About this house rental
Welcome to Tequila Sunset! This luxurious eight-bedroom, eleven-bath cottage accommodates up to 18 guests comfortably. You will find king beds in six bedrooms and two twin beds in each of the two additional guest bedrooms along with sleeper sofas in the living room and the third-floor game room.
Kick your feet up and unwind in the living area after a day of wastin’ away again in Margaritaville. This inviting house is the perfect spot to unwind. Upon entering the pristine three-story cottage, you will find a dining area on the left and a bedroom on the right. Down the hall, there is an additional guest bedroom and the fully-equipped kitchen. You have all the utensils, appliances, and cookware needed to create your favorite meals and frozen drinks while on vacation. Gather in the breakfast or dining room to enjoy your own version of the signature cheeseburger in paradise. Near the kitchen and dining area is a washer and dryer combination, allowing you and your guests to pack lightly.
Step out to the private lanai for some outdoor chilling. The sparkling swimming pool and relaxing in-ground hot tub offer lake views and the perfect atmosphere for changes in latitude, changes in attitude. The patio area includes a dining table and chaise lounges with a half-bath.
On the second floor, you will find five additional bedrooms, providing plenty of space for the whole group to relax. The loft is a gamers paradise with an oversized couch, side-by-side 40” TVs, and two X-Box consoles. In the front and back of the cottage, you’ll find separate private outdoor spaces that are perfect for a quiet break or an alfresco breakfast. The third floor boasts an island themed tiki bar decorated with Margaritaville memorabilia equipped with a mini fridge. This provides the picture perfect hangout spot to enjoy an ice cold drink while enjoying the sunset.
The third floor also includes a second Master bedroom with a large en-suite bathroom and access to the wraparound balcony. The large game room is equipped with your favorite games for endless entertainment. Rewind in time by playing one of the 60 classic arcade games on the Multicade machine or challenge others to a friendly game of poker, a round of bumper pool, or a round-robin tournament on the 9-foot shuffleboard table.

The location of the property is excellent. The house however was very poorly equipped with necessary utensils and cooking items. Many of the things in the house were either broken or broke when using. The pool towels extremely small and thin. Maintenance people were excellent and responded quickly.

The house condition and ammenities were poor for the money that paid. Ice maker didnt work, toaster was ****, 100 margarita glasses but no margarita maker, towels were garbage. The house itself was in good condition but there are obvious signs of poor maintenance. We enoyed the game room and the pool. I wish there was a way for the hot tub heat to be on without the jets. The jets were so loud that it was hard to have conversations and so powerful that you couldnt sit in front of them for but a couple minutes before they hurt. The sliding door alarm didnt work correctly and were on constantly, we called management but no one came out to fix this the whole time.

Great place to have a quiet escape from the craziness of Orlando. The house was huge with plenty of room for the kids. Nice heated pool and spa with lake views. The property is walking distance to the resort restaurants and amenities as well as off site restaurants.

This is our 5th year in a row stay at the Martaritaville cottages and we always have a great time. This property was beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. The house could use some minor repairs/updates (missing handles, loose dispensors) but the managment company was quick to respond to these minor issues.

The house was beautiful and clean. Plenty of space for what we needed. But overall the upkeep seemed to be lacking. We rented this house specifically for the amenities for New Years Eve having a wide age range of children to entertain for a family celebration. Upon arriving the first night it was determined the pool sticks were broken and management said they couldn’t replace them because they didn’t have any. Making the table unusable the whole trip. Then we found the ice machine broken. The gave us a small bag of ice that didn’t last long considering the amount of people, and the in unit frozen concoction machine. We needed to run out several times to buy ice and were told not fixable until after check out. At bedtime we searched for the sleep sofa bedding. Only to be told that needed to be requested in advance. And that they couldn’t provide any for the first night. Which is ridiculous. There was zero communication prior telling us that we needed to ask for it. The units were advertised as having sofa beds, so it was realistic to assume they would provide the bedding. The first morning we found that the dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor. We needed to keep pool towels under it and clean up water the whole stay. The second day we determined the timer for the hot tub didn’t work. It turned on but never counted down, which kept the jets continuously on which kept the spa from automatically refilling from the pool as it was supposed to. The house was stocked with start up items, however, they seemed very minimal compared to other places we have rented and we were missing items like kitchen towels and pizza cutters. It was disappointing that the list kept growing throughout our stay, and that it was evident no one is inspecting or maintaining these properties regularly. Especially even after the high rental fees charged.

We rented this home for a girlfriend getaway weekend. The home was clean and spacious, and had everything we needed when we wanted to cook / chill at "home" - but we also loved that it was a quick walk to get to many restaurants and shops. I absolutely loved the overall "vibe" at Margaritaville. It is clean, with plenty of opportunities to have fun / party, but also plenty of space to relax and decompress. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure!

Our experience was very good, the checking went well, and the folks at Margaritaville resort are fantastic. Located next to the Sunset walk promenade made going out and about for meals and entertainment quite easy. A short and nice walk away. The cottage we rented was huge and accommodated our extended family quite well. Having a bathroom with every bedroom was fantastic. The pool & hotub every night - huge plus. Went to nearby Target for incidentals during our stay. The property is well kept, clean and minor and expected wear&tear. We did notice on the last day a cockroach, but were in an area that it should not be a surprise.

The house and property were fabulous. We had a beautiful view, great pool and everyone had their own room and bathroom and believe me, with 10 women, this was a godsend! We definitely recommend this location whether for a family getaway or a girls trip, it was amazing!

