The staff are kind, attentive and friendly. The hotel is situated on a lovely island called Koh Yao Noi which was the least touristy place we visited whilst in Thailand. The surrounding area was stunning, and the hotel took us on a complementary boat trip which was great fun, and had even better views. We really enjoyed exploring the island, and hiring a bike to get around is a must if you want to see the off the beaten track areas.
We paid extra to stay in a private pool villa with the intent of sunbathing on the patio, and making use of the private pool to cool off. The first villa we were placed in got absolutely no sun on the patio and so we still had to use the hotel pool (there are two, one main pool which is nigh on impossible to get a sun bed at, and an adults only pool which is mostly empty but lacks the views.). This was disappointing, and on the 3rd day of our stay we noticed water leaking from the light fitting in the bathroom ceiling. The slabs on entrance to the villa are also loose and we nearly fell several times. After 24 hours of back and forth, we were moved to another villa. This villa did get sun until 3pm, but still required maintenance to befit the price you pay to stay there. The shower door did not close, the toilet leaked water onto the floor, and the side of the patio had a 1.5m drop down to the garden with no railings, peeling paint and an overall need for refurbishment. The staff do a good job of ironing over the creases, so to speak. They are very good at their jobs, but the accommodation needs work. The villas are not worth the money over the price of the hotel rooms.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Two amazing pools. Room service excellent. Quiet and peaceful surroundings.
Everything was great.

Lovely private pool villa, good resort, great staff and good food. Easy walk to other restaurants.
No easy access to the beach, but good pool areas instead.

The hotel situated in a prime location that gives a magnificent sea view. Staff are so friendly. You will feel very welcomed. Room interior is exactly like the pictures. Everything is perfect
Food option is a bit limited

Breakfast was great with nice view in mornings. Manager of hotel was very friendly and helpful.
Lack of English language.

We loved everything about Cape Kudu! This is a stunning, stylish, intimate property with the best view from every angle, the friendliest staff & fabulous Manager who is easily mistaken as a staff member as he is so hands on & approachable. While it is first class there is nothing stuffy about this hotel. The breakfasts were delicious, cocktail hour by the pool, not to be missed & the cafe next door, scrumptious! We cannot wait to return & hope Antoine will be leading this hotel to keep it as beautiful as it is today. Scooters with side cars & motorbikes are able to be rented next door & restaurants galore, a short walk either direction from the hotel. We loved our 4 night stay, thank you.

Everything is perfection. The breakfast was outstanding with a vast array of options, staff who already knew your coffee order and were very attentive and kind beyond measure. All the food was delicious. Great happy hour. The pool is to die for! The gym was great and the room comfy. Nothing to criticise.

we loved the hotel itself, rooms were in a block at the back of the property, but they were not huge and ugly and were hidden by all the greenery, had great views. lovely rooms, very comfortable. yoga one day at the spa was great, some lovely sheltered areas to sit. breakfast was excellent.
shame the beach wasn’t really a place to sit and relax due to the rocks, you can’t walk or swim on it, but there were others nearby to explore. I found the hotel quite expensive for the facilities available, but there aren’t many like it on the island.

It was a perfect getaway
Tour organization. As we did a tour with a guy who was not knowledgeable in English and we went through a storm without being able to communicate which was quite stressful.

Nice small not too busy boutique resort. front desk service was courteous but restaurant was slow.
Lack of F&B options and beach front but if there’s one thing I didn’t like it was the Spa. Took a 1.5 hours Thai massage for THB1600++…was the worst massage ever.

The property was extremely clean with beautiful rooms. The staff were all extremely attentive and the morning breakfast buffet was delicious!

The scenery is amazing , a hotel for resting and enjoying life of an islander. Couldn't get enough of the view by the swimming pool.
Breakfast was fine , i would have avoid offering spicy food in the morning ( i love spicy food though!) Just because it might be a bit too violent. Diversity of breakfast was ok. We stayed there one week so not much difference from one day to another.
Room was comfortable , but a smell of sewage in the bathroom made me a bit annoyed. It is supposed to be a "small luxury hotel". So by that standard , I would expect things to be perfect.

Beautiful hotel in a great location on Koh Yao Noi. In between some of the best beaches and some great local restaurants too.
That we didn't realise there was an adults only pool until halfway through our stay. Take note as the main pool can be busy with kids.

The location is great, walking distance to a lot of nice places around (if you feel like venturing out). The view from the property is amazing. We chose a Sea View room over a Private Pool villa because of this reason and we were not disappointed.
The food at the property is pretty decent, however, we stumbled across a restaurant close by run by an expat, called Rice Paddy, which while more expensive, was absolutely brilliant food.
All in all, would definitely visit again. The hotel also gave us a complementary boat trip, which was fabulous. The islands close by are amazing and the hotel boat tour takes you around to a few chosen spots where you will see virtually no other people, giving you the feeling of a private island.
While none of them were a deal breaker for us, a few things:
1) The pool does get a little full during peak hours, which was a downside. Didn't impact us so much, as we preferred swimming around sunset time, by which time most guests would be getting ready for dinner.
2) the original room we were given only had a partial sea view and a view of the parking lot of the hotel, which when pointed out, was quickly changed.
3) A very big turn down for us was a lack of fresh fruit cocktails, which we didn't expect in this kind of property.

comfortable and homely. The staff are great and the accommodation delivered what we needed. The food from the restaurant was good.
The site is showing wear and tear after being open for 5+ years. We stayed in March 2018 and the accommodation is not up to the same standard. Although this did not affect our stay it needs to be addressed to maintain its rating.

We enjoyed every minute in the hotel. Our stay was amazing, will definitely come again and again!

we loved everything about this place! firstly it is stunning and very relaxed and well designed and the vibe Antoine and his staff have created is fantastic, offering daily things to do - beach clean, hornbill conservation, movie nights etc - we found it to be quite sociable as the pool is the main hub for all. the breakfast is amazing and exceptionally varied and overall it is not a cheap hotel but overall very good value for money. the sunrises are amazing over the Hongs and would recommend a 4 island long tail boat trip there too which the hotel can book for you directly with the local boatman. lots of good local off site restaurants to choose from. it’s a quiet part of the island and hope they manage to maintain this.
Asma the F&B manager and her team are brilliant!! the ‘management’ evenings went down a treat - they put on courtesy drinks and canopes and it’s a great way to socialise with others. I’m already planning my next visit! thank you so much for a wonderful stay - my best in Thailand on this trip!
the area around the pool is beautiful but it can become quite crowded. would suggest they offer a separate pool for children - maybe the adults pool could swap? when you’re having a peaceful time by the bar and main pool, it can become quite loud with children at times. they would need a ramp for pushchairs. or even make it a adults only hotel.
the food was ok but needs improvement as the local restaurants are much better for local food. the menu choice is fantastic but it really misses the mark on taste and flavour. I had my birthday dinner there and sadly didn’t really enjoy it sadly, tho the setting is beautiful.
we also had a spa treatment there which wasn’t good so we cancelled the next one we had booked. whilst the spa is a lovely setting, the staff need more training for basic treatments.

This hotel is a true gem. Beautiful surrounding, professional, very friendly and attentive staff, decent breakfast with champagne and many new options each day, relax ambiance of the swimming pool area, beautiful beach accessible directly from the hotel, everything is very neat and tidy.
We were with a 9-month old baby and hotel staff was very supportive in making our stay easy and pleasant. We truly hope to be back one day.
Everything was great.
