The room is clean and tidy. It has a relatively large toilet area with 2 sinks. Breakfast was provided for the three of us which was included in the room charge.
The two single beds are barely enough to accommodate for 3 people so 2 people sharing a small bed could not sleep confortably.

已经是第二次入住了,很喜欢酒店的氛围环境,给我们加了床。床品很舒服,早餐很好吃,品种丰盛,我们是三个人,服务人员还贴心的送了三瓶水。
没什么不好的

Thank you Candy and all staff of Holiday Inn Express Tianjin Downtown.

Awesome bedroom
The food at the hotel restaurant was not as good as it should be in a hotel like this

The room was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The table in the bedroom was a little dusty. There wasn’t much variety for the breakfast, limited options.

This is our go-to in Tianjin as staff are friendly and it's good value.
Found a few hairs in the shower on arrival, which has never happened before (we stay here often).

Let’s get this out of the way - this hotel is amazing. The lobby of the hotel is spacious and there is ample space to relax before heading out. The check-in procedure was prompt. The staff, including chefs, cleaning lady and reception were always exemplarily polite and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, and very quiet even though it was facing the road. We paid 470RMB a night for a superior queen room including breakfast (use the booking.com app for extra discounts) and for that money it was outstanding value. The hotel has a decent swimming pool (1.3m deep) and a very good gym. Sure, there are no bars or plates, but there are several machines and dumbbell pairs 2.5kg~25kg. For a hotel gym, this is excellent. Cherry on top is the fact that every time I went there, I was the only one working out. Of course, this probably is related to the pandemic, but IMHO the gym was spacious enough for 10 people to work out at the same time. Finally, the breakfast was fantastic - there was a lot of variety that was kept fresh throughout and it was available 6:30 to 10am. I found myself waking up at 6am just to go enjoy the breakfast early. At booking, most, if not all comparable hotels went for 50~100% more. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there, can’t recommend it enough and can’t wait to go back.
There are very few negatives to speak of. You have to pay a 1000RMB deposit in advance that will be refunded to you upon check out, but that’s common in hotels if you don’t pay by credit card. The breakfast would have been perfect with some cheese. Lastly, the hotel is a bit further away from the subway (20 min walk), but it is central enough and well connected (bus stops are in front of the hotel) so that you can get wherever you need to go in a reasonable amount of time.

Good area. Nice facilities. Clean room.
Nothing is cost friendly in Tianjin, but considering the amenities, the price was a bit steep.
3.5
Good breakfast and nice staff
The “family room” was supposed to be for 4 adults but upon arrival we found out that there was not enough beds for everyone- I reserved a room stating that we where a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, I even specifically said they where 12 and 15- we ended up having an uncomfortable night
A king bed and an additional bed are not enough for 4 people and neither make the room a family room

Entrance hall / Room
Swimming pool (low ceiling / not well maintained)

Very new building not far from centre on Tianjin. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the man who checked us in who was really nice. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was the best bit though. We expected only a limited buffet but it was fantastic with so many options.
No complaints at all. A tiny bit further out than I probably wanted to be but taxis are cheap so it wasn't a problem.

This was our second stay here and as always it perfectly meets expectations and is great value for money. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Our initial room was very hot so we were upgraded to a spacious family room. The breakfast was nice and varied, and hotter this time (one of our complaints last time was that items were cold).
We had to move rooms as our initial room was very hot. Also, the location isn't ideal for sightseeing, but it's quick and easy to get most places by cab, and worth it for the great value offered by this hotel. Tip: it seems hotels in Tianjin can't turn on their air con in spring. If the weather is warm, rooms on the south side get very hot. So plan ahead to request a room on the north side.
