We loved our stay at Driftwood! There were 8 adults and we found the house to have plenty of space to cook, eat, play games, and relax. The deer come right up to the house here! You may wish to note that the driveway is very steep and the roads leading to the house are curvy. The host was great, she answered all of my questions quickly.

Host very responsive. Overall we were very happy with the accommodations. The property is quite steep. Parking is fine for several cars. Walking up and down to lake is very challenging for anyone not in good shape. Elderly family member was restricted on movement due to steepness. Loved the numerous bedrooms and bathrooms. Kitchen was adequately supplied. Master suite was very suitable. Bring your own paper towels, toilet paper, bathing supplies and laundry soap. adequately secluded but helpful neighbor. Lots of deer. second refrigerator was a huge help. Plenty of room for everyone to mingle on decks. We enjoyed our stay and would reccommend.

Love your VRBO. Everything was great. Lots of kitchen stuff, lots of bedding, lots of towels, our family of 16 had plenty of room, even to all sit down and eat together. Everything needed for the campfire, including roasting utensils. Driveway is steep, deer is plentiful. The dock is great to have. Rented a double decker pontoon and a jet ski. We had a great time making memories in this place, went to the beach one day also.

Our family gathered here for a weekend. We're from Missouri, Tennessee, and Georgia...so getting to see each other is difficult. The house was perfect for accommodating seven adults and three children. Everything was spotless. The kids enjoyed the lake while one son caught three gigantic catfish!! We will definitely be returning! Thanks so much!

First I want to start with what a beautiful location! The deer presence is heavy and the water is perfect. This place has plenty of space for MANY people. We brought our boat down and used the dock which was very handy!
The place has some plumbing issues. The primary bathroom toilet leaked around the base the entire time.
It also is in desperate need of a deep clean. It was dirty. Hair in the couches, mold in the showers, etc.
Very well stocked for any meals you may want to cook though!! I do suggest a gas grill. The ease of firing up after a day on the lake can't be beat!
It was a great family vacation!
The plumbing definitely has issues. The ma

Our multi-generational group of grandparents, parents, and grandchildren had a great time at this property. The large gathering area had plenty of room for playing games and eating for our party of 17. Many started each day with fishing off the dock giving some of our grandkids their first chance to reel one in! We brought a lauching pad for the kids to jump on in the water and they loved that. The kitchen was stocked very well and we used it a lot. We loved watching the deer from the deck too. Whitney, the host, was very responsive to texts. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the opportunity for us to be together in one space!

Was a very nice property. Didn’t realize too get to water their was such a long hill. I’m in wheelchair and only once was I able to get with help down to water. Steep driveway as well, should let guests know there cars should be 4 wheel drive. Obviously we were in the woods, an outlet on the deck would be nice for a blue light to draw bugs away. Every morning we had to sweep away dead bugs by the sliding doors, blue lights keep bugs away from inside the home.Did get an email about lawn people coming but got while they were mowing. Thank goodness all of us were up. No locks on basement doors. Cottage does need some work done as far as painting, caulking. We did enjoy the 2 refrigerators as we keep all children drinks in one and a twelve pack of beer , with 2 bottles of wine in the other

The house was much more than we expected. Our group of 11 never felt crowded. The kitchen was very well equipped. Having two refrigerators was a major plus. We only ate away from the cabin twice in seven days. In addition to the awesome kitchen we used the charcoal grill and the fire pit. There was a lot of outdoor spaces with great shade. There was an abundance of wildlife. Deer, squirrels, raccoons, and a variety of song birds were all over the property. We used the dock for our boat. It made it so convenient to enjoy the lake. Everyone we met in Cadiz was so friendly. We enjoyed the 400 Mile yard sale and went antiquing. The walk from the dock to the house was a little steep, but no one in our group had any issues. There was so much to do in the area. Our week flew by. Highly recommend this rental for larger groups who love the outdoors.

We stayed here at Christmas 2019.. after that we had the pandemic happen. The next year our son passed. It was a great time with family. Everyone enjoyed the lake house and the fire pit. A little bitter sweet for me. I miss my son so much. Thanks for the stay. Oh, we have two new members of our family our great grandsons, Tobi and Buck.

Thank you sooooo much for opening your fabulous lake house for my family get-together!! We had a terrific time using all the amenities. The weather was perfect- boated two days, and used our kayaks...got to use the fire pit because it cooled down at night AND as you know..I LOVED THE HOT TUB!
Game night at the big table...went into town to see the Art Museum and the antique shops and they had a music fest on Saturday...Enjoyed the local restaurants!
Bedding is waaay comfy! Enough equipment in the kitchen and in the linen closet to make it a perfect long weekend! Thanks AGAIN!!!

Our stay was fun! There was room for all 24 of us. We all wish the internet service could have been better - but, it was vacation! The description let us know the driveway was steep. It was really, really steep and curvy. We had an issue with the dryer and the property manager took care of it promptly. Thank you for a fun, family vacation spot.

The property was at a great location. There was enough room for all. The property needs some minor maintenance upgrades but overall we enjoyed the property. Thanks for everything.

