About this cabin rental
Get away from it all and relax in our peaceful mountain retreat - complete with outdoor sauna, home cinema and a large private deck with mountain views and BBQ, plus a tree house, play equipment and trampoline for the kids. There’s something for everyone in our cozy rustic log cabin.
With stylish Scandinavian mid century furniture and a vintage audiophile sound system, you can unwind by the roaring open fire - your ‘hygge’ / cozy-contentment levels will be well and truly met! Quite deliberately, we don’t have a television at the cabin, however with unlimited high speed internet you can stream to your heart’s content - bring your own blu rays for the movie screen, or use our complimentary Netflix account. We also have a well stocked cupboard full of board games.
You can take your mountain relaxation to another level - the cabin has a traditional Finnish sauna! With proven wellness properties, there’s nothing more rejuvenating than sitting in the fresh air after a sauna. Towels provided for Sauna are placed in a bin in the changing room next to the sauna, also there are robes provided.
Set back off the road, the cabin is secluded and private. However, in just 5 minutes walk you can be in the charming Pine Mountain Club village, with its restaurants and shops.
At 6000 ft, Pine Mountain Club is a beautiful mountain community nestled at the base of Mt. Pinos and surrounded by the Los Padres National Forest. Home to the rare Californian Condor and Southern California’s clearest night skies, with fresh pine scented mountain air - it’s hard to believe you are 90 mins drive from downtown Los Angeles. But best of all the Pine Mountain Clubhouse has a swimming pool, golf course, games room, bar and cafe - all of which you can access with our guest pass.
Within 20 minutes from the cabin, you can be atop Mt. Pinos - a mountain paradise in summer and winter wonderland in winter with a manned Nordic ski base. If you want snow play, there’s no better place. Although, we do know a few other secret spots ; )
(and we do have a sled you can use under the deck).
Everything is included in your stay, just bring your own groceries. We hope to see you soon at the Maplewood Cabin.

Nice Little Cabin in a Beautiful Location, Great for Families or Couples for a quiet getaway. Located to the little Pine Mountain Club town and includes access to a community pool. The place is clean and has everything you need for a relaxing trip including a place for kids to play on a trampoline, a cute treehouse, even some toys and board games provided. Very fast internet, sauna, and the most amazing night sky keeps the parents happy. The host is very responsive and willing to help with any questions.

We were looking for a peaceful mountain cabin and that’s what we got. The views are beautiful and we weren’t expecting to be so entertained by the wildlife. Can’t wait to come back and experience a different season.

We loved the house, the veranda and the whole equipent there. A few little things are a bit outdated but that doesn't bother me at all. The surroundings are fantastic and the house was well equipped! We loved to stay here.

Everything was great until it wasn't . A bear broke thru the bedroom window last night. Not fun after that .

We wanted a last minute getaway and this cabin was perfect for that. It was cozy and within a 5 minute (maybe less) walk to the grocery store, restaurants and bakeries.
Chris, the property manager, was so nice and very quick to respond when corresponding.
If you have kids, the closet is full of toys and books. And there are baked games for all ages as well. There’s a tree house, bridge and monkey bars, too.
The back patio was spacious and we were able to easily block access to the stairs so we could hang out and actually relax while our son played on the patio.
We can’t wait to come back again.

We had a wondering time at the property. We brought out three kids (9, 7, and 2) and two large dogs (golden and lab) and every single one of us had a great time. The cabin is full of toddler toys and countless board games that entertain our elementary school kids and toddler the whole time. The tree house and trampoline are amazing for kids so they had a great time just playing in the backyard and enjoyed the woods. The location is closed by the many hikes where our dogs can run freely without bothering to other people. The host is also amazing and very accommodating and attentive to our change of reservation time. We will definitely come back.

We loved this place and hope to return. It was the perfect size and set up for our family of four. Lots for the littles to do, and we enjoyed movie night on the projector. There was great communication regarding our stay and some winter weather advisories. In the end we had a great time and made it up the mountain to play in the snow too.

We loved our stay at this cabin. We went while
It was snowing. Chris the property manager was very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed the kids tree house, cinema, board games, and sauna. The location was great. It was easy to walk into town even in the snow and with two little kids. We would stay here again.

This place is perfect for a couple or small family who want to get away to the mountains for a while. The kitchen is well equipped, the short walk to the village is great, and the bets are cozy and comfy. The hosts are friendly and attentive and we loved our time here.

Overall it was a very cozy and nice cabin. Certain things including the bathroom and kitchen could have been cleaner (very stained toilet and dirty sponges in the kitchen, along with many unclean dishes), which was unfortunate considering the price of the rental. The location was good and my children really enjoyed all the games and toys.

