Zwischenstopp in ruhiger Lage

Dieses Hotel diente als Zwischenstopp auf einer Mehrtageswanderung zwischen Osterode und Thale. Der Biergarten ist nett, wenn auch direkt an der Straße gelegen (mit Motorradlärm). Das Essen im Restaurant war gut. Grundsätzlich hilft der Mindset, sich diese Unterkunft eher als Analogon zu einer Berghütte vorzustellen, bzgl. sanitären Einrichtungen etc.

Die sanitären Einrichtungen gibt es auf dem Gang nur ein Mal pro Seite (die Zimmer selbst haben keine), das heißt, man teilt sie sich mit vielen Personen, dafür gibt es dann aber nur eine Toilette (man kann die Treppe herunterlaufen zu den Restauranttoiletten). Seife etc. war leider leer. Auch das Zimmer war nicht gut gereinigt.

Eine Übernachtung war auszuhalten

Viel Natur drumherum.

Das Personal (3 Leute) war maßlos überfordert. Ein Abendessen hätte mindestens 2h auf sich warten lassen, sodass wir in einen anderen Ort fahren mussten. Für die Zimmerpreise wäre eine schönere Ausstattung und mehr Komfort wünschenswert. (Beim Lattenrost waren einige Latten nicht dort, wo sie sein sollten, die Matratzen waren ziemlich dünn, Bettlaken schmutzig, Zimmer hat unangenehm gerochen).

Für die Durchreise perfekt

Wir waren auf einer Wanderung und sind dienstags dort eingetroffen, eigentlich war an diesem Tag ein Ruhetag und somit war das Restaurant geschlossen, der Chef hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns alles erklärt und hat uns dann sogar trotzdem noch etwas zu essen gezaubert, ganz lieben Dank dafür! Wir waren auch die einzigen Gäste an diesem Tag! Im ganzen Ort gab es auch keine Möglichkeit etwas zu essen zu bekommen! Wir hatten unsere Ruhe, haben sehr gut geschlafen und sind dann sehr früh weiter gewandert! Alles in allem war es sehr gut für die Durchreise!

Für ein Mal war es OK.

Die Lage war sehr gut.

Das Frühstück war nicht besonders umfangreich, auf Nachfrage gab es dann aber Nachschub. Der Hausherr sollte seine Gäste beim Frühstück begrüßen. Der Hausmeister half uns beim Einchecken nicht besonders… Er wusste nichts über unsere Buchung. Mit ein wenig Hilfe kamen wir dann doch zu unserem Zimmer.

Very good

Nice location, enough parking availability and only few minutes to train station and bus stop. Very friendly people. Excellent breakfast, restaurant in the evening was also good. Room and bathroom were spacious enough and very clean. Price vs quality was good.

Very good

We stayed for one night in the room without bathroom. Everything was good and owner agreed for the late checkin, thanks very much. Bathroom outside the room was pretty clean, but I didn't use it. Tempreture was easily controlled. The place is located near small river, it is rathe beatiful.

Maybe the pillow can be a little bit bigger.

Unexpected extra fees :(

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The location is absolutely beautiful, very quiet, and peaceful! Free parking; Nice breakfast.

A bit of a creepy atmosphere, uncomfy beds. Extra charges that were not disclosed on booking: city tax and pet fee. We chose this place explicitly because of the price + 'pets allowed for free' option. Both ended up being false info, unfortunately. After booking, we received an email that said that we will need to pay a city tax on top of the price (even though city tax is always shown on Booking in case it's not included in the final price). It was also acknowledged in the email that there will be a dog with us and no extra charges for that were applied. When we arrived, we were told we need to pay 5 eur for the dog. All in all we paid 10 euros extra for the night that might be not so much for some, but for 10 eur extra we would've just booked another place.

Quiet and beautiful nature

Nice breakfast room, well lit and well taken care of, basic but enough choice and vegetables, muesli etc The staff were very forthcoming. Quiet location, surrounded by nature, the road is not very busy and the windows block out any noise, I got a good sleep.

Later check-in or self check-in would have been practical, as I like to plan looooong hikes and sunset hikes in the summer. A hair dryer would have been nice.

- Awesome friendly staff 👳 - I could check in one hour early ⌚ - The room was nice 🛏️ - Good breakfast 🍳

- There was no soap/shampoo/shower gel in the shared bathroom 🧼 - Lack of nuts/seeds at breakfast 🥜

Very good

Staff really friendly. Lovely location next to the forest. Despite being directly at a road, it's very quiet at night. Nice breakfast.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable. A new matress would help
