its in a pretty good overall location of the city. unfortunately the little street smells like pi**.
the hotel is clean
they dont offer complimentary water when you call for more. so all you get is once per day 33cl tiny bottles and if you want more you have to pay 3€ for each extra. ridiculous for a 5*. i had to go to a supermarket and carry a 6x1.5 liters basket to my room or i would have gone broke in the hotel.
also they ask for 3€ for a bag of tea (or coffee) in the room. for a tea which i still have to make myself!!! ridiculous! also they miss a sustainable initiative. even when i hang my towel it gets replaced every day.

Staff was wonderful, helping, and all done with a smile
Access is a bit out of the way, from the Main Street, but it’s in the heart of the city center. It actually adds to the charm, hidden away in a back alley

The staff were very helpful and polite.
Good central location
Lack of bottled drinking water in the room on several of the nights

Beautiful hotel. Gorgeous room. We had a deluxe room with two Juliet balconies, stand alone deep bathtub, well appointed bathroom with water closet and spacious rain shower. Great location!!!!
We only stayed two nights. :-( LOL

Good boutique hotel in a central location in Madrid. Most sites, bars and restaurants were walkable.
Interior suite room with poor natural light not enhanced by dim interior lighting. This looks good generally but sometimes brighter lighting is needed .... and in this rooms case (214) not possible!

Hotel - amazing! It's hard to believe this is the oldest hotel in Madrid. The renovations that were completed make the space feel modern but still pay tribute to the history.
Rooms - amazing! Very clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable.
Location - amazing! Walking distance to many interesting neighborhoods, excellent restaurants and bars
Staff - amazing! Incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful. I would be remiss if I didn't specifically mention Alex at the bar. His cocktails are true works of art, and the conversations were even better.
Thank you all for a truly wonderful stay. We have found a new home away from home when we travel to Madrid.

Excellent location in the heart of Madrid. staff all superb and helpful. Lovely bar and spa.
A little street noise from adjoining bars.

So far, the best hotel I have experienced in Madrid. Best location, everything clean, sharp, detailed, so much love from the staff, the best food near-by. I can't just say It has one flaw. It's the best in Madrid, has nice stores around like LV, Dior, Cartier, Valentino, etc. They have 3 enjoyable bars out in the same street with Latino music, nightclubs and more. You don't need to walk far to see everything good about Madrid. The food was good in the lobby too. They have Cardamomo in front of your doors to see Flamenco. And a delightful Tapas bar with the best Spanish taste.

Breakfast while solid is pricey and lacks variety

Very friendly staff, clean and stylish rooms, great location. You always feel welcome at this hotel and every with is fulfilled. Thanks to the team for the great week we spent at Hotel Ingles.
Service at the Bar/Restaurant, unattentiv. Waitress would rather talk for 15 min. Instead of bringing the bill. Sitting in front of empty plates for ages.

Location was excellent, as was bathroom and comfortable big bed. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing, with small portions.
