HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE

I hardly ever give one star ratings, but the Face Aparthotel deserves this assessment due to their horrible staff. We are not referring to the front desk staff with whom we did not interact but rather the "caretaker" who answered the phone on Christmas Day when we called to complain about the lack of heat. This person berated us for bothering her on Christmas. She told us we were inconsiderate to call with complaints on Christmas Day when she was trying to spend time with her family. We said, if you don't want to answer the phone to respond to legitimate complaints on Christmas Day, then don't rent rooms on Christmas. Apparently, this woman had no problem taking our money on Christmas Day. She just did not want to earn it. It was not as if we were calling because we had nothing better to do. We were calling to complain about the lack of heat - i.e. a basic amenity. Every time we called, the person said, "Don't worry, the heat will come on. It just takes a little time." Well, this runaround took place over the course of many hours, and the heat never came on. Finally, the horrible, rude woman turned off her phone and stopped taking our calls. We were forced to complain to booking.com. Thankfully, booking.com took care of us and provided a partial refund. Once booking.com stepped in, magically, the unprofessional woman starting communicating with us again. She and her electrician boyfriend stopped by to examine the apartment. They said, "There's ice and snow outside, but the apartment is warmer than the outside so you should be fine." Seriously? Is this the standard? As long as it is above 0˚C in the apartment, we should be fine? Never mind that we were shivering under the blankets and our faces and noses were cold like we were camping. So long as water is not freezing in the apartment, we should be A-okay.

Very good

Location, very convinent to public transportation. Staff at reception is nice and friendly. The apartment is very clean.

The wifi connection in our room is not stable, it can be lost easily The mattress and pillow are just too soft for me, I'm used to harder ones

Exceptional

Central location, clean and comfortable, very good value for money. Our room had outstanding view

A little bit spartan when it comes to equipment, like no spare pillows, blankets, toiletries etc. No oven tray. WIFi is poor. Stuff is seldom at reception. However, for us, that was minor and we did like the property.

Great apartment with all the necessary facilities nearby, plus perfect location . Highly recommended

We loved the location, there is plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance from the apartment.

The only thing we found difficult was the language barrier as when we got there a member of staff could not communicate in English language.

Disappointing

- WiFi did not work - heater was turned on in the middle of summer, no way to turn it off - reception was never occupied - FaceAparthotel did not respond to e-mails / question about the WiFi -no water boiler

Good clean apartment perfect for snowboard weekend away

Great size budget accommodation in brilliant location. Easy check in and out.

there was no wifi the beds were extremly uncomfortable. the staff was almost never at place, and didn't speak english we checked in late, and the room number we recieved by mail wasn't correct, so we enterred someone else's room. in general, rooms are basic at best.

Superb

Face hotel is right in the center so you can walk directly to the ski lift or cross country trails. The car is not needed. Apartment itself was nice with kitchen.

The elevator didn't work the day we were leaving so it was quite hard to move all our stuff from the 4 floor. But it can happen, not a big deal.

Very good

The appartment is clean and very central and equipped with all the necessary for a short stay. The view on the mountain is amazing. The building is quite calm.

One of the ladies at the front desk speaks only German, which can be an issue with non German guests who expect the staff to be able to speak in English. The WiFi really is an issue. There is WiFi but it is not a secure WiFi with a code. So in my case I was able to connect my phone to the WiFi but not my computer because my antivirus deemed that the connexion was not secure. And there was nothing I could do about it, but fortunately the staff gave me a phone with a hotspot so I could get a safe WiFi for my computer. So I would say WiFi won't necessarily be an issue for guests who are on a vacation, but guests who expect a good WiFi because they need to work, for example, should know that they it might be a problem.

Simple and comfy stay for winter holidays

Spaceful apartement for two to three people. Ski room available on site Very close to the cross country ski tracks. In front of a skibus stop (3min from the city center by bus). Clean and equipped kitchen

Spaciouse appartement with basic and pragmatic setup

The appartement is spaciouse and clean. And the location to go ski at Parsenn is perfect as it's only a short walk. Also some easy options to go shopping near by. We were able to check in early that was nice. We'll consider to book here again as verall a good price/value ratio.

1 Cofee capsul for 3 person and 4 nights is a bit stingy. Kitchen is equipped quite basic. It's not a big deal but except to cook rather basic. Ski room was not well secured, one day we came back and the door from the outside of the building was wide open. Very easy for someone to just walk in and remove a board or pair of ski.

Room comfy, I had a good stay.

Accommodation is ok. Great location, short walk to the lift for Parsenn. Bus stop right outside to take you around. Supermarket nearby to get supplies.

Room was poorly equipped. Not many utensils. Small cups, plates, mugs. Few pans, no chopping board, but you get a lemon press. Toaster included, but no kettle. Instead they provide you with a coffee machine that uses disposable plastic containers, and only give you one as they want you to buy more from reception. Cleanliness was ok, floor was dirty.

Superb

Good sized apartment with great view and well located for train, bus and ski lift.

Shower over bath needs updating. Bed was soft though slept OK.

Big comfortable flat, well equipped but needs a kettle!

Size - plenty of space for 6 people. Very comfortable mattresses and lots of storage space. Generally well equipped kitchen with oven, hob and microwave, and plenty of crockery, and a coffee machine. Very convenient for all Davos sights, with bus stop directly outside.

Needs a kettle, we had to boil water in a pan for tea. Also needs an oven tray or dish, there were only pans for the hob provided. The terrace needs a table and chairs, it really can‘t be used for anything as just an empty space. Reception was not manned very frequently, and ALL the other guests we saw gathering in the reception are as well as some of the staff were not wearing masks, despite the ‚maskenpflicht‘ signs.
