Great overall

Pods provided privacy and rooms were fairly large. Kitchen has lots of utensils and nice view of Queenstown’s mountains. About 5 mins walk into the city.

Only about 5 showers for the whole hostel but never had to wait too long. Parking was veeeeery tight and limited

Best central location to town & buses! Great value!

Ricky at the front desk was extremely helpful. He recognized that I am a senior and offered to carry my suitcase to the top floor. He was also helpful in answering my questions about hikes in the area. This facility is convenient to the bus stop from Christchurch, bus stop to the airport and centrally located to all the shops & restaurants in town as well. Can’t beat the location!! As a hostel it was a nice bonus to have bath towels. 3 kitchen sinks and multiple cooktops so never too crowded.

Better cleaning of bathroom sink & shower rings around the drains. Roommate talking on the phone in her pod for a long time. It’s shared space!!

Bad and sheets were super comfy A lot of places to sit and relax , including balcony to sunset

You cannot lock the room door from inside - so someone with a key can open while you're in The bathroom/ shower facilities were lacking : no toilet paper in some / no soap in some / clogged shower No room to put your shower products Many steps , and high , to room

Good sleeping pods and toilet/shower

location was pretty good, slightly away from the town centre from all the noise but still within a walkable distance. pods and lockers were allocated, they were clean and provided privacy. loving the toilets, super clean and comfortable to use.

kitchen and luggage room were upstairs from the ground floor but no complaints. it has what I needed for a night’s stay

there was a long wooden panel for putting stuff just in front of the double bed next to the pillow. it was dangerous and my child bumped her head on the wooden panel when she tried to sleep on the pillow. She had a large lump/bruise after that and cried for quite some time.

Good location.

Changed the after hours check in time with barely any notice which mucked up my plans entirely. In need of lots of maintenance and generally worn down (spiderwebs all over the emergency exit signs and exteriors of windows).

Great place! So much better than other hostels I've swwn in Queenstown.

Two minor problems: The water temperature in the shower wasn't stable, and there wasn't enough air flow in the room since the windows could open just a little bit.

Great stay, the only hostel room I'd ever stay in QT

Shout out to the girl on reception she was super nice, very helpful and had great customer service! Not many hostels have that. Location was great (close to bus from the airport, supermarket and town centre). I really loved the penthouse apartment (will definitely come back and stay again). Pods were awesome, balcony was the best thing about the room, having the small kitchen was really good as well, bathrooms were next door to the room, now and then I had to wait for the larger bathroom but it was never to long. There was free parking and towels were provided. Communal areas were nice but didn't use them on this stay.

Nothing. You just have to hope you have nice considerate people sharing your room or it will take away from the experience.

great concept

the pod was great! the mattress was comfortable and I liked the fact I had a curtain and could use my light without disturbing anybody. location was excellent, and it was really clean.

The shower has almost no pressure, and switched to cold water randomly. I came out of it colder than I was to start with. I would have given the hostel an excellent rating of it wasn’t for the shower.

Lovely place for a short stay in Queenstown

I stayed in the pods, which are super comfortable and quiet. The kitchen has everything one needs to make food and drinks, there is a comfy space to chill out both outside and inside the hostel, with a spectacular view. Super easy 2 min walk from the main bus stop in Queenstown (from the airport).

Great location and comfort

Location is excellent, close to city. Kitchen and facilities were great. Staff extremely helpful and responsive. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. Price is also very affordable.

The shower pressure is very bad, to the point it only trickles a little water each time. The heatpump in the penthouse was also a bit noisy - the staff looked into getting someone to look at it though, it wasn't their fault the repairman wasn't available to fix it before we checked-out

good value for money in a great spot. higher end of the backpackers for sure

great location, bed was comfortable and good privacy when sleeping

shower would go cold and hot all the time and was super messy, pillows were super uncomfortable and gave me a sore neck

Pods were super comfy + the location was great! They also provide extra storage for anything oversized (e.g. skis/snowboards etc) . I'm not sure if it's the same with the other dorm rooms, but mine had a bathroom in it which was really nice.

I don't think COVID protocols were really being followed. My friends had someone from their dorm room test positive for COVID and so they (my friends) ended up sleeping in the lounge room for the night. The COVID positive person was in + out of the dorm using the shared bathroom facilities and I don't think other people staying at the hostel were informed of this.

Very good

The curtains around the pod gave plenty of privacy when the curtain was closed, and good amount of secured storage in the room. Well planned out with power and USB points for each person as well
