I was so impressed with everything in the Surf House, staff were so friendly, kitchen facilities were excellent, room was clean and comfortable. Very central location.

清洁舒适,员工热情友好。

I liked the environment
The manager decided themselves from one moment to another follow a fake rumour from a hostel declining the payment option provided. Cancelling the staying at last minute, I had to sleep at the park for that night

Good vibe with lots of young people. Great rooftop bar.

Location
Room only had bathroom facilities, no coffee making or kitchen.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. There were storage boxes under the beds for our stuff. There were social activities planned in the evenings which were great for meeting people. Highly recommend!

Fab hostel - feels more like a hotel! Staff were brill, light and airy atmosphere, room gets cleaned every day, kitchen is HUGE and great!
All social areas close at 10pm so you are forced to go out or go to bed

Everything was perfect. The hostel is clean and well looked after. The beds are incredibly comfortable and have a lamp, two outlets and two USB outlets each. The kitchen and common room are big and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Also the interior design is very coastal and nice to look at. Free surf board rental is included as well. It’s honestly by far the best hostel and also better than other hostels I’ve stayed at in Byron Bay. 10/10 recommendation.

Didn’t like that there was no a common room to socialise only a bar so you couldn’t take your own drinks in
Have a common area that is not a dam r or one you can bring your own drinks into

The location was good. Wasn't too loud noise wise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Enjoyed complimentary drinks.
Showers were hit and miss, had to have a few cold ones and flooded the bathroom. The fear of setting off the fire alarm with steam from the shower and being fined for it led to useing the shower with the window open that was adjacent to the next rooms balcony and gave the street a clear view. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable and worse for wear, annoying parking wasn't included.

Free surfboard hire

Great location, comfortable bed and lovely staff
Very poor water pressure in the shower and difficulty to get hot water during peak times (evening and am),
Rooftop bar is fun, but it’s on the same level as our room only a few doors down which wasn’t ideal when we were looking for an early night in bed, music stays on until 10:30th

Cool vibes.
Yoga for free
The kitchen was pretty messy.
Barley wifi connection in the room.

I really liked the overall vibe. The rooftop bar was a very welcoming safe space in the evening and I loved having access to a surf hire. The washrooms were also clean and so was the kitchen so that was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend the piano bar on a Saturday night. Everyone there is very friendly and the music is extremely good.

Really massive kitchen and seating area, good rooftop bar. A few mins from the beach. Comfy bed and dorm rooms.
I know it's a surf hostel by a beach but the dorm room floor and bathroom floor was constantly covered in sand making me wonder if it was actually getting cleaned/swept or not.

I loved the staff, cleanliness and location.
Initially, in a mixed dorm with 'dudes'. I'm too old for that now.
Moved into a private room and it was perfect.

Hostel felt like a boutique hotel. Great location, excellent kitchen facilities, rooftop bar was a nice chilled vibe and reasonably priced.

Central to Byron Bay.
Location in centre of Byron meant it was noisy at night and in the morning. Room had sliding door to balcony but no flyscreen on the door.

best hostel I ever stayed at, not a party hostel, really nice vibe and charme just like Byron Bay itself, the kitchen is the heart of the hostel, so nice, so clean, fun to cook there, very clean in general, rooms are ok too

Good location right in the center. Clean. Good communal facilities. Busy with backpackers.
Noisy in the early morning from trucks outside.
3.5
Great location! Right in the centre of town. Good sized rooms and the balcony was great to sit and relax in the afternoon.
Rooms weren’t cleaned thoroughly. Toilet paper and toiletries weren’t ever replaced - I had to go to reception on more than one occasion to ask for toilet paper.

The location, and staff, were great.
The price. There are 1000 places on the eastern seaboard that have great beaches, Byron thinks it's better, and prices accordingly. Its not better, the soy milk drinking hippies are on too much crack. There is no way this place is worth $350 a night for a backpacker room.
4.5
really friendly staff that couldn’t do enough to make the stay perfect!
rooms are basic but nicely furnished and comfortable
