The location was in an excellent location and had character. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was very comfortable, had an excellent shower and there were excellent downstairs sitting room/bar/restaurant areas
Our room was very small and hot, being at the top of the hotel (even with the fan on and he window kept open all night. The window was small to appreciate the sea view- which was more like a roof-view with a bit of sea. Had we realised this we would not have bothered with the sea view and would have gone for the larger room which was available.
Also on the booking.com site it said that the double bed was large, but it was very standard sized double.
The breakfast was nice but there were no extras to warrant it’s £15 price.

We did not have the breakfast
The rooms on the top floor required us to walk up several flights of stairs with the last flight restricted by the shape of the roof. We are fit but 70 years old. We had to carry our bags up to the room, no hotel staff offered to help. The room was consistently too hot, even leaving the window open all day did not seem to help, but it did allow a bird to enter our room and "leave a message" on my trousers. The bathroom fan did not work

The room & facilities & staff & food were all perfect and we will be back. The best suite has a lovely view & a great veranda.
Nothing negative though hotel pricing was on the high side

The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive, the dining room was great, comfortable and with stunning sea views. The bed was very comfortable, the room was warm, the en-suite bathroom was cleaned every day and fresh linen provided daily. Tea and coffee supplied in the room. We ended each day in the very comfortable bar where the service was excellent.

Really lovely stylish hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Also fabulous cocktails!
My only very tiny issue was no lift to my floor, but once I’d done it a few times it was fine!

loved it
double bed too small for two people

Soup and bread was really good
Fish dish on dinner was poor quality and very expensive. Fish was boiled in old stinky oil.
Booked dinner on arrival but we was not on the list at the time when we come to eat.
No lift for passengers to higher floors.
Glass window in the room was broken.
No car park spaces.
Overall, hotel is old and "very traditional". Need modernisation. The owners overslept last 50 years.

The stylish renovation of the building really blew me away. Everything in the room and in the building outside was tastefully selected and very well maintained - from chairs to door handles. Great work!

Good location and sea view, clean room, bed comfy. Staff pleasant.
Door handle came off, soap dispenser came off the wall too. Room very small, retro style lighting created a very dark bathroom. Could not see to shave. Extractor fan not working in bathroom. Excessive water softener means a 4 minute shower takes 15 mins using gallons more hot water to get the soap off. Also a long corded light almost on my head in the bed needs shortening. I received 6 emails after booking telling me about the hotel, one point stated breakfast was from 7.30 am or earlier if requested. I requested a 7.00 am breakfast only to be told 7.45 am was the earliest. So I had 2 days with no breakfast. Not impressed. Breakfast staff I saw were smoking in the gardens outside. Not a great image of the place.

Lovely friendly welcome and a lovely decorated hotel. It has a great feel and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying.
We stayed in the roof/loft room which was very hot but luckily the room had a large Dyson fan which we definitely needed to sleep.

Lovely property. Clean, comfy room. Definitely the best hotel in Ramsgate. Good views and location. Good food. Staff were friendly and helpful overall. Complimentary tea, coffee and water. I would recommend.
Room was extremely hot and the door didn't lock from the inside. In the restaurant they had run out of what I ordered at breakfast and served me something different in the hopes I wouldn't notice and didn't knock anything off the bill when I raised it.

Loved the character of the place and wonderful views from our room.
Everything was beautifully clean and the decor was wonderful.
Food was excellent quality. Large portions so my husband had to help me eat it not that he minded.
Would definitely stay again when coming to visit family.
Staff helpful and smiley.
Arrived earlier than thought but our room was ready.
Everything was as described but if we had of been staying for longer would have needed more accessible sockets as in one to plug hairdryer in near sitted table mirror.
