This condo has the BEST OCEAN VIEW and sunset views in Kamaole Sands, a premiere condo complex situated on 15 acres of lush tropical landscaping in South Kihei, bordering Wailea. Located directly across the street from Kamaole III Beach, which has lifeguards, this central location offers swimming, snorkeling, diving, paddle boarding and whale watching. You can also walk for miles on the beach, and then watch the most amazing sunsets from our patio.
•Best Ocean View: Our top floor suite is situated in the popular west-facing building #5 which is the ONLY building at Kamaole Sands that offers DIRECT ocean views and sunset views. While other buildings are positioned at a side angle to the ocean, our suite offers the very best direct ocean view, pool view, resort view, and sunset view in the complex. Furthermore, there are a limited number of penthouses in building 5; therefore, our condo is one of the top 10 views out of 400 condos in the entire complex. Also, our suite is strategically located within the resort so that you don't see or hear vehicles, and nobody can see into our condo or patio.
(Tip: We are in building 5 which has the most direct ocean views. Beware that some buildings, such as 4, 8 and 9, face busy side roads or parking lots.)
•Recently Updated: In the kitchen you'll find modern granite counters, cabinets, floor tiles, and stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms have modern granite counters, fixtures, linens, and floor tiles. Living room has a beach-themed living room furniture, smart tv, and high-quality artwork. Bedrooms have newer beds, flooring, televisions, and the master has newer furniture. The interior vaulted ceilings were recently white-washed for a brighter beach feeling. Patio has comfy lounge furniture. Despite how active you are, you'll spend time resting, eating, and relaxing in the condo and on the patio, so you should feel like you’re on vacation there too.
•Private and Quiet: There are no other patios looking onto your patio, and the concrete construction means you don't hear your neighbours. So you can enjoy reading, eating, sipping refreshments, or taking in the view within a private, serene environment.
•Unit Equipment: This is an ocean view 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom, fully-furnished 1200 sq.ft. penthouse condo equipped with full kitchen, including stainless steel appliances (fridge & dishwasher replaced 2023). The condo has air conditioning units in the open concept living/dining/kitchen/loft area and in the main floor bedroom, plus 4 ceiling fans throughout. The lofted master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, king bed, and private ensuite, and the main floor bedroom has two newer twin beds that convert to a king upon request. The unit has a landline phone that offers free local phone calls and connects directly to the front desk. The unit is equipped with high-speed wireless internet.
•Resort Amenities: NEW PICKLE BALL COURTS next to reception building. Enjoy the property’s 15 acres of lush tropical landscaping and waterscapes. This property offers a large pool, two hot tubs (including one adult-only and one for families), kids wading pool, small fitness room, 10 gas barbecues, and well-maintained tennis courts and pickle ball courts. The main office has several internet-connected computers available 24 x7 for guests free of charge, including plane ticket printing. (There is also good wifi in our condo). Championship golf courses of Wailea and Makena, and the elegant 'Shops at Wailea', are only a five minute drive. There is one parking spot for this condo.
•Unit Supplies: The unit is supplied with 4 beach/pool towels and 4 beach chairs (but NOT beach coolers, umbrellas, or other beach gear unless they are left behind by other guests). Upon arrival, you will find a "starter kit" of compact-sized shampoos & conditioners, body soaps, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, toilet paper, and garbage bags which are meant to get you started but you may need to replenish these items after several days.
•Walk to Everything: The property is centrally located and walking distance to numerous beaches, shops, restaurants, grocery stores, sports rentals, and the popular village of Wailea. Best of all, you can walk for a mile along the ocean in either direction.
•Beaches Within Walking Distance: This resort is directly across the street, and just a 3-minute stroll, from the famous family-friendly Kamaole III Beach. At sunset, people come from miles to witness the fantastic sunsets at this beach, which you can enjoy from the patio. You can also walk to many other sandy beaches, including Kamaole I Beach Kamaole II Beach, Charlie Young Beach, Keawakapu Beach, and Wailea’s many crescent-shaped beaches.

Had the most amazing stay in this apartment- it was perfectly situated to explore the island and had everything you could need including beach chairs, access to a communal pool and a balcony overlooking the complex. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. Spotlessly clean, furnished to a high standard and with a fabulous view of the beach.

Annette was very kind and accommodating. The location is perfect, condo is clean and spacious. Quiet location even with work going on around the property. Annette went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed and even extend our time on our last day for a late check out. We will be back! 10/10 recommend

The space was exactly as described. Plenty of space for my family of 4. It came with beach chairs and a cooler which came in very handy on beach days. It was also very centrally located in Kihei with shops, restaurants, and rental places all within walking distance.
Annette was an amazing host. She’s so pleasant and answered any texts immediately.
The staff at Kam Sands were so friendly and polite. The grounds are kept up on a regular basis. The pool and hot tubs were cleaned every morning.
I’d give Annette and this place 10 stars if I could.
Additional notes on our experience. We felt Kam 1 was the best of the 3 Kam beaches. We ended up driving to it even though it’s not far and there is parking lot across the street with plenty of space so it easy and convenient. It’s a good beach if you want to rent a paddle board.
We fell in love with Ulua Beach which is about a 7 minute drive toward Wailea. It was great for snorkeling. We saw tons on fish, sea urchins, and even a few sea turtles which was very cool.

