A pleasant stay despite small nuisances.

Confortable and pleasant, clean and spacious room with good beds and modern practical bathroom, and a nice spa area.

It was difficult to find the swimming pool in a maze of confusing signs and a labyrinth of corridors. The electric car chargers next and below the room are a source of continuous noise and nuisance; these should have been placed away from all rooms. All evening there were in our room frequent and very annoying loud noises coming from the corridor or neighbouring rooms.

Very good breakfast.

Got a little bit dissapointed, to be honest. The rooms were more worn than the pictures showed, the walls were paper thin, and the quilt was meant for cold winter though it was july. The wifi didn’t work and the tv didn’t work. Additionally the ventilation in one of our rooms was also u/s, and the cieling window didn’t open. All this, and we still had to pay full price. 😕

Great stay, wonderful staff

The old building is full of character. My room in this building was at the top floor. Nice room, with good beds. The room was also quite spacious. TV didn’t work but I was only staying for one night, so not really a problem. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Good breakfast.

Nine euros for parking per night is a bit stiff.

If we would come again to the area, we would use this hotel again.

The breakfast was first class with freshly baked bread and croissants. The room was very good and so was the food in the evenings. The staff was very friendly and most of them spoke very good English.

We thought that 9 euros per day for parking was a bit much.

Good

- The room was clean. - The spa was in good order and I liked that there were lockers and plenty of towels available. - The building itself was pretty and well-maintained. - Both the check-in and the check-out were very fast.

- My room was tucked away in the property which meant I had to go through several halls and flights of stairs to get in and out. - The staff had quite a loud conversation outside my door in the morning. - The bed and the duvet were on the small side (iḿ about 180cm).

Okay, but old-fashioned and outdated.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of bread and fruit, juices and cereals.

Our room was quite clean, but really dated...(carpet, furniture). The bathroom definetely needs a renovation. It was really old. Probably from the 1980s. Our sink and shower had cracks, which looked not very nice and seemed dirty and are a home for bacteria. I didn't feel comfortable in there. I don't think that the room was worth the price (standard double room € 179,- breakfast included). Breakfast was good, but it was very crowded in the restaurant at first. After a while, they were running out of (e.g.) smoked salmon, jelly and cups for the coffee-maker. Most of the staff were kind of friendly, but at 10:30 we were rushed to finish breakfast "because of lunch time". Well....

the old house was not available and they offered a room in the new house. good beds

selected this hotel because of having great food. unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked 🥲 so had to find another restaurant (which aren’t in the area)

First our room was dirty and their came voice from the party and it troubled our sleeping BUT staff was lovely and changed our room immidiately to much better one, so many thanks!❤️

Good value for the money - a true full 4 * hotel with Spa, good kitchen chef, very friendly staff !

Spa area is very nice. Did not miss anything downstairs in the Spa area. The restaurant and breakfast selections: Excellent. Very service minded and very friendly staff ensured a utmost comfortable stay for me. For sure I shall return to this hotel "Birke" !

Flatscreen TV in the room could not be turned in an angle of 90 degrees on the wall mounting. So while lying on the bed, you did not have the full dimension of the flatscreen to look at. But other than that, truly NOTHING to complain about !

Very good sleep experience, nice pillows, separate types to choose from! Breakfast served as room-service for a very small upcharge, a must! Staff very friendly, caring and forthcoming!

Disappointingly small desk area. Unacceptable shower dimensions - no way to avoid leaning on or touching the shower walls, sliding door hard to close shut.

Very good

I stayed here only one night without any wellness facilities. Everything was clean and perfect. Stuff did job very professional. Good and quite area.

Sad that guest have to pay for car parking extra. There is not centre of old city where in no space for parking and existing inner yard was mostly free.
