We stayed in Chetwynd Villa 4 - for 2 nights. Well equipped kitchen, lots of little extra touches and comfortable bed.
We had excellent 4G mobile phone reception (Telstra).
Beautiful rural surroundings (enjoy the serenity).
Judith was helpful with a suggestion on a place to dine.
Overlooking vineyard 😊

The cottages are set far apart. The fireplace was stocked with firewood. The bedrooms were basic but comfortable.
The tank water had a distinct and unpleasant odour, as if something had died in the tank. Perhaps it was safe to drink, but we bought bottled water instead because drinking the water would have been disgusting. Showering was awful. We couldn't wait to leave and get the smell off us. We reported the issue but they didn't address it during our stay. Maybe we were unlucky with timing, but anyone staying here should be warned.

Finding the property and the cabin was easy; the key was left in a lock box, which was a secure and straightforward system. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything you need for an easy and enjoyable stay. Inside, the place was impeccably clean. The quality of the bed linen and towels was fantastic. The cabins are all strategically placed throughout the property and surrounded by small trees and shrubs, which adds to the sense of privacy. It was very quiet, peaceful.
A bit of a heads-up on the bad conditions of the road would have been good (we have a 4WD but not everybody does). The design of the lock box is very poor (probably just old). You need tiny and well-synchronised fingers to open the box. Not suitable for everybody.
Although the cabin was clean inside, it was unattended outside, to say the least: neither the outside ashtray nor the wheely bin had been emptied; the latter had been opened by creatures and there was garbage spread all over the garden - very unpleasant.
We expected to have a bottle of wine upon arrival, as advertised; even after texting the host, we didn't get one. We also asked about Wi-Fi and they said they don't offer it; you might want to check your advertising on Booking.com then because there were a lot of things advertised that weren't there (coffee machine, dishwasher, wi-fi). Not that we needed any of this, but it is misleading. And it even says there is no parking!
Also disappointing was the fact that there is a fireplace in the cabin and firewood is provided as well as a small jar with firestarters. There was only one left. We asked for more and they claimed they don't restock until the end of the long weekend. I guess we were lucky the soap was restocked.
The amount of content in the emails received and the number of emails received before our trip was overwhelming. We were already receiving a lot from Booking.com. Maybe a good idea to review this.
Despite our lovely time, these little things made us feel like we spent a small fortune for too many little disappointments.

No breakfast was provided
The grass surrounding the entrance was not cut short enough

So quiet, private (the landscaping made you feel like you were far away from the other villas), cozy, easy and faceless check in
Furnishing were a little older, but I think it added to the vibe of the villa, dirt local road surrounding accommodation (still suitable for smaller vehicles, but it was dry when we drove it)

location was good
staying in a very hot day and a/c was not on when we arrived and the mezzanine bedroom was like a sauna.
tap water was warm and cold water bottle in fridge was frozen and cracked so couldn’t get a cool drink.
even the milk provided was curdled.

Bracken Ridge villas is in a lovely quiet location close to all of the northern Hunter Valley wineries etc. The cottages are well spaced out and very comfortable with all you need, including a good kitchen etc if you wish to cater yourself. There were beds both upstairs in the loft and downstairs. The shower pressure was very good and hot. There is a small amount of unsealed road from Heritage Road, but we also chose to access the property from the Wine Country Drive side, which is less sealed but no problems and quicker to some locations. Judith was excellent to deal with and thanks to Judith and Chris for the lovely wine!

We didn't have breakfast included, so can't comment. The location was a bit out of the way, but also made it quite peaceful. Really enjoyed the tranquility
Wasn't really anything that I didn't like. Certainly met my expectations and the hosts were wonderful to deal with. Maybe the distance to venues.
