I met Ketut at Waring Ting Ting and we walked up the hill and through some winding paths to Rumah Kelinci. It's a beautiful place set over a river. My room was spacious, had a good mosquito net, covered outdoor area, kitchen and lounging area. Air con was good and bathroom was nice and spacious. Communal pool was small but was nice and fresh with a hang out bed area to chill. There was a really nice small round table to chill on at the top of the property. The place grew on me day by day. Took about 8/10 mins to get into and back from town on a scooter with no traffic (but there's always traffic).

Excellent location not far from Ubud, but super quite and spacious. Right in the jungles!
Ketut (the host) is extremely friendly and always ready to help! We liked him a lot! He also helped to rent a scooter for reasonable price.
If you get breakfast on the villa, a nice lady comes and cooks it for you in your kitchen - which is very convenient! You eat and enjoy the jungles sound and view.
Nothing! Was super experience!

The villa was big. There was a large private outdoor area. The shared paths and areas looked very beautiful.
Nothing really

The property is so beautiful and peaceful and the staff are able to help with anything. We loved it so much we ended up extending our stay

it truly was like a super cool cabin in the jungle. probably the most unique villa I’ve been in
it lacked some basic amenities like toothpaste and toothbrush, small roads makes it almost impossible for cars to go close to the property so you’d have to carry your luggage a small ways
4.6
It is a traditional style Balinese villa, very spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet situated among the rice paddies The staff are warm, welcoming, friendly and willing to accommodate any request.

Secluded and surrounded by nature villa, far from the noise and people. Really nice host who did his best to make our stay comfortable. Quite big territory which is dedicated for you

1. very quite location but not far from the city center, several good cafes and restaurants and mini markets within walking distance, a supermarket is in 7min by scooter
2. i was in Kelinci 2 and I was very happy, a big room, a stylish bathroom, a clean kitchen with everything you need, no insects in the room, huge terrace where you can eat, sunbathe or just relax. the pool is very beautiful and always clean
3. and of course the host Ketut and his team are very friendly and caring. it was nice to see how attentive he was not only to the guests but also to the villa
I cannot imagine what could be better

The room is located in a beautiful garden that is very well maintained. The owner is extremely nice as well as his employees. We stayed there 10 days and were offered cleaning every 3 days including changing towels, linen, collecting trash bins, cleaning bathroom and floors. We had our own kitchen which was perfect to cook breakfast, but would be enough to cook other meals as well if necessary. Almost everyday in the morning one of the employees was making an offering in our garden, which only made us feel more welcomed.

Beautiful location. Quiet and great walking distance or motorbike to Yellow Flower cafe, Intuitive Yoga, Alchemy, Zest, Bintang supermarket and right near by is Paddy’s point. Ketu is a great host. We read negatives reviews about mould but we didn’t experience this at all. We extended our time here and can’t wait to come back. There was rarely anyone at the pool, felt like our own. A great space to have a routine and work remotely (really good internet) if you are short term travel like 3 weeks I highly recommend.
Maybe update some kitchen resources is all.

Having read a review below prior to our stay in Villa 3 we got quite anxious but we needn’t have worried. Yes, everything (the walls, the bedding, the cabinet shelves) was moist on our arrival – it all was gone after having the AC running on dry mode for a couple of hours and never emerged again. Apart from that, everything was kept clean, the mouldy thing on the ceiling had been fixed, the air inside was fresh. We only had to take two big bugs outside throughout our whole stay (they were already in the bathroom when we arrived), as we never kept the entrance door wide open there was no other way for big insects to get in. Perhaps we were just lucky but there weren’t any mosquitoes at all although the place is located on top of a jungle river. We had been planning to work from the nearest coworking space but surprisingly the WiFi speed was decent enough for the 2 of us to attend video calls simultaneously (80 Mbps both download & upload), so we ended up working from the villa.
- The location is perfect as it’s at a distance from the busy Ubud traffic, and at the same time it’s quite close to everything (15 min walk to Bintang Supermarket, 30 min walk to Ubud centre). The road to the villa goes through some beautiful rice fields, so even though it’s not accessible by car, every walk was worth it
- You get a totally private space including your own backyard. It was always very quiet around, and even when it was raining we couldn’t hear it with the door closed
- The owners are the kindest and nicest people we’ve ever met. We had no need to contact them often, but if we had any issue it got resolved within minutes
- The villa was cleaned and towels and bedding were changed frequently. If we needed anything to be done or changed in between cleaning days, it was done upon request
- The pool area is absolutely lovely. Although it was shared, it was hardly ever occupied
- We’ve found it difficult to use the kitchen – the ants and the kitchenware stored outside made it quite discouraging. It’s understandable however that there was nothing to be done about that as ants would always gather around food. We’ve only been using the fridge as no ants could get inside it. Luckily there were many nice and cheap warungs at a walking distance and also endless delivery options, so in the end it wasn’t an issue at all
- The main room was only lit enough on sunny days, but the bathroom was always very dark
- Someone tried ironing the mosquito net above the bed so it got damaged, which didn’t make it look attractive

