Spacious apartment in convenient location to explore Trapani and surroundings.

Spaciuous and very clean apartment close to main street with shops, bars, gelateria and restaurants. Would very much recommend Il Tortellino for fresh pasta and pastries (get their Torta Paradiso!!!) And Bar Giacalone for coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Walking to the centre will take about 30 minutes. There are buses, but not so frequent. You can go by car, there is enough parking space in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele or around the port area (when we were there in April). Our host Daniel was super friendly and welcoming. Communication went smoothly, he explained how and where to park (free in the side streets), and gave us some information about Trapani and excursion options. There is also an extensive information folder with all the info you need. Trapani was a wonderful experience, although my partner was not feeling too well during our stay, so we spent a bit more time in the apartment than we usually would have, an were eating in mostly. The location of Romano apartments is ideal if you have a car and want to explore the surroundings, like Erice, the salt fields, the beaches at Birgi Vecchi for kitesurfing and the historic island Mozia. The train station is also near and convenient for going to Marsala.

The apartment could definitely need some TLC and comfort update (new bedding, towels, a coffee machine and replace thement of heavily scratched pans). Also the pillows were way too firm, more like furniture/couch pillows than for sleeping. Luckily we brought our own pillows, so we could sleep ok. The appartment we stayed had a nice vintage vibe in the pictures, but felt a bit outdated in real life. Beware that there can be a water shortage, so you need to be mindful with water use. For us this was no problem. Also one of the neighbours has a very nervous dog, barking a lot.