Very nice place for large family.
It was very cold and the house was not warm on arrival. We finally got the heat working. I had ages ranging from 14-83.
My only grip would be the check out procedure. I cant understand about the washing of towels before leaving and dishes all put away?? I thought the cleaning fee was to take care of that sort of thing? The kitchen was well equipped.
Had to leave a day early because of weather. They did a minimal refund which was very nice of them. Thanks for the Christmas decorations as well. That was nice as this was a Christmas gathering.

We absolutely loved the house, plenty of room for our group of 10 adults to spread out. From sitting on the deck in the morning to watching the deer run around the neighborhood, it's a very good retreat to get away from it all and enjoy nature at it's finest. Very comfortable furniture, plenty of table space to eat, overall you will enjoy all the comforts of home.

Great deck and dock area!
This house is delightful on the outside. The new deck and patio are awesome. There is a fire pit that we utilized even though it was so hot outside. The dock access is a huge plus. We swam off the dock every day and rented boats from the Marina two days. It was awesome having somewhere to get in the water so close to the house. The inside needs some TLC which I am sure is in the plan for the new owners.

Plenty of Room for Our Large Family
The large family area had 18 seats at the tables and bar area - we only used 17! The downstairs pool table was busy much of the time since it was very hot the week we were there. Spacious deck was a great place for coffee in the morning, and watching the deer in the evening. Great lake access with a boat slip. Couldn't aske for much more!

Wonderful Forest Oasis!
My family and I stayed at this home the week of May 8th-15th and we cannot wait to go back. All in all we had 7 children, 8 adults and 1 dog and it was perfect for every single person. The home itself is delightfully tucked away in a fairy-tale forest like setting, right on the water. From the moment you turn on to the property you feel as if you have entered your own personal oasis complete with everything you could ever possibly need. We really appreciated the two refrigerators, kitchen appliances, gadgets and tools for everything we needed to cook. The home itself is perfectly arranged in terms of space/layout and furniture with the double decks and doors leading outside. The beds and bedrooms were beyond comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. The kids loved using the pool table, playing games and swimming off of the dock. We even went swimming in the lake! We rented a pontoon boat for the day at the nearby marina with a slide on top that we all absolutely loved. Additionally we were able to bring down our own fishing boat and store at the dock on the property. Any questions we had were immediately answered by our delightful host, Whitney. We have seen previous reviews about this property and wild dogs, we only saw one elderly golden retriever that was super sweet and named Molly and she kept to herself. Additionally, we didn't notice anything in disrepair or needed to be updated, this home is in perfect condition. We cannot wait to go back and make even more memories that will last a lifetime!

Great Vacation Rental for a Large Group
This house was great for our long weekend trip for a large group! Tons of sleeping options. Looks just like the pictures! Has everything you could want & need minus spices (which is understandable). TONS of pots & pans! 2 refrigerators are super convenient to have. Pool table and kayaks were a nice addition for the teens. Train table was great for the toddler. (Wish the hot tub was available, but was closed due to COVID.) The lake is only a couple minutes down the hill & was super secluded. We didn't see a single person outside our group. New porch was nice to sit in the sun & enjoy the view of the lake. There were random dogs running around. So beware if you leave trash out. The drive was also kind of surprisingly steep, but manageable! Only complaint was some of the bedding smelled like wet dogs. Luckily washer, dryer & LOTS of detergent was provided. So, this was an easy fix for the next day! Also, instructions for the tv/remotes would have made things easier. Other than this, amazing rental. Would go back tomorrow if we could!!

Great home but needs some TLC.
I know the current owners just purchased this property 5 months ago so I'm sure they have plans for it. The layout and location of the home were perfect for our extended family. Overall good place but needs a little TLC. Lots of little maintenance issues that really started to add up like broken doors, window frames, a few pest problems that an exterminator could help with, etc. Honestly a good, thorough deep cleaning would improve the property immensely.

Driftwood Retreat - 2021
This property needs overall repairs to the home, dock and porch. Blinds are falling apart and falling down. Closet doors either will not open or will not stay closed, bedroom door downstairs in the bunk room is falling apart. Home needs to be cleaned - especially downstairs and porches. Pool table needs sticks, rack and chalk. Trash around the bottom of the yard around the dock especially. It is not worth the money.

We’ve stayed in this house numerous times. It could use some updating…ie..paint, new master bath door, new closet doors in master bath. Overall beautiful house and we love staying here!!!

Labor Day stay
Second year staying at this property for Labor Day weekend with a family group of 16 total. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out or congregate together so if a few days at the lake becomes a partial rain-out, as it did this year, it can still be relaxing. Only complaint was the shared dock; there were several nail heads sticking up from the boards which was a concern with small children but just had to make sure they had shoes on before leaving the boat. Also, several cleats were very loose to the point of coming off so tying off temporarily on the end to load / upload was a bit tricky.

Relaxing vacation
Our family get together at the Driftwood was wonderful! We loved watching the wildlife every day. I wish I could have brought the wrap around porch home with me. Loved it. There was more than enough room, and kitchen was totally stocked. Did not have to go out and get anything. Decor was beautiful. Loved the lake theme. Will definitely stay again. Thanks again.

Large home that had plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed watching the deer in the yard everyday. Mrs. Phyllis was wonderful, she was on top of everything. The house was fully stocked so you didn’t have to worry about a thing.