I’d like to point out that owners of the place are great. They’re kind, nice and helpful. Possibly one of the humblest hosts I’ve had.
We booked the villa in advance, in order to have kitchen, place to work and spend time during the day.
We’ve been spending minimum time at the place, as it was full of mold. I’ve never been exposed to such amounts of mold before.
I understand we were in the middle of the jungle/forest, but this was a critical situation. Tried to find another place to stay, but unfortunately, Ubud was fully booked. We had AC working almost 24/7 in order to make the air inside a bit better, so we can at least sleep inside.
Villa 3 is a bit dark and you don’t get enough day light inside.
While they were cleaning floors and bathroom, changing towels, sheets, clesning dishes too - there were parts that haven’t been cleaned in a while. Lots of thick spider nets, dust in the closet. Rusty and not cleaned kitchen appliances, we didn’t even want to open the cabinets. Clothes stayed in the luggage and on the chairs for 10 days, as closets were dirty inside.
We used fridge one day, but the ants showed up inside somehow, so we had to throw away the food and we haven’t used the fridge anymore.
Internet connection isn’t good for working, especially not for video calls.
We didn’t mind geckos (regardless of the size) inside, as they’re harmless. Prepare for lots of bugs, ants, mosquitoes, lizards, since you’re in the forest.
I guess in order to have a decent place to stay, you have to pay much more. We learned the hard way. The place looks old and it needs refurbishment.
There’s also a tricky road to get to the villa, as you can’t access it with the car, but scooter only. You get used to it after a while, but for some people that might be an issue.
Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place to anyone, as being exposed to such amounts of mold can have lots of impact to anyone’s health.

Rumah Kelinci is situated between rice fields and lush tropical plants flowers. The park is full of plants and flowers, clean and well maintained. There is a pleasant pool as well. The Kelinci is just 50 meters from a small restaurant and within 5 minutes walking distance, there are 2 other restaurants, a laundry, artisan café and numerous small local shops. The western style Bintang mall and and the center of Ubud are in 25 minutes walking distance.
I stayed in Kelinci 4. The villa has an open sitting area a closed bedroom, bathroom, an open kitchen area and a terrace. The room is simple with a large double bed and a desk, there is enough storage place for your stuff.
The bathroom is spacious the hot water is really hot, the water pressure is perfect. The shower has a wall mounted and a hand held part. The towels changed frequently.
The kitchen has a sink, gas stove top and fridge. The stove top has two hobs and the fridge is big enough the freezer cools perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals.
The staff is kind and helpful, Ketut helps not only to rent a scooter or organize an excursion but he showed me how to wear a sarong too. They are in everyday contact with the customers.
I liked my stay at Rumah Kelinci, I can recommend it for long and short term rent.

When I arrived I let the host know and they met me with the keys and showed me around. Breakfast (including coffee) is offered any days you like it at a reasonable price. The apartment was kept well with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. The surroundings are really peaceful so it was an amazing place for getting enough sleep and working. Lots of lovely vegan places within walking distance, but bikes available everywhere and the hosts will always offer you transport or trips out that they help organise with a friendly driver. The hosts were amazing, made sure I always had everything I needed. I spent an amazing two weeks here, and would recommend it to anyone! The photos really didn't do the place justice either, it was so much bigger than I thought! The pool was amazing.
These aren't negatives for me, but something future guests might like to consider:
The room does smell a little damp, which is par for the course with buildings like this in tropical climates. But it is of course easy to open the doors and air the place. Might be a consideration for long-term stays.
Again, a given in this environment with an apartment that's open to the outside - there were often different bugs around that sometimes had to be taken outside. Not a problem for me, I'm very happy to live with nature, but something for squeamish people to consider.
4.6
Perfect on both counts, breakfast was excellent.
We liked everything about this place, Ketut and his staff/family were outstanding, nothing was a problem.
We have been to Bali on many occasions and we can confidently say that for the price this is by far the best place we have stayed in.
The location is well away from the madness that is central Ubud and is set amongst the rice paddies of Sayan only a 20 - 25min. very pleasant walk to Ubud if you want to go there and similarly a 15min walk to the Bintang Supermarket.
Plenty of places to eat in the area and great local food along Jl. Raya Sayan including the not to be missed Babi Guling.
many people staying in this area rent a little motor scooter to get around on (readily available everywhere) which can useful but isn't necessary (plenty of taxis available).
There was nothing we didn't like.

I liked everything - this is one of the best places i ever stayed! Big room, quiet place, good breakfast, very friendly host, good location and view from our villa.
Nothing!

Amazing Balinese villa. One of the best places we've ever stayed. Huge verandas, gorgeous plunge pool, massive indoor living space. Set in a peaceful area but near cafes. Surrounded by nature. Superb.
4.6
The villa was superb, decorated in true indonesian style, with two big en-suite bedrooms, a huge living room/kitchen area, as well as a terrace with a wonderful view upstairs where you can practice yoga in the morning.
The location was great, just a 25-minute walk from Ubud centre, but isolated enough so that you wouldn’t be disturbed by the traffic/loud people.
The staff was wonderful, we arrived pretty late at night and they were nice enough to drive us to a supermarket so that we could buy some food/drinks (bare in mind that almost every restaurant in the Ubud area closes at 10pm).
The breakfast was delicious and filling. For lunch/dinner, we recommend Paddy Point, it’s a warung right next to the villa and offers cheap and really good food.
The doors don’t close properly, so don’t be surprised if you wake up with a gecko inside your room (that happened to us, but we didn’t mind it as it was part of the charm of Bali nature).
Walls are very thin, so you can hear everything (for us it was okay, however that might pose a problem for really light sleepers).