Stay at this unit in Kamaole Sands was amazing! A beautiful unit overlooking the pool, and common grounds and beyond that the beach an sunset.
The unit was immaculate. Everything was very clean, beds were very comfortable and even had some beach accessories for us use as guests including snorkels and googles.
Restaurants, the beach and other amenities just a couple blocks away too.
Cannot wait for the next opportunity to return again!

As with our previous stays at this accommodation, we couldn’t ask for more. From the moment we step foot in the condo we feel at home and excited to make more memories in Maui. We have stayed in this particular suite 4 times now, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. There’s actually many reasons, the decor and amenities of the suite itself, the Kamaole Sands property is maintained to perfection, location, location, location, just to name a few. Only disappointing party of the trip was when we were packing up to come home.
Cannot wait till our next visit.

Fabulous location in south Kihei. Complex has beautiful grounds and a great pool. Unit has amazing sunset views and is quiet. Worked well for two couples. Kitchen had everything we needed.

This unit was perfect for our family. The unit itself was spotless, had an amazing view, and was well stocked with everything we needed (including beach toys and chairs). The resort has a great pool, we used the shared BBQs most nights, and was a stones throw away from a great beach for kids (Kamaole Beach III). Communication was Annette was great, and check in was super easy, even at midnight when we arrived. Overall, it was a great stay and we hope to be back soon.

Last week was such a magical one for our family, in large part because we had this home away from home to enjoy. Annette's condo is well appointed, clean and centrally located to everything in Kihei. It's also a great jumping off point for other areas in Maui, including the road to Hana. We'll no doubt be back. We are truly devastated by what we're seeing on the news about the wildfires and praying for all of those affected!

Annette's condo is in the perfect location to explore the West Maui. Kamaole Beach is right across the street and a great place to see turtles.
The condo itself is very clean, updated, and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipt - we had no problem finding what we needed. There were beach chairs and umbrellas available for use, which we did, everyday.
Communication with Annettte was great. She kept us informed and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend her lovely place and would stay again!

This condo was perfect for my family of four. Everyone had their own space and bathroom, the condo was very clean and welcoming. We enjoyed grilling and eating dinner at home most of the nights because we were so busy during the day.
Annette was wonderful to work with and always quick to answer any questions we had befire and during our trip.

We loved being able to make breakfast in the morning, head out to the beach, come back for a quick lunch and then head out to our next thing for the day. This was a great condo. We had a wonderful view of the ocean and the sunsets. The condo was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was easy to get to where we wanted to go and is in walkable distance for restaurants and shops. Annette was great to work with and helped us as we maneuvered rain and flight changes. Jacquie at the check in counter was awesome! Very friendly. She gave us an upgrade, however we still didn’t get a room until almost 4pm.
Grounds at Nanea were beautiful. Villas north were very good, and Villas south were quite messy. Leaves everywhere. Lots of bird poop on chairs.
Very busy resort. Lots of people everywhere . Chairs placed very close to one another. People placed their towels on chairs to reserve them , which is not allowed. Staff did clean off chairs that were unattended for over an hour, but this didn’t happen with enough consistency so it was difficult to find space around the pool area unless you were willing to get up quite early.
The surrounding beaches and landscape are what truly makes this resort special. Lots of activities and restaurants nearby, although they were very expensive.

Annette the host is exceptional . With a couple of small issues she responded immediately and got things solved! The place is in a wonderful walkable location and the resort grounds and pool are beautiful and soooo inviting. I prefer not to use air conditioning when possible and the apartment affords great cross breezes. With only the screen closed to the lanai the pool noise is a bit loud in the evenings but hey… you’re on vacation!!

The condo was every bit as nice and furnished as it looked on the listing. The owners were friendly to deal with although we had no issues whatsoever. Great location to the beach and within walking distance to shops & places to eat. We are so glad we chose this location for our dream vacation!

Terrific value, great location
The condo is in a large complex of buildings and is one of only a handful with an unrestricted sea view. It would comfortably sleep four, though we were just a party of two. The main sleeping room is on a mezzanine, overlooking the sitting room. A small, second bedroom is more private but does not benefit from the view.
The check-in process took a while but this was not the fault of the owner. The keys are held at the property entrance and several people were checking in as we arrived.
The unit is well stocked with utensils and would suit if guests enjoy home cooking. There is also a small balcony that seats four and access to shared pool and two hot tubs.
Maui is eye-wateringly expensive, right now, and this property offers a great alternative to sky-high room rates in nearby hotels.
