The property had a lot of historic character and was ideally placed near the seaside and lots of walking trails.
Full sized towels were not provided, and the towels that were provided were not freshly cleaned. Hand soap was not provided in the toilet. The instructions requested that we clean up after ourselves yet few cleaning supplies were provided. For what we paid for our stay, we should have had basic essentials like clean towels and hand soap and not expected to have the place sparkling upon the early departure time of 10am. It also smelled of dogs and mould.

Location was excellent, about a 10 second walk to the sea. Plenty to see and do, loads of walks and conveniently placed for shops restaurants and pubs. Lovely steep hill to walk up keeping your lungs working….
Nothing really. I just wished we could have stayed longer.

The location couldn't have been more perfect.
After rebooting the wifi that worked well.
The kitchen was a great size with good facilities (I fixed the squeak on the bell).
The shower screen was inadequate, but I did notice one in the laundry room that looked ready to fit.
If it was my property I would jet wash the steps up from the kitchen door as they were a little dirty due to the environment, but personal preference.

The property was clean, comfortable and in a prime location.
Would have been nice to have a tv in the main bedroom.

Location was great
Think it maybe might have been in the middle of a refurb

Such a gorgeous old house in a stunning Location. The location was perfect, close proximity to a chippie, pizzeria pub and amazing restaurant. To be warned its very close to chippy, but Robin hoods Bay is small, so to be expected (no bad smells or noise issues). We all loved it. Super clean and ideal for area.
The steps are very narrow and steep inside the property; again this cottage Is from 1600s so to be expected and it added to the charm, and was absolutely fine for us, but wouldn't recommend for an older couple or those who sleep walk. There is a handrail and rope to help with navigating these which we found perfect.

Loved the quirkiness and the location.
The only issue that we had was finding a parking space
No private outdoor space

Loved the fire and the bathroom was really easy to use and keep clean.
Would love for there to be bath towels available, and the knives were very blunt.

Lovely quaint cottage in a beautiful setting. Heating very effective in a cold March.
No problems, being picky the double bed quilt could have been larger and a couple of bath size towels would have been appreciated.

no dining table. very steep stairs. but this is the appeal of the cottage

location,facilities and quirkiness of place
damp on wall, bedroom window loose and toilet ball cock kept making a noise? All very minor and it’s an old cottage so totally understandable and easily forgiven.
lot of dog hair upstairs but owner can’t police owners who don’t follow rules!
3.0 / 10.0
Plug socket hanging out wall in childrens bedroom, pillow case used as a curtain in children's bedroom, toilet seat broken, hole kicked in wall on staircase, paint flaking off walls, shower screen inadequate and bathroom floor flooded if shower used.

Location was great.
The property had character and was quirky which we liked as we live in an old property.
The property felt cosy.
The bathroom is in need of attention, the sink and bath don’t drain properly. The loo seat was loose slipping with the lid resting on your back. The shower head is cracked water squirting out of the sides. The shower screen is too narrow meaning water leaks all over the floor. All easily resolvable problems but collectively we’re irritating.
The house is in need of a deep clean, like behind bedside cabinets where plugs are, very dusty.
The bed needs a new mattress, there’s little support left in it.
The outside seemed scruffy no curb appeal, with neighbouring properties the same. Could be fantastic just seemed no one could be bothered or cared about it’s appearance such a shame.
The interior furnishings are dated/tired.
There are so many great looking properties for let in the village/competition. This seemed like it was unloved tbh which was such a shame.
We will come back to Robin Hoods Bay but not to this property unfortunately based on its current condition. I’d happily give it a makeover! However it’s positioning is great.

location was great - so near the beach
nice kitchen space
it didnt feel very clean, peeling paint and very low ceilings, especially on the stairs - not good for tall people!
not much seating and cramped in the lounge area and as soon as you get in.

It was very quirky; great location, had a washing machine and dryer (didn’t need to use them) but great if you do. Kitchen was well stocked with crockery/cutlery/toaster/kettle/ironing board, iron, hairdryer and towels.
Owners provided history of the cottage dating back to 1600’s and yes the stairs are tight but this just added to the charm, history and character of the property.
2mins from the beach/sea and a stones throw from smugglers cove great little bar that did great pizzas, beer and wine!

Location is good bottom of the hill near the Smugglers pub.
Unfortunately the entire cottage was admittedly by their cottage agent needed cleaning and said the sofas need throwing out. Stains on the carpets, dirty sofas, we had to clean our cutlery and cups etc before using them and the courtyard is in a poor condition nothing like the photos. We are in the process of requesting refunds. Mould on the Bath, cigarette butts left outside. We had to come home early. Complete rip off and if we don't get our money back we will need to proceed through small claims court.

Location was lovely very quiet
We were told on out last day we could have driven down to drop our bags & shopping off which would have saved a lot of hassle.
