Be aware!

We have walked past this property many times and thought the location was perfect and the setting ideal. The bedroom had a good set of wardrobes and air conditioning unit. The garden is pretty and well maintained.

We thought we had booked San Salvador which has a very high rating and indeed that is what was on our booking. However, be aware, the property is divided into 3 apartments - San Salvador, San Jose and Sai Gayatri’s. The photos show a selection of all three apartments and it is not until you arrive and are given the keys that you find out which one of the one bed apartments you are staying in. We were put in San Jose and were massively disappointed. The shower room is just too small with a tiny, oddly shaped shower cubicle and a small, awkward, blue basin with nowhere to hang/dry your towels effectively apart from outside which is no good when it rains and birds poo on them! The bedroom only had one bedside table and I ended up using my case to put my watch on - no dressing table for make up etc. The small kitchen/diner/lounge is dominated by an excess of very nice kitchen cabinets and an unnecessary American fridge/freezer but no dishwasher as per the description on Booking.com. This cramped room had an oversized sofa, bookshelves but no coffee table. There is a useful outside washing but the occupants of the other ground floor apartment commandeered it. The outside space is shared and we felt it necessary to keep the curtains drawn to maintain any privacy. We didn’t use the pool as it always had a cleaning machine in it presumably to clean it from the overhanging trees and the hot tub appeared to be out of use. Finally, we weren’t expecting to share the grounds with a dog when we checked that pets weren’t allowed. We were truly disappointed and felt we overpaid for mediocre facilities.

A great location and good relaxing areas to sit out in.

Stayed at San Jose Apartment in November it is one of 3 apartments in San Salvador building. The star of this place is the outside area; 4 separate places to relax in with beautiful trees surrounding and plenty of seating / sun loungers. The roof terrace gives an amazing view of sea. There is a small pool - we did not use it due to the water being too cold. There was also a hot tub however had sturdy covers on it so did not use. The apartment it’s self was cosy big enough for just the two of us, very well equipped with utensils, iron, board and hairdryer etc. The bed was super comfortable - a large double which was great. Big television and good Wi-Fi in the small seating area.

Sadly the the one thing that really let the apartment down was the bathroom. The shower itself was good however there was no shower tray just a red block of wood(?) with an inadequate drain, there was flimsy nylon shower curtain that wasn’t fit for purpose. The block of wood I think was to to hold back the water so imitating a walk in shower, I think ….it didn’t work and the result was a flooded floor every day when we showered. Luckily there were plenty of towels so we soaked up the water every day and left towels out to dry until the following day. We didn’t bother reporting during our stay as really as a major repair / putting in a proper shower tray would only work! we did report on day of leaving that some attention required. Would definitely stay here again but only after some work on the bathroom.

Fantastic apartment a mini oasis in Nerja, amazing pool, gardens and roof top terrace with sea view!

We used the taxi service and he had our keys to the apartment. He was the best taxi driver we have had, thank you Manolo, he was very informative about the area. He recommended restaurants & places to visit, we did visit 3 of his recommended restaurants and they were all excellent. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment downstairs and the apartment had everything you need and more! We loved the beautiful gardens and pool. We had an amazing view from the roof top terrace overlooking the sea, this was available for all the guests to use. The location was brilliant just a short walk to the Balcon one way, or down to Burriana beach the other way. The owner was very friendly & we loved her dog Rooney, we knew where the apartment was from previous visits as we had seen Rooney in the garden every day as we walked to & from the beach. The apartment is like a mini oasis in Nerja and we loved every minute.

We had no idea what to do with our keys when we left! I received a call from a very abrupt woman in the office in Canovas Holiday Rentals, insisting I had been sent numerous messages about our departure, which I had not received, she said I had a taxi booked, which I did not, and that she did not appreciate the fact I had not replied to the messages with my flight number. The lady basically ranted on & I had to cut off the call, she would not accept that it was her mistake and that no messages had actually been sent. I really wanted to report this so the owners are aware, the couple in the apartment next to us also found the woman rude when they spoke to her the same day & she said she told her about her rude manner. Such a shame one person can have such a negative effect on what was an excellent apartment & holiday.

We were lucky we had terrible weather and didn’t need to use the non existent outdoor facilities.

The location is amazing, the apartment is amazing, very comfortable.

They advertised a heated pool and a hot tub , the pool was empty and they were tiling and painting and the hot tub covered in construction supplies, when we inquired with the property manager they said it was due to the sandstorm which was a blatant lie. The gardens were overgrown and not usable. They’re building another house next door and the noise was annoying. The property manager did not reply to our inquiries by text, e-mail or in person.

Wonderful holiday apartment

Place is clean and comfortable. The grounds are really lovely with plenty places to sit or eat outside. The location is perfect with easy access to town and the beach. The view from the rooftop terrace is stunning. The owner is lovely and Rooney the dog is very friendly. The management company are really excellent and came back with responses to any queries very quickly. I would happily recommend this for a stay in Nerja.

We had no complaints.
