Disappointing

The bed/pillows were very comfortable The outside terrace is huge with spectacular mountain views

Washing machine was not working. I was told I should have sent a message in advance to make sure it was in working order. She did offer to wash any clothes for me though. I could not open the front door to the apartment. She did try to fix it to make easier opening by using tape over the mechanism. It didn't really work. I usually had to get one of the family to open the door every time I went home. Some areas not very clean No sunbed cushions

Owners screamed at us & slammed the door. Publicly shamed us for keeping ac running w/ heat wave

1. The spaciousness 2. Free transfer from the port 3. Owner was kind enough to help us bring our luggage up to the 2nd floor 4. The view was nice from the balcony

1. We communicated with the owner for a transfer from the port. When we arrived, he wasn't there , we had to ask another hotel to call him to get us. There was a heat wave at the time. Waiting in the heat was not pleasant. 2. We made arrangements with the owners for a late check out and negotiated a price to stay later. They took the money and were fine with it. The following day, our friends came by to drop off their luggages and their child while they all went to the beach, there were only 3 of us in the apartment ( we booked the apartment for 5 people). The owners was not happy that someone else was in the apartment ( the child) sitting on the couch, came in screaming at us for allowing unauthorized guest in the room, while the child was just sitting peacefully on the couch. After they were done screaming at us , they slammed the door extremely hard. We did not feel safe at all. They also asked us to leave and told us that we were burning their electricity by sitting in the house with the ac blowing. It was 40 degrees celcius outside and going to the beach was not an option for some of us. Even when we were at the supermarket downstairs, someone related to the owner publicly shamed us in front of everyone for keeping the ac running. 3. The drain in the bathroom would back up every time the shower or toilet was used. We were smelling nasty sewer odor all day. 4. We suspect that they have cameras in the house as they knew every move we made.

Beautiful, clean, comfortable, and relaxing stay!!

Vlada met me and two other guests right at the ferry and her husband picked up our bags soon after. We were all given a warm welcome. The room was beautiful, with a gorgeous mountain view and everything needed. It was a very relaxing stay and I would highly recommend!

I was grateful for the air conditioning in the bedroom, but it was quite warm in the kitchen/ living area during the day (this was in late June), possibly because airflow was from the other direction rather than the one the room was facing - then again, really not terrible (I'm just not used to heat coming from San Francisco!).

Great apartment, fabulous hosts

Zafeiris and Vlada are wonderful hosts. I was met at the ferry port and driven up to the apartment and given great advice on hiking trails, bus times and places to eat. The flat was clean, well equipped for the nights I cooked, spacious with a fabulous terrace and great views. WiFi was good throughout the stay and any queries I had were answered promptly.

Exceptional

The property is a winner. THe hosts are exceptionally kind and hospitable, and even met us at the ferry terminal (even though the property is only about 300 emtres away, it was a kind gesture and much appreciated). The apartment was huge - very spacious, with a lovely outside deck area and ample living space. The kitchen was well equipped and all the appliances worked. The internet was fast and the view of the surrounding mountains was a constant reminder of the peace and tranquility in this special island.

Good

The apartments are located in a perfect spot to visit the island. Very close to the port/main village but not so close to hear the noises. Zaifiris and his wife Vlada were always very responsive and kind with us for any requests we had. The apartments are very spacious with 2 double bedrooms a well furnished kitchen, washing machine for the clothes. There are also big terraces which we enjoyed only in the night because the weather was extremely hot during our staying. The apartments would need a bit more care and would enjoy a refurbishment especially the bathroom. Overall we had a pleasant staying

Your Home Away From Home !

Upon arrival we were met by the host who guided us to the apartment. The apartment is very large, clean and well furnished and centrally located. Perfect as a base to explore the island by car OR walk to the nearby beach. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful. Zafeiris Apartments is an absolute must for anyone who wants to visit the small island of Tilos!

Spacious apartment, good value for money

The spaciousness of the accommodation. Two big bedrooms, excellent living area and a huge balcony, superbly equipped with table, chairs, sun loungers and hammock. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. This was important to us, because in an 11-day stay we would always want to self-cater for part of it. It was possible to keep all the windows open all of the time because they were all covered by very effective mosquito screens. The port of Livadia was a 5 minute downhill walk away. The swimming was good, especially at the sheltered beaches of the Elidi Rock apartments. These are situated on the extreme left of the bay and are available for nor-residents for a small daily charge on enquiry at the reception. Zafeiris was very supportive. We were met at the port and returned - this was part of his normal service. He also runs a local supermarket, so whenever we bought items there he delivered them to our apartment door.

We were worried at the start about the possible traffic noise. The apartments are located right on the main road into and out of Livadia. The road is only a few metres away and the bedrooms are next to the road. Whilst we could occasionally hear the traffic, once we'd shut the windows at night and switched on the air conditioning, we both slept pretty well. I should add that whilst we were sitting on the balcony, the main impression was one of silence.