My husband and I don’t get away very often just us without the kids, this little slice of heaven was perfect. We enjoyed the movie theater, the trampoline, the sauna, and most of all the views! They were absolutely gorgeous! Just to be able to listen to the birds, read a book and enjoy was all we needed. We ventured out for a hike, dinner at the local Mexican restaurant, and ended up having the best drinks at the Perch. The perch has a breathtaking view and Luce and his wife were so kind, made you feel at home. On our way out we hit up the Bigfoot cafe. The chai tea was delicious and the big foot cookies, yum, a version of Nutter Butters. The area around the cabin is stunning, the locals were kind, waving hello and being neighborly! We will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!

The property was clean and everything we needed was provided. We spent time walking down to the business, having coffee and empanada's at Bear Claw Bakery (George, Rosie, and Genesis). Thanks again for the experience and look forward to visiting again!

What a great place to tune off of this crazy world and tune into nature. The host was lovely and helped us feel at home. He quickly answered all our questions. The cabin is clean and well nestled in the forest away from anyone. We would definitely come back again!

Lovely location and friendly community. It was a great get away and we enjoyed our walks with our fur baby.

Comfy and cozy place located in short walking distance to the town center. If you’re looking for a luxury experience or you care about updated amenities, this place is NOT for you. Definitely in need of some repairs and basic upgrades, but we are flexible, easy-going guests and enjoyed our 4 night stay with our pups! And, we’d rent this place again!

We enjoyed our week at the cabin! The sauna, tree house and closet full of toys and games were what sold us and we stayed busy the whole week. There are cabins nearby but it still feels very private. If you are staying more than a night or two bring trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels or you’ll have to buy them at the store (which is fully stocked and has pretty much anything you’ll need). The pool at the club house was huge, clean and really fun, bring your swimsuits! Great hikes very close. The umbrella on the deck was unfortunately broken so we didn’t get any shade on the deck in the afternoons and it can get hot. Definitely lock your car doors, the bears will check!!

We wanted a quick getaway from LA for the weekend, and this was the perfect place. Off the beaten path and quiet. Cute little town within walking distance. The views from the porch were amazing.
I had an ulterior motive for bringing my girlfriend out here. I proposed to her on the back patio overlooking the mountains. She said yes!!!
This place will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we highly recommend.

We had a great time. The owner was extremely communicative and left great instructions on how everything worked and where everything was. The house was completely stocked with a ton of stuff for our 6 year old to do. It rained the whole time we were there, but we were never bored because of this great cabin. We will definitely visit again!

We had an excellent time in the cabin for NYE. A super quick walk to town - the empanadas at Bear Claw Bakery are a must. The fireplace kept us warm and toasty. The kitchen had all of the appliances we needed to cook our meals. And the sauna is legit. We even had a black bear encounter at 1am on new years day. We will be back for sure - it's such a short drive from L.A.

Our family enjoyed the house and property with room for kids to run around and things to entertain them. Kitchen was sufficient for our Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoyed our short walks into town and to the park. A small cabin but felt more spacious than others we’ve stayed in.

What a lovely cabin this is, so close to town and golf course you could walk. Upon entering we were enchanted with the coziness of this wood cabin. The stone fireplace, the piano, the furnishings and the views - are you kidding me? Sitting at the kitchen table it looked as if we were in a tree house. Impeccably clean property inside and out. Speaking of outside, it is a family dream. There was an adorable tree house in a massive oak tree, but also had swing bars, a tire swing and a wood bridge to traverse between two limbs. Walk a path to the trampoline, set amongst the trees. Take another path to the hammock, or yet another to the sauna which was wonderful as we visited during the colder season.
Inside the cabin there was an entire closet full of games, books and dress up clothes. Feel like watching a movie or binging your favorite show? Well take it in on a pull down projector screen with surround sound, a feature which we thought was awesome! The decor is fabulous as the mountain theme is seen throughout in subtle ways.
Communication with the host was excellent, any questions we had were met with prompt replies. The cabin is well stocked with dishes and cookware not to mention towels and many sets of great instructions for using everything from the sauna to the projection screen and remotes.
We really enjoyed this property and do plan to revisit in the future. We highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking to stay in Pine Mountain Club, especially with young family members.
Thank you so much for hosting us!

I truly enjoyed my stay as much as I could, I wasn't the best guest because multiple illnesses made my stay difficult to enjoy, Chris however the property owner was nothing but professional with me he understood. He helped me get the rest I needed u in order for me to hit the road the next day.
I would rent this property again, if they arnt to pissed off at me : (
I also want to apologize for the recycling amd the one bag of garbage left by the front door I just didn't have room on my tiny little jeep to fit it in there.
