Very generous breakfast available all day as kitchen stays open

Lido do Ostia is a very quiet, strange little place. Not sure I’d recommend for a holiday. Breakfast was adequate, fresh cake provided as well as coffee and juice.
The place is a little run down and very pricey for what you get.

The host, was very friendly and helpful
The only problem for us, at arrivel, was that the Roma taxi and the local taxi was negative to drive us to the hotel. At the end we did find a taxi. The bus who leaves from the airport,, was closed for the day, due to late arrivel. (no timetable available)

Lido di Ostia 1933 is located in an early twentieth century building, part of the architectural heritage of Ostia Lido, with a typical inner courtyard and a nice stairwell, the rooms have a modern touch, the host is super responsive and friendly, close to the beach

Clean and confy beds
Bathroom: the shower water barely flows; hot water "disappears" while you wash. The faience has mold at the joints
Room: No air conditioning in one of the rooms while outside were 40 degrees Celsius;
Totally unwelcoming staircase, with the smell of mold;
Old look of everything, like in grandmothers' rooms.
No value for money!

The owners of this place are very nice, however the place needs refreshing. We had to wait for around 4minutes for warm water in the shower, and the shower pressure is very very low.
The breakfast consists of bread sweets from the store, cereal or some spreads to put on toast.
One of the main reasons we booked this place though was that it offered a free baby cot. Unfortunately they did not actually have one available for us (which they apologized for).

We had a bit of difficulty finding this location because GPS kept giving us backwards directions. Not anyone's fault. The young man who checked us in was helpful and gave us directions into the town and beach area. The room was larger than expected, two sets of windows to open as it was warm and humid this end of May. We had access to the kitchen for breakfast as there were a variety of cakes, rolls, beverages, etc. available. Good for Italian breakfasts. The bed, a double, was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The location was perfect and we were able to park for free up the street about a half block away in the church's parking lot in front.
The stairs were difficult for me in the humidity ... as I didn't read carefully enough that there wasn't an elevator?? This hotel is on the lst floor so it wasn't too bad w/o an elevator.

Close to the beach
When we check in they ask money and we told them we paid with booking and they said then everything is okay. Last they when we at airport they are texting again and asking money and threatening to come to airport and going to police if we dont pay the money. This is so unprofessional and was too stressful for me. They behaved us like a thief. He was keep texting me from whatsapp rudely. I felt terrible. Never ever again coming here and dont book here otherwise you deserve to feel as thief. If you have a business you should know have to behave your guest. They stressed me before my flight.
We asked ekstra pillow he behaved as rude and got mad. No papir or towel in the bathroom to dry your hair.
We were in the room and some one knocked the door and was about to come inside and we said we are not available. We put dont disturb to the door but they were in our room and cleaned everywhere and changed our stuffs place, we were looking for our clothes half and hour.
Long story short no privacy and rude people. Im not happy. I dont recommend here

Stylish older house, large room with two balconies. Everything worked well. Plentiful breakfast and good service. Stone's throw away from the beach.

the owner was so lovely and so helpful! Helped us with anything we needed and when the breakfast needed topping up, provided us with more and it was lovely!
They replied quick! lovely people, Thankyou 😀
obviously if you want to go to rome stay closer but you can get a met/train like we did and it was very cheap! We chose to go near to the beach, there wasn’t anything we didn’t like it was good for the money.
