Location
We did not meet the host or anyone else at your stay. . Breakfast: a croissant and a toast wraped in plastic in our room by arrival.

In the heart of the historic center. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. Very quiet street. Rooms were quiet and comfortable with modern bathrooms. Quaint historic building with modern upgrades.
The highlight though was how kind and helpful Angelo was. We arrived on the night of a festival and literally could not drive to the hotel because the streets were blocked. We were traveling with my 91 year old mother and my brother who is in a wheelchair and can only walk short distances. We were there to visit our family in Isernia. It seemed like it would be impossible to reach the hotel for them. Angelo went and spoke with the local polizia who allowed us to drive right to the door and drop everyone off and then park very nearby. He went above and beyond and was wonderfully accommodating in all ways.
Parking can be difficult if you are new to the town and are not aware of places to park. Would suggest that breakfast be a voucher for one of the many nearby cafes rather than coffee in the room and pre-packaged sweet.

Terrific room, plenty of space and we had a deck to sit out on in the afternoon.
We had a bit of a problem with the shower hose which meant the shower head didn't function properly

Great location, situated in the ancient part of the city of Isernia. I recomand this hotel, it is warm, tipic Italian style, the owner is friendly.

Room decor was lovely - modern and clean. The room was spacious. The ensuite was clean and decorated to a high standard. The reception area and stairs leading to the rooms are very cosy and the lighting creates a warm, luxurious feel.
Breakfast was brought to us from a bar and was very nice.
The B&B is located in the heart of the old town
There was water in the fridge but we weren't told it was included until the following morning and it turned out to be fizzy water which wasn't to my taste.
We were told that breakfast was either at 8 or 8.30 (we would have prefered a later option) so at 8.30 we dragged ourselves out of bed and waited downstairs but the breakfast that we had had to choose the night before didn't arrive for another 20 minutes. It would have been better to give us a voucher to get our own breakfast from the same bar that way we could have gone when we wanted to.
The bed and pillow were not the most comfortable.

Host Angelo was helpful. Portacastello is centrally located in the centro storico, with good restaurants within short walking distance.
A suggestion for Angelo to provide a simple map to guests prior to arrival, on where to park and walking direction/path to Portacastello. This will be very useful especially for guests with larger luggages.

Well situated in the Cento Storico, Nicely converted old townhouse. Very convenient for an overnight stay breaking our journey and seeing a little of Isernia.
The bar where breakfast is provided was extremely noisy and breakfast was minimal - one cornetto and a cappuccino. Maybe best to let clients arrange their own breakfast.

The location was fabulous in the old town.
It was a beautiful building and a nicely renovated room with lovely decor and ambience. The room was very clean.
There was a bulb missing from one of the lights so it was a little dark.
For us, easier access to car-parking would have been good but we understand this is difficult in the old town.
The mattress on the bed was a little soft (again that is personal taste).
