Authentic farmhouse. Beautiful upkeep with courtyard and small greenhouse. Well decorated and furnished rooms. I loved one of the accessible family rooms with the books, antique and vintage linen and clothing on display.

We enjoyed the breakfast and the Masseria is very pretty and has a very nice and relaxing pool area.
It’s quite close to Lecce but the nicest beaches are much further in the south.
The room was full of mosquitoes, we slept really badly as they would wake us when buzzing next to our ears. There was no mosquito net although there is a hook. They should really put up mosquito nets. We also would have preferred a room with the mezzanine, so maybe we could have been asked which room we preferred upon arrival, as several rooms were available. When booking, we don’t know exactly which room we will get.

We had some beautiful days at the Masseria Caretti Grande, overwhelmed by the stunning buildings and wide area full with grapes, figes, pomegranates and so on. The breakfast was nice and Anna gave us a really lovely short tour around the Masseria, told us a lot about the use of the different rooms, decoration and furnishing and even provided us a bottle of their home made Primitivo. Definitely worth spending some time to relax in lovely Puglia!

Breakfast is good (as an option), pool is wonderful, room is spacious. Location is very secluded, for a very tranquil stay.
Access road is narrow. No sofa in the room, unlike what is shown in the pictures provided by Booking.

This 16th century masseria is just amazing!! It is authentic and feels really good. Beautiful spaces inside as well as outside and a lot of attention to detail. The gardens and the different areas outside are very pretty, typical Pugliese and really inspiring. The staff is very friendly.

wonderful place, full of amazing details to discover and in a very quiet location. just perfect if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing break. the swimming pool is stunning and the breakfast is very good. tasty local products. lots of lovely cats, so great for cat lovers!
there was an annoying smell in the bathroom the whole time - I guess it was the drain, we understand it's probably due to the specific setting of a masseria. still pretty bad, maybe the property could do something to fix it. another note is about the check out time: it's at 10.30, but at 10.15 (when we were packing, after breakfast) the maid walked in to collect the bedsheets (ok), and then asked us if she could keep collecting everything else (towels, etc), which was a bit stressful as we still had to pack and use the bathroom. a bit of a shame, because otherwise we had a great experience and it's not worth spoiling it for 10 minutes! I'd recommend the property to check on this.

The stay was absolutely amazing! A must for all those who wish an authentic rural italian experience. The position of the masseria is ideal for exploration of the surrounding areas, be it sea, small villages, other masserias or cities. You can refresh at spotless pool right in the masseria garden or go to many sea sites near by. Thanks to a very sensitive and unique art taste of the owners of the masseria you can well feel the traditions and the soul of the place that is preserved despite time. The attention to detail is amazing. It makes each interior to stand out and enable you to properly travel in time. Breakfast was delicious with enough choice. Staff was super nice and very helpful. Appartments are lovely, clean with small kitchen with enough tools to cook small dishes and fridge to keep your food in. We hope to come back!
Loved all! The only thing we preferred if noted that the appartments dont have regular balconies. They rather have a small space in front of the entrance door which can in a way serve as a tiny balcony but mainly it is just an entrance space. During booking we as well found hard to understand how our appartment will look like exactly as there were same photos for most of the options.

The Masseria Caretti Grande is like a dream. The charm of a delicate marriage between architecture and decoration really seduced me. Above all the people are caring. Not far from the beach by car, this is the perfect place to dream and recharge.
I hope I will return there.

Tha staff, location and facilities are great!
We will come back :)!!
It would be great if pool towels could also given on arrival or if a towel rental would be possible as it is not recommend to use the bath towels by the pool.

very nice and unique farm stay. Lovely restored areas, but unfortunately they are locked, not sure why. It would be very nice to be able to use them as a living room or the reeding place, especially if you stay for more than a one night.
breakfast very limited and not to a high standard. dry and cheap cakes and sweets. Coffee is good
