Ok, not great, location saves it

The location which is very convenient (close to old town by foot), the fantastic gelateria just outside, the street that has available parking for free.

The apartment is dilapidated and has remained in its 90s juice, more appropriate for shared accommodation between students than for a vacation rental. At 9:45 the person showed up to clean saying that other guests were coming and that she had to clean. Even if she didn't kick us out, it's still very early.

Great few days

Easy check-in and check-out. Great location for the old City. Really big and comfortable with a nice place to sit out. Would recommend. And also a really great pizza place just across the road.

Wow what a great 16 day sty to the city of Lucca and especially Apartment with garden.

Excellent Host in Gabriele,his apartment exceeded our expectations, central location to everything, his recommendations were perfect.

Superb base for exploring Lucca and the surrounding area.

The initial booking was easy to manage. I was really impressed with contact from the owner of the apartment. I had to alter the dates of our stay, by one day, due to a cancelled flight. This problem was addressed within an hour. Further contact was received prior to travelling to Lucca. He spoke fluent English and had lots of advice about what to do in and around Lucca The apartment was eight minutes away from the old city gate and there were plenty of local services and access to public transport. It was spacious, comfortable and clean.

Poor

. Not a lot really air conditioning ok and second bedroom. Host was nice but didn't grasp apt was really needing some maintenance

A lot of things did need upgraded Fridge and gas rings in kitchen. No worktop surfaces. Old toaster Bed broke on one bedroom. No where to put anything in bathroom Lights and fridge ect all went out . Had to move two heavy bikes to trip switch. Location ok for people with car not really walking. . Information about buses would be good. We were fined for not clicking ticket. Left apartment two days early and went to hotel.

Comfortable place to explore Lucca and area from. Parking is a challenge

Large comfortable apartment with fully equipped kitchen including microwave and excellent WiFi. Very nicely furnished and well located 10 min to the east walls of Lucca. Well insulated from busy street noise. Host Gabriele was very responsive to email with good local suggestions, even where to find the coffee pods for the coffee maker. Heat and A/C worked very well.

Not on site parking as listed. Only street parking in front of apartment if you are lucky. The 'garden' is rock and the washing machine is outside.

Great apartment for Lucca and the surrounding area

This is a great base to explore Lucca and the surrounding areas. It's a short easy walk into the centre of town and is really close to a great cake/ice cream shop on the way. I have stayed in the centre of Lucca in the past which is nice but can be a hassle with lugage etc. No such problems here. The apartment is a great size with everything we needed. Gabriele was super helpful. Recommended.

The main thing, that you should know about this place is - you'll wish you could stay longer! Gabriele is a perfect host - he created a space, in which you feel like at home, left around LOADS of tips (go and visit recommended restaurants, you won't regret it) and will share with you lots of informations regarding Lucca, surrounding cities and places worth visiting. Apartment itself is ideally located - it's outside historical center, so it's easy to get to it by car, or motorcycle. There are also free parking spots right next to it, so you don't have to worry about that. Getting to the center takes around 10 minutes of moderate walk. Pretty close you'll find big market and great ice cream shop. Apartment was really pretty, with lots of personal touches and colour. It had everything, that we needed - fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and small garden. The bed was big and very comfortable.
