The staffs ( actually the owner ) are very nice, even I only booked a family room, however, with seeing we three ppl sharing two beds , he offered us one more lovely room proactively without extra charge when we arrived, it is a modern and minimalistic room designed by the owner himself. It is clean and quite that u could hear the voice of the raindrops and chirping, try to imagine that u live inside the Grand Canyon( we actually are coz the hostel is actually inside the Canyon) that u will understand the feelings . Knowing us don’t really eat heavy and spicy food , he made the special Cantonese foods for us during our stay, he drops us off at the tourist area when we leave , when we got lost after visiting the Grand Canyons, he picked us up as well , even gave us the ganoderma as a gift when we leave , in all , a very nice and thoughtful owner
We visited there in off season which means rare visitors, even the bathroom looks very clean but when the floor met the water , I saw the dirt there , the clothes hanger, the desks and chairs outside the balcony are kinda full of dirts, u need a bit time to adjust the water temperature when showering, those are not a big deal but if they could make it better, that would be perfect

Comfortable bed (big deal in China!), clean, quiet, nice views, hot water. Staff are friendly. 5 minutes drive from park entrance, owner kindly gave us a lift down in the morning. Number of places to eat around but we ate here both nights as it was good, homecooked food, well priced & decent portions.
The shower drain was blocked & we had to get a mop to mop the floor to stop water pooling out into the bedroom. However, we'd recommend & would happily return to this place if we were at Enshi canyon again.

The owner arranged a very late pick up from the city to their facility, app 60km away at a short notice and very reasonable price. he offered individualized tour to another location for us to see another major touristic destination as well as drove us back to city, all very reasonable prices and plenty of personal effort from his side.
the room heating was not sufficient due to climate so we had to run warm air condition all day.

Enshi Grand Canyon area has one street along which there are many guesthouses. The owner of hotel and his family are very nice people. They sincerely tried to help in every aspect of my stay there. They gave me a lift to Canyon entrance and picked me up there in the evening. They cooked breakfast and dinner for me and even made the food I liked and asked for. The room was spacious and clean, they have a big bathroom with white fluffy towels. AC heater came in really handy in cold rainy wheather and they helped to dry my clothes after the rain. Check-in was super quick as well as check out. They gave advice as to where to go and how much time the trek takes. I will definitely stay here again and advise this place to my friends.
Everything was good!

Excellent service by Ah Lun and his family :) the food cooked was delicious. He was extremely meticulous, attentive and warm. The views from his place was lovely as well.
The water pressure of the shower, and how rooms were still cold in spite of heating.

On arrival at Chunlun Farmstay, I was surprised to find that a) it wasn't a farm, and b) it wasn't in the middle of the countryside; I actually thought I had the wrong place. The hotel is actually in the small (by Chinese standards) village of Mufu, which is directly across from Enshi Grand Canyon, giving lovely views from the terrace and balcony. Don't be put off by this; the family that run this great little hotel will wrap you up in an invisible comfort blanket that makes it very difficult to leave. They love to eat here and will make sure that you don't go hungry, whatever the time! The food is simple but very delicious; I don't eat red meat but they were very accommodating; nothing was too much trouble. Only Chinese is spoken, although the daughter and niece speak a smattering of English. As the village has limited transport options to the big tourist sites, the 'laoban' or boss offered to take me everywhere I needed to go, not charging a fee to the closer sites.
The hotel itself seems quite new, with large, very comfortable beds, and good sized bathrooms complete with mirror lighting! Always a complaint of mine, it was surprising to find it here of all places! The showers had a good supply of hot water and the towels were big and fluffy. All rooms come with a flat screen TV, although it might be wise to take your own supply of movies on a USB as most viewing is Chinese only. Hardly a problem because most nights you will find yourself sitting on the terrace til late with the family and other guests.
All in all there isn't much to complain about with Chunlun Farmstay. If you are looking for a real slice of China life you are sure to find it here, and like me you probably won't want to leave.
The only small problem for me was the sometimes heavy traffic outside; although living in China I am somewhat used to it now. If you are a shopper, then this is not the place for you - it was a 30 minute walk to the nearest convenience store. Then again, if you are not up for walking, then Enshi Grand Canyon is most certainly NOT the place for you anyway.
