bed very comfortable. Felt less privacy with window looking out to the front otherwise good value for money. Loved the dog
less stairs to climb LOL

We were welcomed by the owner who was most helpful . Unfortunately we couldn’t eat at his bistro because it was full. But a meal there would have been wonderful if the delicious breakfasts were any indication of the quality of food presented. The bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely view from our window. The entire property was tastefully decorated and beautifully maintained
I can’t think of anything that I disliked except this weather - it rained all the we time we were there. Nothing can be done about that

We stayed in Lundy bedroom, which was absolutely excellent, the B&B has beautiful decor throughout, and is run by a lovely couple who are clearly passionate about their business. The food is excellent, and far exceeds the standards of anywhere nearby.
The only negative, which is personal rather than a criticism, is that the bed was rather soft for our liking.

Modern and well decorated, excellent breakfast included.
You could hear other guests in the room above (footsteps, loud bangs, babies crying), and the room swarms with flies if the window is left open. The property sits at the top of a hill, which makes for a steep incline when walking back from Woolacombe beach.

Spectacular rooms decorated in traditional Victorian attire befitting the building with tall tall ceilings. Daily dress down of room couldn’t be faulted. Staff were wonderful almost part of the family by the time our four day visit finished. Breakfast was varied and cooked to perfection and no time pressure.

Everything. A great location and a beautiful historic building. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and we had a wonderful time. We would definitely like to visit again
The only thing worth mentioning is that the bed was a bit on the small side. My husband is 6' 4'' and takes up a lot of room!

We love the family’s story, how they renovated the property. They have done an amazing job, all of the property is outstanding, especially the bedrooms.
Nothing, it was all great.

Friendly staff & helpful, rooms were cleaned every day. Breakfast was amazing.
Parking is an issue as stated that the parking was £4.40 per day, but was more like £15 per day if you managed to park.

Lovely breakfast and welcoming staff. We usually stay in Woolacombe itself and was nice to try the top of the hill. Excellent walking straight from the front door - did 6 mile loop to Morte Point the lighthouse and Bennett’s Mouth. Beautiful walk down to Woolacombe using the footpath out the back of the car park opposite as well. There is also a bus stop opposite with buses to Ilfracombr and Woolacombe
The Bistro wasn’t open ( only open Wed to Sat inclusive) and the local pubs also didn’t do food / open on. a Monday ( in summer school holidays). You may want to drive / walk down to Woolacombe. The property is opposite the bus stop for the trip down but stop running early evening. There were takeaway options ( the chippy and posh burgers in the Chichester car park) in the village but these may also be closed out of peak season

We had a very warm welcome from Will when we arrived. The whole B&B has recently been refurbished to a very high standard including our room, which was very tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely soft and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. I especially liked the thoughtful touch of fresh cookies in the room each day. We enjoyed walking along the coastline and seeing the seals past Morte Point and also walking into Woolacombe, both only a short distance and the views were incredible.
I was disappointed to discover that the Bistro, which is below the B&B, is closed on Tuesday, this was the first night of our 2 day stay. Also the Chichester pub in the village doesn't serve evening meals on Tuesday. Fortunately the other pub in the village was serving food which was to a reasonable standard. We have a much better evening meal at Miss Fea's Bistro on Wednesday evening, I'd highly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay here, it felt like staying at someone's really beautiful house and the breakfast was delicious! We got a free room upgrade from lovely Will the owner, and the room was fab. Great bath and shower. Mortehoe itself is so lovely and has all you need away from the more touristy woolacombe.

The staff were all welcoming and helpful.
The breakfast was exceptional.
The Smugglers rest also has a bistro, the food was amazing and we dined there twice.
I cannot recommend the Smugglers rest enough. We will return

Great location and immaculately kept with a very friendly manager.
The bathroom was so small that you could not dry yourself in it. The toilet was also right next to the bed which hardy helped on the privacy front!

The room was very comfortable with a great view. The homemade biscuits were excellent. Breakfast time was very ambient and the breakfasts were amazing. We had a meal in the bistro which was first class at a very reasonable price. The overall attention from Will was brilliant. We would definately go back.
There was nothing we didnt like. The situation of the hotel was perfect. There were two pubs in the village and a lovely tea room. What more could you want. Plus there were great walks everywhere.
