Clean enough.
Good location on loop road around Snaefellsnes.
Comfortable bed.
Lacked soul.
Dreadful view from cottage.
Plainly built to squeeze maximum profit out of minimum space. Obviously built by a big hotel corporation. Nothing charming.

Clean and cozy
Would have been nice to have a small table

No hot water on the cottage showers, killer birds on the way. For real.

I thought I am going to have a great time in this cottage since it’s too expensive instead it was a trouble experience
The hot water last only for minutes not enough to have a decent shower.
Rooms too small only enough for a bed !
No oven to cook on
No tv
No views
Wi fi too weak we never could connect to it
IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY

great location!
you had to park your car far from the cottage and not a lot of hot water

everything was spot on, amazing stuff, it was my partner’s birthday so they provided free prosecco and complimentary breakfast. 12/10 stars for such customer service. cottages itself are very cute ! 🖤

beautiful location
was not cleaned completely when I arrived but was fixed quickly once I contacted the property

Good interior, beatiful view in the morning, a few interesting objects around. You can see Northen lights if the weather is good.
Cold room and not enough hot water. There is a fridge and kettle but no spoons, forks or knives for eating in a room.

Their photos and advertisement and the location was good. Looked very cool
Wasn't as good as it looked. Wasn't even enough hot water for me and my wife to both have a shower. Breakfast was 20 euro extra per person and all the room had was a microwave with nothing to eat out of readily available. For a self catering esque accommodation. It was not good, it was a cool looking box from the outside and a mediocre box from the inside. Not worth the money in my opinion. And no WiFi or any other entertainment inside your box.

The cottage is new and the design is awesome.
The bed was really good and wide. I enjoyed a nice sunset by the big front window while staying in the bed. I also fell asleep while watching the northern lights! Really hard to beat that view!
The bathroom was big and clean.
There is the Arnarstapi center across the road with a restaurant, and the sea/center of Arnarstapi is 5min away.
It was not clear if I could park the car in front of the cottage just for unloading the luggages.
So I parked a bit further and had to carry everything... Some people did not mind driving the path, although the sign asked not to.

Everything - it was just about perfect!
A king/queen duvet for the bed.

The cottages are set in a beautiful location on the coast. My partner and I watched the sunrise over the ocean with a coffee and it was beautiful!
Beds were very comfortable. Room got a little cold late at night but a heater is provided.
The cottages have a fridge and a microwave. As my partner and I were trying to cook our own meals on our trip, a microwave was great! However, no plates or cutlery were provided so we had to go over the restaurant and ask to borrow some. For the price charged, it’s a shame these little details weren’t thought of.

The cottages themselves are very cute.
We were there for 2 nights. The location is extremely remote and the wifi never worked. This was a problem for us as there was not another easily accessible location to go to for wifi. The shower was abysmal, Iceland has no shortage of hot water but this place had about 6- 8 minutes of hot water available at a time. It also did not drain and we had to turn it off every minute or two so we wouldn't flood the bathroom. We paid for the breakfast included option just for the staff to tell us it is "never included with booking.com"

The key code system is confusing

Wlan was bad, and the personal at the dinner was unfriendly

Self check in was great, arrived at 4pm and got straight into our cottage. Top tip, after you book message and ask for cottage 12 or 13 as they have the best open views. the other cottages don’t have a nice view.
A nice drop off on the Ring Road to see the other sights in the area. Interior of the cottage was lovely with a big shower.

Wifi is spotty or none in my cottage.

The cottage was really comfy and warm. The bed was comfortable and the whole atmosphere was very cozy.
The hot water ran out really fast and we had to wait for it to reheat.

I am so disappointed with this property. I saw YouTube videos promoting it, Lonely Planet recommending it and Booking.com also recommending it.
The big plus is the location was spectacular and the design of the cabins were lovely on the exterior, but that really is the only perk of Arnarstapi.
It was embarrassingly under equipped, considering the price. 2 hangers. A Microwave, but no plates or cutlery. A Kettle, but the most random assortment of “free” coffee/tea that seemed like they had been left behind but the last guests.
The parking situation was confusing as there were clearly defined parking spaces. Apparently we’re not allowed to park next to the cabin, but we are if we follow these very specific steps. The walk on arrival was a bit of a distance from the cabin, especially when you factor in ice, snow, -5 weather, gale force winds and the fact you have to carry your bags 200m. On the subject of weather and parking, there were also no clearly defined markers to show the path to the restaurant on foot, walking through the snow taking a direct route, I fell into a ditch and scraped my hand and shin on the landing, whilst getting a very wet leg.
In the cabin itself, the finishings on everything was not great, felt run down. A handle was missing on our bath room door. One of the bedside lights didn’t work. The wood panelling on the interior walls was covered in thread and fluff from previous guests obviously bumping it the wall and snagging their jumpers. So don’t wear your nice, new, expensiv
The finishings on everything was not great, felt a little run down. A handle was missing on our bath room door. One of the bedside lights didn’t work. Oh and don’t wear a lovely wool jumper heat, as the wood panelling on the interior wish surely have you and ruin your jumper. That didn’t happen to us, however we saw plenty of thread and fluff on the walls to know it happened to a few people.
The only restaurant nearby was part of the complex and it was not great, it was on the expensive side. Very few dinner options, pizza, Fish&chips, seafood soup and I think that was pretty much it. One of the items we ordered, a pizza came out way over cooked.
Oh and the Wi-Fi wasn’t fit for purpose.

The cottage is really nicely decorated and modern. The location is amazing - scenery, etc.
It was very expensive so the value for money is not good. The negative points I have are the same as previous guests (lack of cutlery in rooms) so I question if the management have improvement plans in place. To minimise light pollution at night (and enjoy the darkness) it would be good if you could turn off the porch lights. The check-in and parking location could be either more signposted or guidance on how arrival works could be shared by email to guests or via Booking.com confirmation email.

A great disappointment!! After hours of driving, the room was not prepared. Room service didn't work that day. Nor could I receive help at reception because they do not open until spring. I have paid a luxury price for very poor service.
