Location great, very near to center of Kalapaka. Comfort was great since it is appartmant of 100m2 +. All communication with host was over viber.
Since there is no roof and it is last floor , it was very hot inside the appartement during the day and night , so airconditioning was must.

Great location, right in the centre of Kalabaka but on a side street which was very quiet yet within walking distance of all the best taverns and shops. The apartment is quite large, with good size rooms and bathrooms and a nice big balcony.
The building itself could use a bit of an update, but other than that everything was really nice.

Spacious and well located. The price was very reasonable. Directions and communication were excellent. It was easy to find and we were able to find the keys and get in very easily.
The apartment is above a gym and there were people working out with fairly loud music on until at least 10 pm. Because we were still jet lagged we were hoping to get to bed pretty early. There was also a dog nearby (maybe even in the building) that would bark for long stretches throughout the night.
1.0 / 10.0
The apartment is large, and the location is good from a point of view of distance to the centre, but the street is very dark and the entrance to the building is even scary.
Where to begin…
- There was a strong smell to petrol (not normal at all) all over the building. In fact, the windows of the apartment were open (January 1) when we arrive trying to hide it but didn’t worked it. The next morning some of us woke up dizzy.
- Cleaning: The kitchen is opened and the last one should had made a barbecue because menu things were sticky. The curtains were dirty, the toilets seats absolutely yellowed (like many other things).
I lost a coin in the sofa and when I introduced my hand in it to look for it well…better not say.
- Missing services: Lift was out of order, one of the heating machines didn’t work (remember it was January 1) and the rest made a horrible repetitive noise what made very difficult to sleep), washing machine was broken (we specially rented the apartment with washing machine because we were 7 days traveling around Greece and we needed it).
- Special mention to the beds. I still cannot describe how bad that mattresses were, you need to live it to describe it.
I am still trying to understand how it could have such a high rating. it’s absolutely impossible. The photos are absolutely outdated and made by a really good professional photographer.
That charming ambient that looks like to have…forget it.
Given the circumstances, mainly the smell and the cold inside, and that one of the girls was pregnant, we leaved the apartment the next morning and tried to solve it with the owner, who never answered.
The hotels and apartments were fully booked and even though we rather to modify our trip and spend one day less in Meteora than to continue in the apartment.
I didn’t want to write any about such a bad experience because we are still in vacation and I didn’t want to expend just a minute in that, but the owner has told Booking.com that we weren’t in his apartment trying to avoid a bad review (now I understand the high rating) and it makes me feel that I have to do something to prevent others to fall into the same trap.

the apartment was large and spacious. the beds were comfortable and the rooms a good size. both bathrooms were spacious. the parking is on the street but there is enough space at all times. Communication was exceptional. the keys were easily accessible with a code. The heating was fast and warm throughout the apartment
all perfect. Highly recommend.

Spacious appartment located in city centre, good starting point for visit Meteora. Very comfortable.

The apartment is well located, very close to the city center- 2 min walk. Free parking in front of it, clean, nice host, good value for the money.
I recommend it only as a transit accommodation - starting 2 nights might result uncomfortable.
I consider the pictures presented on Booking.com misleading, much better than reality.
I would call it simply “City Center Apartment”, nothing luxurious there.

Location of the flat is really good. Close to a train station, close to the city centre. It is indeed spacious and clean as advertised.
Experience of living in this flat in a group of 4 adults and two small kids aged 5m and 2yrs is a little bit weird. My main complain is about temperature. Air conditioning is clearly not up to the task of cooling such huge space. Running all units on full fan speed for 24 hours got us to 29 degrees Celsius in the evening. AC units were set to 19 degrees. Making kids fall asleep was challenging in such heat. We raised complain with the owner, he agreed to send an electrician to check it out. Electrician got in, wawed his hands that it is working, that it is very cool and he left. There were other issues that made our stay with kids more difficult:
- elevator out of order, we had to carry a stroller up and down every time we went out
- Inability to use the washing machine - this is a no brainer. Why? Why?
- Inability to cook and use hot water at the same time
- Plug for bathtub was missing, so we couldn't bathe the 5m old.
- A cradle for baby was unusable, no support underneath a mattress.
- Missing basic kitchen equipment like kitchen knives, we had to buy one
- No oil or basic spices
- No tabs for dishwasher
As a cherry on top, we were finishing our packing around 11:50 when a guy rang a bell, shouting at as that we must leave. Checkout was till 12:00. Later we found out that he was supposed to be the next guest.

5 min from the main street with all the restaurants, yet no noise at all in the flat.
Huge flat with 3 bedrooms and a comfy living room. All with AC.
Excellent kitchen with great stove, oven, and coffee. Alas, no microwave.
Free and safe parking on the street.
The host was very responsive, nice, and even booked a tour for us.
Both the bath and shower are terrible in multiple ways. The shower head is horrible, the curtain is short and spilling water everywhere, the hot water only last for 10 min after 30 min heating that cannot run while cooking.

The apartment is very big, it feels like home, it has a lot of furniture and the kitchen is equiped with everything you need. I don't think it was meant to be rented. The apartment is really close to the center of Kalabaka (Kalampaka), close to taverns and supermarkets. The host can help you obtain Meteora Trips with a discount. The internet connection was really good. We spent 2 nights here and we totally recommend it.
