We had lovely stay the staff was there for us at all time and the food was also excellent all in it was one of best stay

Calm stay in Moshi

Quiet neighborhood. Lovely place to relax after the Kilimanjaro. Nice restaurant. Spacious room with a comfortable bed. Nice view at the Kilimanjaro!

Hot shower was most of the time not working. Far from town but with a bodaboda you will be in the centre in 10 minutes.

Great place to stay.

I have stayed at The Better Inn twice. The place is really nice and the staff are very kind. I travel with my tent but due to some unfortunate events at a campsite I needed help to repair my tent - they were extremely helpful and found solutions that I hadn't thought about, which I really appreciate. The Better Inn is in a quiet residential neighbourhood that I enjoyed walking around, and it is still close to town. Right outside the gate of the property you have a great view of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). To me the Better Inn is great value for your money, and I will definately stay again if I return to Moshi.

Every amenities you need for affordable price. Very very nice staff. They rent bikes there affordable also. Nice silent place like 2 km from town centre. By motorbike 5 minutes to centre. Very nice environment and mood there. Great view to Mount Kilimanjaro.

Really nice hotel and best price around!

Everything was perfect. Especially the staff was very friendly. The 2 girls at the reception, the cleaning lady, the manager and also Christian the Safari tour guide who speaks a 100% clear German which surprised us a lot. Will definitely come back :)

Worst place I've stayed in Tanzania.

Only positive thing was that the cook was willing to make breakfast at 6am.

Bathrooms are terrible, shower wets the toilet and rest of the small bathroom, toilet seat was broken, and there's no mirror. They kept on forgetting to turn on the boiler in the evening, so we had cold showers. Paint is coming off the walls. The garden is full of construction stuff. Bad service from personal. Try to sell you a Bajaji ride for double the normal price. Water is sold for 2000 TSH for 1L. Good to know that you can only pay with cash and most of the time they do not have change if you want to buy a drink.

Rather clean room, hot water in the shower, quiet area and nice outside

Staff doesn't speak much English and doesn't know how to help with questions about the area. Also in the time we stayed, the place was under construction- we weren't told about it before we arrived and the works created alot of noise and mess

ABSOLUTELY DISMAL ABD DISAPPOINTING!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also good.

I made this booking about 2 months prior to our stay and even double confirmed the booking with a follow up phone call and email. Only to arrive to the property on the day of our stay and they had not reserved any rooms for us. They tried to claim that I had cancelled my stay but luckily I had the booking.com confirmation and email communication. In the end they gave us two VERY DILAPIDATED rooms with broken windows, holes in the wall and ceiling, leaking toilets, etc. I also suspect that they bumped us off (I.e. Kenyans) to accommodate some European tourists. ABSOLUTELY DISMAL!!

Amazing staff and budget stay

I booked this spot originally because of the large mosquito nets around the beds. Overall there were not many mosquitos around to begin with. The staff was amazing especially Zedecki. He went out of his way to make sure my clothes were washed and dried as soon as I requested it post hiking up kilimanjaro. He also made my meals any time of the day or night. The owner stopped by and gave me a ride to the public bus station free of charge on my last day which was awesome.

The location was about 30 minutes walking from the city center and the next closest restaurant/bar is about a 15 minute walk.

In our room the hot water tap is actually the blue tap on the right! I found this out after my second cold shower.

The staff is very friendly. The dining area is very cosy and the breakfast was good. There was also a hot shower.

The room we got was much smaller than the one we booked. It was very different from the pictures. We felt like the pictures make everything look much better than it is... but it's a very cheap place to stay so it should be expected. There was also only one socket in the room.

Staff was very friendly, the garden lounge was comfy and the food was delicious for a reasonable price. Also there is a hot shower! Breakfast was good, but could have been a bit more.

There was no payment by card, but they didn't had change for paying cash either. We had to ask multiple times to get our change

Far from Moshi, I used it as a rest day after kili, so it was what I needed. I requested a taxi to kili airport and the asked me for 45$. I contacted the Moshi taxi and they took me for 30$

Great place for a short stay in Moshi

The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and the value for money is quite literally unbeatable.

The hot water was a bit lacking, and you basically can't walk anywhere from the hotel. You can catch a ride to town for a few thousand shillings.
