The inn keepers were extremely nice and helpful. The location is great - right near the train to get to Edinburgh. The breakfast was excellent.
Bathroom was small.

I absolutely loved breakfast. Lovely hosts. Comfy beds, hot water in shower working perfectly.
The only little down side was a window view.

Very caring hosts.
Spotlessly clean room. Very cosy bed.
Room had everything that was needed for a very comfortable stay
A bit noisy as near to the road.

My visit was the definition of a flying visit, last in, first out, but think I landed on a little gem despite how short notice my booking was (I needed somewhere to stop for a job I had less than a days notice).
And they accommodated how awkward the conditions of my booking were, including arriving late.
Great communication on that.
The place:
Easy to find, well situated for connecting roads.
The beds were very comfy, so were the blankets and pillows,
The room was a comfy temperature on arriving.
Aside from some road noise, couldn't tell anyone else was in the building!
Had more facilities and little luxuries in the room than I expected for the price point.
The shower was modern which might not mean much to some, but its surprising how many have old electric units that cant hold a set temperature. Managed to have a comfy shower.
The first time I met the owners was when I was looking to hand my room key in, and such personable people ended up chatting for 10 minutes before I left.
Next time I might not be in such a rush and can book a breakfast, which looks rather appetising.
Only points of note?
There was a bit of road noise, but nothing that would wake you up.
Noted the taps took a while for water to come through?
Anything else was most likely down to me being exhausted having been up near 20 hours at that point. Reading the guest information was frankly impossible at that point. And being such a stay didn't test much else. So would be unfair to comment on anything.

The host was friendly, breakfast was good (english/scottish breakfast).
Rooms were small, shower was small, bed was very small. Weird smell in the hallway. And just too expensive (we paid 117 euros/2 people) for what is offered/the location. The view is against a wall and it's located on a busy road.

A lovely cosy cottage perfectly located for a comfy stay near my placement location. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the little touches to make the stay more pleasant and convenient. Thank you for a truly lovely stay!
The WiFi was a bit slow on the day I had to "work from home" but honestly this is a nit-pick, the WiFi was otherwise perfectly suitable and it was not a major inconvenience.

The house was spotless and the owners were very welcoming

very clean and the owners were super nice people. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful and provided extra breakfast for our daughter and partner even though they didn’t stay at the guest house.
The room we were given was on the small side but had everything we needed and was comfortable with a good shower with comfortable beds.
I have arthritis and felt the duvet was on the heavy side for me, but blankets were provided and I could have used those instead.
Not the fault of the owners.

Excellent venue - particularly like that there is a refrigerator in each bedroom. Iron and ironing board also handy to have.
Nothing.

Excellent breakfast with local produce.
I had inadvertently booked a twin room (rather than a double) but single bed was a good size and very comfortable.
