The volunteers are very sweet and are doing a great job. They are friendly and nice.
The property is nice but super dirty, there was dust everywhere. I paid a lot of money for a place with broken lockers, so my laptop was not safe. The shared areas were very messy and dusty. The mattresses were completely destroyed and super uncomfortable, the room for 12 should keep max 8 people. The blankets were old and dirty, and the pillow was small, uncomfortable.
It’s not acceptable that an hostel makes people pay so much for such a low level of facilities
The place has potential but it’s totally neglected by the owner

The building itself was very beautiful. The terrace was also quite nice.
Some of the guest didn't quite follow the house rules. Once when I was close to sleeping at like 11:30pm they came into the room turned on the big light and flashbanged me out of sleepiness.

I initially booked 4 nights but ended up staying 9. Really good vibes in the hostel and met a lot of good people here. The kitchen in this hostel is a great place to meet other travellers and to share food if that is your thing. The terrace is spacious and very nice too. The voluntiers were both, cheerful and helpful and I felt right at home here. I recommend it.

great atmosphere with helpful & nice staff as well as easy going guests; well equipped kitchen & lovely rooftop; good location, easy access to bus station or hiking trails; reasonable price.
the metal bunk bed is old, I could hear every movement from upper bed. Also the sound insulation is bad, could hear the people from the kitchen, although I slept with earplugs.

A very cosy hostel with a bunch of nice people. Rooftop has a good chillout area but its a bit cold and windy in February. The rooms for 10 people got enough space for luggage. Probably its a bit hard too get in the upper beds.

Friendly staff, social atmosphère with other guests in living room, communal meals
Old not very well maintained (shared) bathrooms, noise from the street (in private room with double bed en window), thin walls. Room itself à bit humid, due to rainy weather.
Advice to hostal: replace bins in bathrooms so that you dont have to touch them every time to Throw away toilet paper.

This place has great potential... but it's wasted.
When i arrived for 1 week i soon noticed the cleaning was very superficial : bathrooms & kitchen were more or less OK, but if you looked closer, there was lots of dust, trash & dirt everywhere, from the living-room to the terrace. Windows were never opened to bring fresh air (so i did that).
In all small hostels i've seen, everything is done by 1, 2 or 3 persons, and it's clean.
Here you have FIVE crew members, and it's SO dirty & neglected...
I saw only one of them working really, the others were too busy chatting, smoking, smartphoning or making themselves important... One of the guys was here only for smoking joints, eating and not cleaning after he finished : super gross and disrespectful.
So my first impressions were not very positive... but it's just the beginning !
One day i asked my neighbors why they were washing all their clothes & stuff : they told me about "bugs, but don't worry, it's contained and will be cleaned".
Well... i thought it was flees, and didn't stress too much.
Next day i saw a professionnal anti-parasites operating in their room, but the staff didn't informed anyone, didn't warned me nor offered a bedroom away from the infected one.
One day later, my room was invaded too. Great ! Actually it was bedbugs, much worse than flees...
For so long i had heard about those (in)famous insects and never got to meet them...
Well now i learned two things.
1 : how to get rid of bedbugs (boil everything you can, carefully clean the rest, repeat until you get no more bites : it took me 2 weeks).
2 : don't go back to la dirty lazy casa not so encantada...

Our hosts were super friendly and helpful! They gave us a lot of great advice on places to visit and things to do. The hostel itself was very comfortable with all the amenities you'd need and a great atmosphere. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay on La Palma :)

I received a warm welcome from the hostel volunteers and Fran who is the owner 🥰 I quickly felt integrated and it was as if we were a big family! We shared evenings on the terrace (which is a real plus), laughing and singing with the guitar. All the staff were respectful, caring and willing to help!
It was cleaned every day, the bed was comfortable, the washing machine was available and the hostel was super equipped 🤩
Again a huge thank you because if my holidays were so successful it is thanks to you ❤️
Sometimes people forget that it's a hostel and therefore don't respect the few rules that there are (do the dishes when you have used them or try not to make noise in the morning in the dormitory). In the end, the only negative point is not even about the hostel but about the users 😅

The situation and the building roof was quite nice.
In general the kitchen and the shared living room not really clean. The volunteers (low cost workers) act as they are living in their own shared apartment with their friends instead in a hostel living room opened for diverse people ( customers here are not customers).

Very good location, close to the bus. The village is charming. The Rooftop is an added value of the place.Fran, the owner, is definitely a person you want to share some time with: very kind and good musician :)
If you just want to be by yourself , write your book and talk to nobody this is not the place to go. While I was there, the majority of guests where actually living there, with a few loud elements that were quite rude (or simply unexperienced "wannabe hypster"). Bring earplugs for your confort and expect your food to disappear (common problem with a lot of youth hostels).

The hostel is located close to the bus stop and center of the village, 2 km away from the visitor centre of the natural park. The volounteers were very helpful and friendly, common toilets were always clean, and the terrace was a good spot to chill
I guess I had no luck but during the three nights I stayed there I couldn't sleep becasue of many people snoring :(. Dormitory was not so confortable and could have been cleaner, also with a little effort the terrace could have been really nice but it was always dirty, furniture was broken and dirty plates/glasses around.
