Spectacular location. LOVED the laundry facilities! Needed to use all our fruit and veges before crossing back to SA, and was happy to find a lemon juicer to juice the 3 lemons we had picked up along the way!
4.0
Loved the location.
Cottage was lovely, warm and clean.
Bed was massive.
Beautiful, tranquil surroundings.
Beautiful hot water, great pressure in the shower.
Nothing really.
3.5
location, clean
bushes blocking walk way

Rain water for making drinks would be appreciated. The town water is bore water and I find it undrinkable.

The Location
It had a musty smell. The indoor front mat was filthy. That was our welcome. The heating did not work. It was dusty and there was dirt around all taps and plug holes. The windows were filthy.
3.5
Location was excellent, very clean, basic facilities provided.
Beds not particularly comfortable, the "large bed" was 2x singles combined.
4.5
No wifi but house was, tho simple, very comfortable. Couldn’t get heating working, but there was a space heater that was perfectly adequate.
Lovely views from great walk-to-CBD location.
No wifi

house was clean, close to everything and well equipped
the house had an old musty smell on arrival.
2.0
Good location, good bedrooms, good outlook onto pond.
Dirty - carpets, windows, light fittings, couches (hair and smelly) exterior area, BBQ.
cold water tap iin bathroom broken (now fixed)
Musty smell when walked into property, had to open up whole place. Old kitchen knobs coming off bottom draw.
Property has good potential but needs a complete overhaul. Attention to detail was very poor.
3.5
Lovely quiet location
Outdated decor, electric blanket leads dubious, old blood stain on mattress protector
4.0
Great location by a little lake with a group of other cottages only a short stroll from the main streets. A nice roomy cottage the size of a small house, plenty of space. Appreciated the range of kitchen utensils appliances and items. Easy parking and access to cottage with its own grounds. Nice shower.
Reverse cycle heater and air-con was not working at all. Malfunction buttons dis[played that it required
maintenance; we couldn't do anything about that on a weekend. Luckily there was a portable IXL Heater in the bedroom which we were able to use to warm the living area on a wintry weekend. Also blinds were broken at top of curtain rail.
4.0
Air con / heater. No milk or condiments.

in a good spot
cold and uncomfortable. there was hair in the shower and several spiders in the house. heating was inadequate.
3.5
Great location, very quiet and within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, wharf, etc. Comfy beds and good quality bedlinen, nice towels and toiletries in bathroom.
Small split system mounted in wall in lounge room, inadequate for heating whole house and filter needed cleaning (lights flashing, and house smelled damp/musty on arrival). Exposed wires and overloaded powerpoint in bedroom with 2x single beds.
3.5
Location is perfect, walk to shops and most places to visit. The view and the setting is lovely.
When we arrived at the cottage it smelt of and old house that has been locked up for months. It was clean but perhaps needs a deep clean, carpet maybe, to get rid of the musty smell. We did open all the doors and windows to freshen it up.
4.5
Great location. Beautiful outlook, very private and quiet. So easy to walk everywhere.
The water (not the accommodation fault but Port Fairy's supply of treated bore water.) It was undrinkable, especially in coffee and tea.
4.5
Quiet location but short flat walk to the main town centre. The outlook onto the little lake with bird life was lovely. Ample comfortable seating and kitchen crockery etc was in plentiful supply. Good value
Wasn't there to watch tv but a bigger one would have been appreciated.
3.5
Loved the plan of the house. Very family friendly, with Webber and outdoor setting.
My husband had to fix the TV by connecting the wire to antenna. And the heater didn't work until my husband cleaned the filters and reset at the power box.

Ok
Dark and needs a complete refresh.Television was propped up with a bible and still on an awkward angle.Air conditioning was difficult to operate.Gardens not really attractive. No carport or cover for car.Shower room was very confined.

maybe needs wifi and a hairdryer

No breakfast provided. Location good. Comfortable but a little tired.
Kitchen utensils somewhat grotty and needed a good clean. Windows and whole interior needed a thorough clean and spruce up. Lawns around cottage needed mowing. No matches to light mosquito coils provided. Two sets of pepper and salt shakers were empty.

Location, setting and size / layout suited our needs.
We had to vacuum the floor and couches when we first moved in but other than that OK

The King bed had no joiner and was also has a very hard mattress. Only mentioning it so owner is aware otherwise everything was excellent.

parts of the outside area very untidy

Clean and comfortable. Cosy,it was very cold during our stay, so we were grateful for the heating and electric blankets. The location was excellent, close to the town centre and lovely views of the lake.
No Wifi. Would also have appreciated a more modern TV, on which we could stream from our devices.
4.5
Not applicable. We went out to local cafes for breakfast.
No music system (but then these days I guess everyone has phones and portable speakers. Unfortunately, we left our speaker at home and didn't bring any cassettes (who has any these days). Wasn't an issue though, TV was fine.
I would like to know more about the history of the cottages but there wasn't anything in the cottage giving this info. Also, the history of the area, the pond in front. But these are not major issues at all. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and will endeavour to come again.
4.5
The incredible amount of paperwork sent to me over the period leading up to our stay [I think more than 15 emails] All for a 2 night stay.!!
4.5
The cottage had everything we needed and the view across the lake was idyllic.
Walk or drive into town.
Great having a separate shower as well as main bathroom.

The position was great. Loved the pond at the side of the property
Very overgrown and unkept outside. Very dark in entry and the bedrooms. Bathroom needed maintenance. The bed was uncomfortable and bedding shabby. Surface cleaned only, needs a good spring clean. It didn’t feel welcoming.
4.0
Self contained in a quiet setting with a lovely outlook
A few things had run down
