Everything. We could not fault the accommodation.

It is a beautiful old stone building from 1785 with heavy oak beams. We stayed in the ground floor room which was most convenient with direct access to the car park. There was a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and our host was charming. We pre-ordered our dinner and breakfast which were both excellent. We only stayed one night but it would be a lovely place for a relaxing weekend away in the countryside.
The towels were quite ragged and threadbare.

Marc and Patricia were very friendly and because of the unusually strong heat, gave us the lower floor room with a fan as they knew we were worried about our dogs. The room was large and had an outdoor area nearby. You could order a three course evening meal to reheat for 22 Euros each which was a bargain. There is also a pool. We didn’t use it as a larger party of people seemed to have an issue with others going there, but it looked great too. Also Marc recommended a lake nearby for our dogs, which was a lifesaver as it was too hot for the to go for any walks. The lake was beautiful.
It was all great - it doesn’t have air-conditioning but with the fan the room was just about cool enough and we were there in the 2023 heatwave.

Beautiful, peaceful, authentic hamlet. Very friendly host & comfortable room. Nice breakfast and tasty dinner. We also enjoyed the swimming pool.

The property is situated in a small, quiet village, which we liked. There are sheep grazing closeby with bells around their necks, which created a lovely atmosphere as we sat outside. The owner was friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. Our dog was welcome. Chateau Chalon is worth visiting and within easy reach if you have a car.
Cleanliness should definitely be improved! Mugs in the kitchenette were cracked and dirty. Breakfast bowls still had dried bits of food stuck to them. Wooden staircase leading to the rooms was visibly dirty. Discovered the previous guest's underwear in the bathroom. Urine splashes against the wall in the toilet. This can be a truly lovely property once it has been deep-cleaned.

The low quality of the experience is uniquely connected with the fact that we booked 2 single rooms and were told that on account of a quack we had to share one, at the same price of two rooms. My friend snores and I didn’t sleep much. To be fair, the manager offered us the breackfast.

We were looking for a stopover for our trip to the South of France that was petfriendly. The property has a biiiiiig yard, which was awesome. Our son enjoyed the pool very much. Great stop! The restaurant wasn't cheap but worth its money, as the food was delicious. As other people mentioned, be sure to reserve a table in advance.
No airconditioning. They provided a fan, which helped a bit against the heath.

It is a restaurant with rooms. The room was excellent. The food at dinner was of a high standard. Mostly returning regulars. The owners charming and efficient. It was an unexpected joy!
This is not a criticism, but the place is some way by car from Toulouse-le-chateau through a village called Monay, left at church on a bit ant then Hameau dr Fangy. Only by chance dis we find it!!!!

This is a great place with a very good restaurant. Breakfast is in mode “serve yourself”; everything will be in the fridge and you have access to the kitchen to prepare your stuff (coffee or tea).
The only thing that was not ok for me: I had the room next to the kitchen and main entrance, so it was always noisy. Isolation is not so great as I could hear my neighbors from above, talking or walking. But these are details for those who are sensitive with noise. Otherwise all good.

This was a simple Chambres d’Hotes - near the Autoroute to the south, in a really charming hamlet. I was traveling during Covid, so could not sample the restaurant alas, which I hear is very good. The accommodation was simple but perfect. Everything you need for a good overnighter, including a splendid indoor pool.
Nothing.

Perfect dinner, a good night's sleep and a very decent breakfast in a romantic hideaway in a tiny valley nook of a village, minutes from the A39. We felt welcome in a place away from time and pandemic worries.
The windows, when open for ventilation, allow mosquitos to enter. No insect screen available.
