A modest yet comfortable, friendly place in Kastellorizo

What can I say? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maria's Apartments (off-season, second half of October), the area around the house was quiet (although the school is nearby), with magnificent views around the place, and well-equipped (including the kitchen!). A good value, with Maria's restaurant with tasty home-made meals nearby (Ta Platania). The place has a modest, functional style which suits our taste, we felt welcome. It was even possible to fit in the triple room with a family of four, as there is a sofa in the kitchen/living room. Maria speaks good English and even offered a complimentary pick-up at the ferry and showed us around the neighbourhood. Everything was within walking distance from the house (the port, grocery store, restaurants, ATM, small local beach, local sights - fort etc...). I hope I can come back again one day!

For a short stay, everything was perfect.

Very enjoyable

Beautiful spacious with a lovely balcony which was sunny all day. Had all the equipment I needed in the kitchen, Maria who was so helpful picking me up at the port and showing me locations there, she also took me back to the port.

The best way to enjoy Kastelorizo.

Maria met us off the ferry as she has before. Great personal service, as the walk up from the harbour with heavy cases would be difficult. Maria is the best host you can imagine and also owns the wonderful ‘Ta Platania’ restaurant in the square near the apartments. This is a hidden gem with wonderful home-cooking; the stuffed onions are out of this world and must be ordered!! If you take just the one photograph of the fabulous view of the beautiful church with the mountain backdrop from the terrace outside the apartment, I’d be surprised. We love Kastelorizo and we love Maria, her apartments and her restaurant!❤️

A fabulous, well located studio with a kind and generous host

What a great location and a great host. Walk to the port or walk to Mandraki. I was picked up at the port and dropped back to the port. Maria was very kind and helpful. She has a great restaurant in the square near to the accommodation. Ta Platania

Åk hit en sagostad.

Liten ö men väldigt fin. Räcker nog med 2 hela dagar , vi vart rastlösa. Ett plus var värden som verkligen var serviceminded. Och deras familje taverna med gedigen Grekiskt mat som var topnotch.

Inget att klaga på.

We had a nice stay and beautiful time. Ms. Maria is quite nice and very helpful.

Ms. Maria, the hostess was very helpful and attentive. She took us back and forth to the airport and also gave us a short tour of the village upon our arrival. We had a good stay in the apartment.

I would ask the hostess to double check the cupboards for untidy items or open packages left by previous visitors.

amazing property in a fabulous central location for me who loves both sides of the island. Gorgeously laid out apt with extra bed if needed. for a short stay I had all of the equipment and facilities I needed.

Great for both Long and Short Stay

the owner waited for me at the port and drove me to the place; location is central, so easy to go down to the port and go up to the castle and walk down to the other side of the island; the apartment gives a great mountain view from the window and the door; If you walk up to the castle (only a few min from the property), you'll also get a great sea view.

hot water for shower turns cold rather quickly.

Fantastic place to stay with an amazing host.

Maria met us at the airport and gave us a quick tour of the town explaining the key points in her car on the way to the apartment. The apartment was spacious, well air conditioned and had a nice terrace in front. It is in a good location, a short walk to the harbor, the castle and museums or and the swimming areas. Maria and her family also have a restaurant in the square nearby which serves excellent traditional dishes. At the end of the trip Maria also took us back to the airport.

Exceptional

We liked the location of the appartement. A few minutes away from town but not too close so it's quiet at night. The washing machine was a plus. Everything was clean and we really felt like we were home. Maria met us on our arrival and showed us around. Lastly the food at her restaurant was amazing. It was the best food on the island.

An excellent apartment on a beautiful island. It is fully equipped - an apartment that can be properly 'lived in'. A short walk down to the harbour, but Maria picked us up from the ferry and also drove above Megisti to show us where to go to visit while we were there.

Great place on a great island with a great host.

Excellent place to stay on this excellent island Kastellorizo! Even better, the host, Maria, is such a nice person full of knowledge about the island, and who will pick you up + drop you off at the airport or port, depending on which mode of transport you're traveling to & from the island. Everything that I needed was provided & I felt like I was at home.

The whole experience exceeded our expectations. Everything including the room, properties location, and the host were excellent. The host received us from the airport and helped with our luggage. And provided invaluable information for the island and what things we need to do and when.

GREAT STAY IN WONDERFUL KASTELLORIZO

- nice studio on the higher part of Kastellorizo village - great welcome from the owner who did a quick tour of the island with us by car, and brought us to the room from the harbor, and back - good location to visit the island - the owner has a very good restaurant nearby - great for diner - Kastellorizo is a dream location for holidays

- no breakfast possibility nearby, either you prepare it in the studio, either you go down to the harbor

Very welcoming host

Maria is a very helpful host. She picked us up at the Harbour and gave us a lift on the way back, very convenient if your are traveling with luggage !!! We highly recommend also to try Maria’s family restaurant Platania which is few steps from the apartment, delicious food and super nice location!

Just bear in mind that the apartment is not right at the Harbour but you need to climb few steps before reaching it

Cool, clean, very well equipped. A bit of a climb.

Very spacious apartment,immaculately presented, with very modern facilities. The beds are comfy, the towels generous, the view delightful. If you need a washing machine, full size fridge, large freezing compartment, an iron,an oven, ceramic hob, andAC in both rooms. This is the place for you. Kastellorizo has the feel of Greece as it was, but with all modern conveniences.

In our experience the price is at the top of the range. And there is a climb from the port and from the road.