In 2022 we rented two cottages and were delighted with both cottages. We expected the same this year when we rented one cottage. We were very disappointed with the cottage at 8065 Surf. The cottage was obviously not inspected for rental purposes. There were no safety bars in any of the walk in showers or tubs, which we thought were required by Disability Act. Some of us up in years had difficulties in using them. The beds especially on the first floor were extremely high and had to use a chair to step up to the bed. The living room carpet was dangerous, several people slipped on the carpet that has no floor traction. There were no instructions on how to operate any of the TV sets. There were no instructions on the light controls throughout the house. This house was not up to rental codes that we expected since the last two cottages were excellent. The pool was obviously not maintained before our arrival. We had to call for pool service. The resort itself was as wonderful as our first visit. The cottage was a great disappointment. Not a single hook on any doors or in any rooms to hand cloths or towels on. These cottages need to be inspected before rented especially for older guests.

Our vacation consisted of 12 adults and 1 child, plenty of room for us all comfortably. The sleeping amenities were great except for the sleeper sofa which was not comfortable. Other than that we have no complaints, the house was great. We had a great time. The shuttle was convenient & the drivers were very nice. We would definitely go back. overall, it was a very nice experience. The promenade was within walking distance, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The only complaint I have was the cleanliness(or lack there of) of the back porch when we arrived and we lost power for a few hours our last night there.

We rented an 8 bedroom home on surf street. Very nice house only a few things wrong during our stay. The freezer ice major did not work. The outside fans one was missing and the other did not work.the floors were a bit sticky to walk on not sure if it's the cleaner they use or not. And not a whole lot to cook with. We still had a great time had the pool and game room. House was good overall

We really enjoyed this home and its location. Management was very responsive when we wanted the pool and spa temperature changed. Resort amenities are awesome! We loved the shuttle around Sunset Walk as well as all of the programs at the main pool. A few improvements would make this home ideal- 1. fix the outside fans- none of them worked. 2. game room maintenance- would have loved to play shuffleboard but it needed sand. 3. add a few more kitchen items like mixing bowls, pizza cutter, etc. Overall, our group had a wonderful time and enjoyed this clean and enjoyable home and we would return.

The house itself was beautiful and fit our party size of 8 perfectly! However we had a few things that we did not like. We had ants in the kitchen and the blender that was provided for use. Also the hot water in the master bedroom on the third floor was not working. We did call for service but the problem was not fixed. Overall we had a nice experience but for the price we paid those items should have been addressed and fixed.

The house was gorgeous, clean, and spacious! It fit 5 families easily and we enjoyed ourselves! The only thing that would be nice would be if there were a few more pots and pans for cooking. The house only has 3 total so that made cooking for a large group more challenging. Overall the pool was warm and clean, hot tub was a great size, there were plenty of games and tvs for everyone in the evening and we really loved that we were on the water but a super short walk to the resort pool!

Tequila Sunset was a beautiful property located in the Margaritaville Orlando Resort. There was so much space for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool during the day and beautiful sunset from the 3rd floor wrap around balcony. This home is located in a great area located next to The Promenade at Sunset Walk. They offer a complimentary shuttle to pick you up for dinner yet close enough you can stroll home.

I emailed about if the property had a propane grill and was informed yes that I would not need to rent one. That was a lie and when I questioned they said to bad you have to rent. I also asked about pot and pans. I was told fully stocked. Not sure what they feel is fully stocked it has 1 pot and 3 frying pans and a couple small pans. For a house that is to hold 18 people you would expect a lot more pots and pans. We will not be staying at this house again for the price. We stayed at another home 2 years ago that had a grill and tons of pots and pans and it was half of the money. If you don't want to cook then this is the house if you want to cook don't rent this house not worth the money.

We stayed at 8065 Surf St, an 8 bedroom 11 bath cottage with private pool. There were 3 families total, so having the extra space was great. The home was absolutely beautiful. A few minor things that could have been better were that we were only given 1 trash bag. For a 5 night stay, one per day would have been nice. The trash from the people that had been there before us at the house next door, was not picked up after they left. 3 days in to our stay it was still there overflowing on to the ground and it was causing the whole area to stink. I did call the front desk at that point and they were good about removing it immediately. We went to Disney and Universal while we were here. You can’t beat the location, only 4 miles from Disney. We stayed at 8065 Surf St, an 8 bedroom 11 bath cottage with private pool. There were 3 families total, so having the extra space was great. The home was absolutely beautiful. A few minor things that could have been better were that we were only given 1 trash bag. For a 5 night stay, one per day would have been nice. The trash from the people that had been there before us at the house next door, was not picked up after they left. 3 days in to our stay it was still there overflowing on to the ground and it was causing the whole area to stink. I did call the front desk at that point and they were good about removing it immediately. We went to Disney and Universal while we were here. You can’t beat the location, only 4 miles from Disney. We also enjoyed the water park, Island H2O that was across the street. Overall, we had a great stay here and we would like to do it again at some point.

Enjoyed our stay at Margaritaville Resort
Really enjoyed the home PLUS the use of the resort pool, gym, spa and grounds. The nearby restaurants, shopping center and water park were also a plus for us—everything in walking distance.
The combination of these amenities and the private home with a pool was great for these COVID times.
Had a few issues with the spa heating up and a few cleaning opportunities upon arriving at the property but the property manager was very responsive and resolved issues quickly.
We would stay here again.
