Lovely place, great breakfast, super-friendly staff

Comfortable rooms, and truly fantastic breakfast

Lack of facilities in the room, eg water etc. No drying area. There was a kitchen but it wasn't clear if guests could use and there were no utensils, crockery etc. For Via Francigena walkers this would have been helpful.

Simpaticissimo, cordiale e disponibile Enrico, che ci ha recuperati e accolti nel miglior modo a tarda sera, Gli interni e gli arredi rispettano il "vecchio" stile della casa, bella la cura dei dettagli che rendono la location molto accogliente e romantica. Il giardino merita di essere maggiormente valorizzato.

Il giardino un po' lasciato a sé stesso.

Perfect choice to stay a night.

It was so nice to arrive after walking all day in the rain on the Via Francigena. Highly recommend booking this place for a warm welcome and good breakfast.

There was nothing that could've been better, everything was thought of. The host even made a reservation for a restaurant nearby.

Exceptionally kind and gracious owner

What a kind, beautiful owner. The historic accommodation is beautifully decorated, with an amazing view over the valley. I could not be happier and would love to stay there again. Great value for money.

Traumhafte Unterkunft, in die ich mich direkt verliebt habe. Ich war leider nur eine Nacht vor Ort.

liebevoll zubereitet und in einem tollen typisch toskanischen Stil gehaltenen Ambiente. Die Gastgeberin hat nach den Frühstücksvorlieben gefragt und man konnte auch nachbestellen. Besser geht es nicht !!

El trato era muy bueno, dispuestos para atenderte en cualquier momento. Aunque no hablemos el mismo idioma, se hacían por entender y darte el mejor servicio posible. Las instalaciones muy limpias y cuidadas, con un aspecto rústico pero nuevo.

A gem in the heart of tuscany

This was our best experience so far in Tuscany. Gambassi Terme is a gem. A village on a hillside with a beautiful main square. Casa de principe is a beautiful building with a nice garden to have breakfast at. Enrico, the owner is a star - the best host ever. He made a beautiful breakfast for us every day, Pistachio croissant with Italian cappuccino... the best :-) The room was air-conditioned which was necessary in the 40 Celsius heat. We had a wonderful time!

Not that I can think of. If you want to sit in the garden after sunset, bring mosquito repellent...

A treat after the long day walking

Loved everything about my stay :) The location was in the narrow old Gambassi Terme streets with the continuation of Via Francigena path, also seeing the sunset from this spot is beautiful! The house is well equipped, I liked how the owner decotared it and named rooms after his favourite fiction/movies so we ended up in Forrest Gump room. The owner speaks English and is very welcoming, treats with a nice light breakfast (no fried food, yogurt /croissants) in the garden behind the house! I saw at the breakfast another travellers who are backpacking through the pilgrim Via Francigena route - this stay is really convinient if you have similar plans.

Just adjusting the check out time information on the page - it’s at max 11:00 and not up to 13:30 :)

Awesome

Stunning view from the window, and the room itself is very beautiful and cozy with a beautiful interior and atmosphere. Wonderful and sociable host, will help with everything and advise where to go/travel. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. On the last day, when we had to leave early in the morning, the host left us breakfast for the morning in advance, which was very pleasant for us. When we go to Tuscany again, we will definitely return to that place.

The clean room is a perfect for one night while travelling through to your next destination. it has got character and offers beautiful views over San Gimignano

it would be great to have more fruit for breakfast and more variety of savoury dishes

Excellent host, excellent facilities, outstanding views from our room.

Enrico and his mother were extremely kind and focused on our well being. For example, we had some difficulty opening the front door. Within minutes, Enrico had removed the door and undertook restoration of same. Quite amazing!

A couple of other guests made a lot of noice in the common area, but to be fair, they might have not known we were in our room sleeping.

Comfortable and warm room with great views in an historic house on the edge of town, so quiet but very convenient. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Excellent restaurant - one of the best so far during our walk through Italy on the Via Francigena. Good breakfast.

Central location, family owned, friendly and capable staff.

Central location up on the hill in the old city. Intimate building. Family owned (I met or spoke with three generations). Very close to a good restaurant. And from my room (named “The Big Lebowski”) a great view of the Tuscan countryside.

Lovely location in the old town of Gambassi Terme

Great location in the old town yet very quiet. Breakfast was very good. Great welcoming although we arrived earlier than announced.

Although the heating worked well, the room felt a little cold and humid in the evening (end of December).
