, and always available. We're already planning our next visit to take up where we left off!

The house fit my family perfectly. It was a great experience. Manchester is a great town about 9 miles away with great restaurants. Skiing was not too far away either. Looks like a lot to do in summer there also.
Brigitte was great as well. Very cute home. We had a great time.

The house is an old, quaint home. We had a very relaxing time there. We did several hikes in The Equinox Preserve. Manchester is by the preserve, so we did stroll past the stores and outlets. The house's location is perfect.
Just a few little things- little like I said. There wasn't any shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. The TV in the sitting room (the only one) was only 32 inches. Definitely a shortcoming if you plan on watching TV.
We did cook while we were there. There are plenty of pots and pans, which was perfect. The nearest supermarket we found was Shaws, and thats about 5/6 miles away in Manchester. Nice supermarket.
All in all I would recommend this quaint home.
Also as a final note, Brigitte is wonderful to deal with. She said we could check in early- which we didn't, and check out later than 10am- which we did.
Thak you Brigitte!

We absolutely loved our Vermont stay in this beautiful house! Brigitte is an excellent host who communicated everything very thoroughly and makes you feel very welcome. The house was perfect for a cozy fall getaway with the family. The location is perfect, being right on the river and close to so many beautiful nature activities. We will definitely stay again! SO many wonderful family memories made at Brigitte's special place.

Even though this property was older, the antiques, paintings, colorful walls and a modern kitchen made our stay unique and enjoyable. Great nearby eateries and historical attractions in Manchester.
4.7
Great house and location. Great fishing in the back yard. Wake up at 5:30am and fish until breakfast! Wading and fly equipment is best. Some things to do in Arlington but also nearby. Lye Brook waterfall trail. Shaftsbury lake, Orvis, everything in Manchester. Relaxing zzzzzzzzzz
4.7
The house and surrounding environment are truly beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Lots to do: hiking, kayaking and swimming etc. The attractive town of Manchester is also close by. Brigitte was attentive to our needs and concerns.
4.7
Lovely property large enough to have quiet time away from family members and still enjoy river views.

Beauty on the Battenkill
The backyard is beautiful! Lots of grass that goes right to the river. There are chairs and tables to relax in and take in the beauty of the river. Fly fishing and floating on the river was spectacular. We enjoyed the local food and gift shops as well as trips into Manchester.

Quiet house in Arlington, VT
Stayed a few days over July 4th holiday. Easy check in, no issues. It’s an older house in a really small town. Close to Manchester which has plenty of shopping, restaurants, etc. Nice location on battenkill river. It is right next to a somewhat busy road, but not overly noisy. Kitchen was a little under stocked. Would be nice to have a few staples available (cooking oil, sugar, etc). Plenty of dishes and silverware. Easy checkout.

Excellent property
The location of the house is amazing! The property owner was very responsive to text messages and provided a wealth of information about the local area and contacts ahead of our stay. This was an excellent VRBO for our family's vacation.

This was a very nice old farm house with old antique pieces around the house. It has all you need! It is very close to a busy street but we were away from it as the doors and porches are all in the back of the house. The yard and river are very private despite the road where a bridge runs over the river near the front of the house. Right across there is a dog park, swimming hole, gold, baseball park, tennis court, and walking trail. There are many benches throughout the park. We brought tubes but the current took us down so far we stopped and walked the land back because we didn't know how far until there was a spot to get out. I'm sure if we went further there would be a spt near a road to get out. We brought out 2 large dogs as well! But we had them on long leads to swim and play because they will try to cross the street otherwise. They had so much fun! There is a fire pit but bring your own wood. In the master bedroom you can keep the deck door open with screen closed to hear the river while sleeping. We grilled our own food we brought, and made our own breakfast. We went to the West Mountain Inn for Wednesday music and all you can eat pizza and salad outdoors, and the Arlington Inn which was great but small portions for the price. Dairy bar has ice cream and food as well but also expensive. We bought our ice cream at the Stewarts which is also very close Lovely stay overall!!

We loved this place!
My wife and I had a fabulous stay in Arlington at Brigitte's place. Her house is beautiful with all all kinds of curious items big and small. All of the little touches that she's added to the house are simply magnificent. There are conversation pieces everywhere including a rooster watering can, red lit art deco metal flowers, marvelous paintings on the walls, live plants, books galore, artsy rugs, a grand old organ, and much more. And it's right on the river!
One thing we appreciated about Brigitte was that she seemed to be invested in us enjoying her place. Unlike my previous rather anonymous dealings with owners, she was personal, even calling me the phone before I left to tell me about all the options for things to do. The most telling thing is that she called me while we were there to tell me that a snowstorm was forecast for the area right before, and during, the time we had planned to leave. She offered to let us stay an extra day for free because she didn't think it was wise to drive through a storm. She also said that it would be fun to be stuck there on a snowy day. She was so right about that!

I had a wonderful time at this house with my wife and infant son. The location is incredible, with views of the Battenkill River, a short walk into Arlington and a short drive to Manchester. The house was decorated in a pleasing and interesting way, with a mix of antique and mid century modern styles and some nice art. We loved the wood burning stove and the master bed and bedroom were large and comfortable. My only gripe was the lack of hot water - 10-15 minute showers max - but the host made that very clear upfront.
