It was clean. Staff was great. We got there a little earlier then expected and they got us checked in early.
We didn't see any Continental breakfast.

We had no breakfast, the office was not even open by 8.30 in the morning so we left without.
Very disappointed.

Room was clean and moderately upgraded. Had a bit of a cottagey feel. Good sized room, onsite free parking. Room was clean. Sink and toilet are newer, some new tiling done in the bathroom. Had a mini fridge and microwave and flat screen tv. Offered free wifi although I just used my own data.
Location is about a 20min walk to James St, roughly brisk 35min walk to the recreational trail. Within 1km to the No Frills and a Tim Hortons. If you want to be in the south end of town close to the 400 highway, this isn't close by, but easily bikeable during the summer. The young gentleman who checked us in and out was very nice.
Bath towels were more like rags. Very small, thin and although you could tell they had been washed(along with the bath mat) they were clearly stained from years of use. Coffee pot was not washed at all so we didn't use it. Window blinds had some broken slats, no instructions for the tv remote which had way more features than tv stations. Door didn't have a deadbolt lock(just a handle lock) so we shoved a chair up under the handle. Comes with a breakfast apparently but we didn't wake up in time to try it. Our room had a faint smell of cigarettes; perhaps in the walls from a time smoking in the rooms was permitted. Lobby/Office smelled very strongly of curry suggesting not very good ventilation. The heater in the room kept making tick tick tick sounds through the night which woke us up a lot the first night until we realized where the sound was coming from. Bring your own hand soap and shower cleansers. I forgot so had to go to the Shopper's. The hand soap they offer is like wet chalk.

it’s a great location and close to downtown Parrysound.
I am going to be truthful and honest I am trying to be a Karen . It was very dated. all the furniture was like it came from a motel that closed there doors and town and county got a great deal . The bedding was not as clean as it could be the bed was very uncomfortable and old . The cable box is just dangling underneath the Tv with no shelf there wires everywhere . So room #18 The washroom has Mold on the walls by the toilet and all around the shower and baseboards Black mold 😩.I brought it up to the office staff so he had a look at it and said very nicely it’s the wrong time of the year for these kind of renovations or repairs. Not good someone will get sick . I wish I took pics to share.

We stayed in Room #2. Some might say the room was small but we don’t care about that because it still provided all the amenities we needed. It was just my husband and me. The location was good relative to the wedding we were in town to attend. The bed was clean and very firm but was soft (memory foam). The room temp was great (in October). The room and bathroom was clean. It had almost no smell. Well decorated. Nice big flat screen tv. We forgot our phone charger/plug but had a usb cable so we used the tv as the power source
only things I could say is somewhat negative for our stay in Room #2 is that it had a 3/4” height transition from one flooring to the other at the bathroom area (It was a bit of a trip hazard for me) And the $130 price was on the high side

The decorator was nice and they tried to make upgrades to the rooms but the little things were missing. The bed was good and the wood floors were nice.
The room had the long binds covered the windows but did not help to make the room dark at night. No need for a night light in the room.
The breakfast in a box would not have been too bad but fruit punch for breakfast is not my thing. how about apple juice, orange juice in a box instead.
No dead bolt or other lock on the door for my own safety in the room. Just the key for the one lock.

Didn’t have it
Couldn’t adjust the heat in the room. It was to hot to sleep

Price was to high, consider that it is a motel. However it's summer and tourist area, so we did not have any other choice.
Better breakfast.

Good sleep and quiet room!
No stairs.

Staff was super friendly and accomodating. For a no-nonsense 150/night roadside motel in small town Ontario, this is exactly what you'd hope for. Will be staying there again next time we roll through town.
