the room is big and clean, and the staff are always available and helpful.
the breakfast is fantastic with both Chinese food and continental-style food. Must try!
the location is also good with easy access to the Subway. There are also plenty rental bikes here and there.
some door handles are loosened and need to be fixed.

Good design, clean, and very helpful staff
Slightly out of the way, and rooms not as luxurious as expected

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, which is the only positive thing about this hotel
I wonder how the hell did the hotel manage get its 5* and 8.8/10 rating. The hotel is located in an out of city centre nondescript residential area. From the moment I entered the hotel, I started to get bad feeling of what is to come. The hotel lobby was dim and basic with many guest suitcases stored in plain sight behind the front desk, and a few sand bag looking big bags were also lying right next the the front desk. Hardly the look of a 5* hotel lobby. The so called library is just a dimly lit area right next to a busy eating area wherethe kids were running and the adults werechatting. After checking in I was led to a dark lift area which took me to a long dark corridor with a huge dehumidifier humming. My “hill view” room looked straight at the front gate of a concrete school. It feels as if I’m staying at a cheap motel. I requested to change to a different room. I was shown two rooms, one looks onto an even uglier concrete building at the back, the other two doors away from the previous room, and I took the latter. The so called bathroom was made up of dark glass walls. There is no door so when there are guest in the room one can’t really use the bathroom. The floor and walls are tiled with slate, and dimly lit by LED strip badly glued onto the ceiling. The toilet room stank of dried urine, which after complaining was still there. The window is so old that I couldn’t close it and the technician had to come with tools to close it. My room felt damp, and sure enough when I got into my bed that evening, the sheets felt sticky because of the dampness, even though a dehumidifier had been working in the room. The furniture in the room in stead of being “Japandi” as some reviewers called it, it just looked cheap and dated. All in all I couldn’t find anything good to say about the hotel apart from the front desk, and I checked out the next day even though I booked for three nights.

Everyone is so friendly there!
Sanitize more to the kids area. G floor is kinda smelly over the time.

welcoming and warm hearted staff. excellent breakfast of varieties for both Chinese and international guests. comfortable beddings.
wish it had a swimming pool as it was very hot during our stay: 35 degrees 🔥

This hotel is definitely exceptional. We will stay here if we have chance to visit Hangzhou in future.

Good view, comfortable bed. Breakfast was okay.
I really didn't like how you could see the toilet (and above sitting on it) from the room. Glass walls just don't do the job. TV didn't work. No iron or ironing board.

breakfast was very good, had lots of options to suit both foreign and chinese tastes
bed was a little soft

The service was excellent.

The best thing in this hotel is the friendly staff and their hospitality. They handle English and are so nice to kids. Hotel restaurant's food was great. The hot tub in the room was comfortable. the beds were also great because it was fluffy and warm. I really enjoyed the stay in the Nook Hotel. :)
nothing particular.

Really nice and very relaxing hotel. Rooms and furnishing finished to a high standard and breakfast was good quality; mostly Chinese but with some "western" options. Kids enjoyed the little playroom and gym was also clean and well kitted out. Reception lobby/library a nice relaxing space also. Staff friendly and polite and CNY gifts for the children were appreciated. Would stay again if back in Hangzhou.
Location is pretty dull and feels like a very newly built office park. Maybe didn't help that we visted over CNY when everything was closed but there wasn't much close by. That said, the metro station is about 2 mins away so it doesn't take long to get somewhere more interesting.

Very well located, quite close to Guandong Xincun metro stop (just follow the street straight to escalators and you are there to move around in a quite convenient way). The hotel is just amazing, very nice decorated and the attention could be better, Summer and her staff make everything at their hand to make you feel absolutely at home! special mention to breakfast and to playground, if you travel with kids you’ll love to have this area so that they can play while inside.
anything! we really find The Nook outstanding and come back for sure whenever we think in costing Hangzhou again!

The overall style is simple and chic
I stayed during Chinese New Year, the property’s AC were turned off because the property wanted to save electricity power as there were a few customers stayed in the hotel. In last day of my stay, there was no hot water at all for me to take the shower. I asked the from desk to help either with hot water or the AC issue, the response was quite disappointing.

Location, size of the room, cleanliness, breakfast and superb service. Special thanks to Summer and her colleagues who went out of their way to assist us during our stay.
All very good. Very happy with our overall experience.

Nook Hotel prepared flowers and upgraded room for us. They have the best mattress ever where I stayed! Free mini bar/ Chinese tee surprised me.
Breakfast I gave 4 out of 10. There was no much choices some of the foods really salty.

Breakfast was great, I love the decor of the hotel and it was very quiet. The staff was very friendly and they had a great area for children.

Located right next to Ant Financial HQ. Clean & nicely decorated.
Room is not well-lit. The entire decoration was in black color. Bed is not comfortable.
