The location was superb, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful to give us things we needed.

Breakfast was not included so we had breakfast in town instead.

There was empty wine bottles in below the sink and half used small shampoo containers in the bathroom, and also the shower slip mat needed to be cleaned.

Nothing really, the mirror in the bathroom of our room was very high. My wife had to stand on tiptoe to put on my makeup! Minor complaint tbf :-)

Great stay in a lovely village

Perfect location in the centre of Clonakilty, a lovely, lively village! David was a great host, always accommodating to any needs, and offering teas and coffees. Even left some pastries and mince pies for us as we had an early flight!

Excellent value and a charming stay

Great location - walking distance to the town. Lovely room - huge comfortable bed. Absolutely delicious breakfast - and lovely afternoon coffee/tea with homemade scrumptious pastries. Delightful hosts.

The rugs in the room were uneven and a minor tripping hazard. The breakfast in the room is a lovely touch however, I would prefer a table at regular height rather than a coffee table to eat from - purely for digestive reasons. Also, while the dogs are sweet, if you are not a dog person, just be aware they come happily into your room for a visit!

A disappointing stay

Nordic Guesthouse is a private house near the centre of Clonakilty. It’s easy to walk into the town centre, for good food and music - for instance, De Barra’s Bar. The hosts are very kind and solicitous.

The pictures are flattering and show the room some time ago, when the Buddha still had its head and the sofa was not covered in stains. Unfortunately the room and en-suite are now very tired. There is an air of smoking (an ash tray is provided) and the furniture on the balcony is rusted beyond repair. The plug socket by the bed is falling apart. The bathroom is disgusting - the state of the toilet bowl, towel rail missing, nowhere to put shower gel inside the shower. No soap or any products were provided. There’s a coffee machine but no capsules. Bizarrely, there was milk alongside camomile tea bags but no black tea. The bed is old, noisy and uncomfortable. A really disappointing stay
